Personally I don't see the so called "elitism" a problem? Because IDB or GG are forums and tumblr are just social media. Forums have clear rules, whether written or non written rules, to respect those rules are the responsibility of all the forum member. But in tumblr technically there are no rules to apply to a specific fandom, so people sometimes behave inappropriately and have less sense of responsibility to others.
It's like IDB is a big community park, and tumblr just a bunch of people's back yard. In park most people knows not to litter, but in back yard even though you can still talk to your neighbors, you have more freedom to behave however you like.
I don't want IDB to be a very exclusive place but I think once you are in here it's important that you learn about the rules first.

She might just be a seat filler. Like if someone gets up to go to the bathroom they stick someone in that person's place, so that the camera won't pan through an audience and show an empty seat.

People can be so ungrateful. I spent about half an hour earlier today, wondering if I should even ask for the link because frankly, I have no right to do so. First, I haven't contributed to this (fuckin' awesome) forum at all, and second, I don't know anyone here. So it goes without saying that when I shamelessly went ahead and asked for the link anyway, I didn't actually expect to receive it. To my surprise though, the "selfish idiots" were nice enough to share it with me despite my post count and how shady that obviously must have seemed. (Thank you for that btw, you're a hero )
And I now feel bad for having ever asked. You guys don't owe me or anyone else anything really, if you're the one doing all the work. Better to ignore people you don't know than help out entitled brats who'd only proceed to throw a tantrum on how shit you are at helping them.

It's the people who literally delurk, have 0 posts and PM for information within 5 minutes of registering that are a bit infuriating
