I just came to say that Deppy are testimony of love, and I'm so sorry if this is too trash, but the last 10 minutes of Dan's live show left me happily dead. They are literally planning their lives together Not a surprise tbh, but it's incredible to know what are their plans anyway. I can't wait to see what other things they have on their agendas for this year.

I'm so glad I got to watch that Dan show live. Totally forgot to set an alarm the night before but got woken up by my sister an hour before it started anyway ... what luck! (and the opposite to last week, when Phil had his an hour early and my alarm went off just as he finished ) I always watch them either in bed or when I'm getting ready/eating breakfast, and this was such a cosy one. I totally agree with his thoughts on Cursed Child: the plot is kinda terrible, but the characters (for the most part) and dialogue are memorable. I wish I could see the effects they use to create the magic.

Late to the party, but I did like the 2016 memes vid. I laughed a lot, and honestly any main channel video that's 23 minutes long and makes me laugh like that is a win in my book (ironically, one of my favourites last year was Dan's diss track, lol). I was startled by the tears at the end, but Dan is the kind who wears his emotions/feelings readily. He just has big reactions to things, if you know what I mean.

So I feel like this is just me being stupid, and I'll own up to it completely that being the case. BUT, for conversation's sake (and because it's been a bit since I've made a post,) I'm diving in.

Growing up it was always thrown around that one earring--specifically in the right ear--was a sign of someone being gay. Blah blah stereotypes and obviously people used it as an aspect to try and make fun of people, but it was really common knowledge (?) where I grew up for that to be the association. Not even just amongst trashy students, either, but I have other uni friends who identify as LGBT and have specifically discussed the "gay earring" (lol).

So Dan mentioning wanting to wear a single earring on his right side like Troye and Connor (two well known gay guys) has me

However I'm self aware enough to know that this maybe isn't a super well known trend and also the single earring is just a fashion statement in general. I almost feel bad for trying to overanalyze simple earring choices like the dude can't do something nice without his sexual identification getting thrown around. Just sharing the train of thought my mind went down.

I love Chris, he's a very expressive actor and that's a sweet shot of him talking to Deppy. Mitchell Davis is hilarious too, it'd be fun to see them work together on something.

I think he just meant because Evan Peters has become a bit of an overdone thing with Dan, and maybe he thinks some people would be annoyed by that? E.g. that bit in the diss track about Jennifer Lawrence and Evan Peters, he's traditionally been Dan's go-to guy crush so maybe he thinks people would be annoyed as it's so on-brand. Maybe?

Also, I know about that earring thing too, my friend's extremely homophobic dad got his left ear pierced and was very quick to assure us that it wasn't his right But yeah, doesn't necessarily mean that'd be his intention, still interesting though. I'd be surprised if he'd never heard of it.

The right ear earring thing was definitely a popular urban legend around here too... That somehow ended up just circulating as a homophobic joke only ("I pierced my LEFT year, I'm not gay!!!") and never seemed to have reached the actual LGBT community as a trend, lol.

I'm kind of puzzled why he mentioned Troye and Connor though, Connor has an earring in his left ear?? And Troye doesn't even wear one? Did I miss something?

I thought he mentioned Troye because of curls+ring piercing combo look. Troye has a metal nose ring. So he might tell it just to set an example what type of ring he wants.

My mind pretty much went to the same place due to the connotations with having the looped earring in "that ear". But then again, there were many instances before this-such as blatant sexual attraction mentions, so this isn't that much of a shocker. It's just the

He's probably just expressing mostly male attraction lately to make up for all the repressed years in the past where he marketed himself as an edgy straight dude lol. In all seriousness though, it makes me so damn happy to see him so okay with himself lately. That's not an easy journey to go through, especially with how popular he was at the time. Him being comfortable enough to talk about male attraction and mental illness so bluntly is heartwarming.

You're probably right, sorry. I just related it with him saying it's okay to joke about mental health issues, but he did never technically specify a specific illness, so sorry! I didn't mean it like that, but I'll be sure to change my wording in the future.

He actually doesn't talk about Sarah Michelle Gellar that much even, he mentions Buffy specifically far more. Zayn is probably the one he talks about finding attractive most, but it's always focused on looks quite a lot, I don't get the sense that it's a full on crush so much as an attraction. He also used to have a Robert Downey, Jr. sticker on his laptop.

In general I feel like Phil just isn't into celebrity crushes nearly as much as Dan. Generally in the past the only person Phil is flirtatious with/expresses attraction to (where people who follow/watch him can see) are people he's genuinely interested in.

I really did not like Dan's meme video. I thought maybe it was because I was tired when I watched it so I tried rewatching it, but less than 2 minutes through I realized no, I just really don't like it. For some reason it really annoyed me. All of Dan's reactions just seemed SO fake and OTT (over the top for Dan, which is saying something). Every time he said "oh my god, REALLY?!" I wanted to cry. I don't know why I disliked this one so much, as I liked the one last year well enough, but something about this one was just really offputting. I feel like Dan was just trying to recreate the one last year and it didn't work. And also towards the end he didn't even show "memes" he just talked about things that happened. Haha sorry for the rant, normally I really like Dan's videos, something about this one just really annoyed me.

I missed the beginning half of his liveshow but I'll have to go back and watch the first half, it seemed like a good one. But to whoever said he seemed anxious towards the end, I sort of agree. For the last like 15 minutes maybe he was CONSTANTLY fiddling with that Lego watch.

I would be more inclined to say probably not a birthday gift just because Dan is the one that loves Harry Potter, not Phil - though, lmfao @ Dan if he bought Phil a birthday gift that was basically more of a gift to himself.

But Dan would definitely know Phil's schedule, and people have already theorized that he might have had Bryony or someone invite them to the Sherlock party as a cover to make sure Phil didn't plan anything else and the day was free. And if it was a gift, then yeah he'd have had the tickets in advance, but he wouldn't have been saying that in a livestream or anywhere it would get back to Phil, that would have negated the surprise.

Maybe we're thinking about this all wrong and Phil got them as a surprise for Dan. The Sherlock party cover was so Dan wouldn't make any plans. Phil only mentioned it in his liveshow to not raise Dan's suspicions (and also so no stalker fans would know their plans for the evening).

100% thought Phil had tweeted a photo of Dan when I saw the thumbnail. What even is this....
