Dan & Phil Part 10: Moist Sloppy Niagara Fun
Grinned like a kid in a candy store the entire time. had to watch on mobile. Lagged, but not too bad. The York thing was great, the camo pajamas shirt cute. I hate that I have to be on mobile all the frik'n time! I was just happy to see them Tbh.
actions speak louder than words
My God. YouNow needs to get themselves a Light version of that shitty website of theirs, there's way too much going on a page and you can't even disable it. I don't wanna see the chat or see who is the top fan jfc. And I wish explosive diarrhea onto people who send Premium messages just to say things like 'Hi~!'
Anyway (◡‿◡✿) That was a blessing.
A really nice liveshow, but I need to watch it again when it's uploaded to YouTube in order to fully appreciate it. I liked seeing their faces again and hearing their (very laggy) voices talk about everything that went down these past few weeks. And they seemed energetic, I half expected to see them looking like worn out dead bodies, but it was all fine.
Things I did catch despite the lag, in no particular order:
- Phil. Stop drinking those milkshakes, you're lactose intolerant. I know your doctor said you can have like a glass a day, but those gigantic cups in America are like 3 UK size glasses.
- Really enjoyed them nerding out about Pokémon and them talking about their discussion about who should get Sun or Moon, and their reasoning for it. ~DOMESTIC~
- I'm glad they asked people not to wait outside the venue anymore after the show is over and that they're worried about their fans safety. I was a bit worried about those teen girls waiting for them at insane o clock.
- The YAAAASSS cat is my favorite viral video of all time and my friends and I still send it too each other on a weekly basis. Their impression gave me life.
- Dan wears a Yeezy piece (freebie but still) as pyjamas. Dan is a bit of a rich bastard.
- I'm a bit mad about Undertale and I don't have high hopes for that DINOF video tbh, they really didn't film much stuff in advance. It's amateuristic, not something you'd expect from pro YouTubers. And kinda shitty to people not attending TATINOF. 'We're going on tour, so we're dropping everything else bye'
Also I legit saw someone in the chat ask them to do the Llama Song as if we aren't living in 2016 rn. Shoo, back to 2012 where you belong.

SAAAME!! Phil was all kinds of perfect in this one. He was so quirky and weird and Phil which was really nice to see. I liked that Dan didn't interrupt him and that they seemed very natural with all the conversations. Also I loved how Phil was the one to address the fart thing, the trash part of me feels like he wanted to clear the rumor and he was the one actively denying it and addressing it.SquishPhan wrote:This was a great live show, despite missing lots of things due to the enormous lag.
I don’t know why, but I just loved Phil in this one. He was giving opinions and seemed like he was enjoying the live show.
Dan was good too, he didn’t interrupt Phil and he wasn’t very loud. Plus he too was giving us opinions, which I love.
All in all a great one, despite the lag.
Some annoying things: They seemed to be pretty distant throughout the whole show (space wise) which is a huge contrast to Dan practically being in Phil's lap in his AP video

About the 8:20 mark, they are talking about Phil’s video with Dan and Louise. And Dan mentions that there was a part where he zoomed in really far on his face. Guess they (help) edit each other’s videos. Very cute.
Oh god of course they do a liveshow while I'm at work (does anybody else not always get their twitter notifs [if you have them on notifs]? I had to put updatedphan on notifs because like 85% of the time D&Ps don't come through grr).
Watching a bit on my lunchbreak now and like 8 mins in Dan said (about Phil's video): "there was a bit where I zoomed in really really far on my face." Phil has an interesting expression while Dan's talking about it (maybe) and then they just move on. HMMMM. Goddammit I hate working for a living I have to watch the rest after work. But yay that a liveshow finally happened; they both look great and they're being great so that's great.

Btw what was the explanation he gave? Or did he just deny it and carried on?
Aha! I didn't imagine that! Might just have been boredom on the bus, or staring at screens on the move is probably one of the worst things you can do if travel sickness is an issue...SquishPhan wrote:About the 8:20 mark, they are talking about Phil’s video with Dan and Louise. Wouldn't actually be surprised if it was Phil who tooted during the meetup, hence the vehement denial/Dan defence... LAY OFF THE DAIRY!

I remember mentioning how the video had Dan's editing styles but now we got confirmation!SquishPhan wrote:About the 8:20 mark, they are talking about Phil’s video with Dan and Louise. looked good though. I've really missed them. I can't wait to watch it again without the lag.

They denied it, and Phil said that he saw someone tweet about it, that it was before the playlist show, but they didn't do meet ups before those shows, so it couldn't even be true. Something like that.
I actually didn't get Phil's scorpion tweet earlier today, Twitter messes up lately. What sometimes helps is disabling notifications, and then enabling them again. Basically;fancybum wrote:Oh god of course they do a liveshow while I'm at work (does anybody else not always get their twitter notifs [if you have them on notifs]? They first said it wasn't true, it didn't happen than Phil added that there wasn't even a meetup in Playlist and Dan was quiet than burst out that "it's not the first time someone posted a rumor for attention"Rigby wrote:You mean he wanted to... clear the air?kuensukki wrote:SAAAME!! That part actually confused me. Does that mean they actually do have a bus to themselves if they only invited the bus driver? I don't even know.kuensukki wrote:Also killing my phan heart by saying they brought the bus drivers to the Niagara trip with them.... romance killed
Also, I'm glad you guys caught what Phil said to the "Enter me, Tom Yorke" bit cuz all I heard was "Wow. TMI." Wouldn't have wanted to miss the second half.
General opinion of the live show: It was nice and cozy. Dan didn't seem super into it, but I just think he was relaxed rather than disinterested.

I have so many thoughts on this liveshow and all of them are happy. I need to be able to watch it again to catch the parts I missed for lag but highlights were definitely Phil's general tone and sass, Dan teasing him about having opinions (it just seemed so cute and fond), the meme talk where they just disappeared into their own conversation, the laptop being swung around to show more of the room - makes it feel a bit more personal, just the right amount of letting us in (without actually letting us in at all. I also loved the story of Phil getting sick... yeah, sorry, I'm a hurt/comfort addict, I can just see it in my head. (Which probably means I'll end up writing it.) I love how happy they are on tour, how neither of them seem burnt out or worn down yet. I love that they aren't homesick (insert cheesy but true line about how they were each other's home) and they're embracing all the new experiences.
I even love the brief moments of tension or times when one of them had an expression that gave something away. It's just more real, you know? They weren't overacting anything and I don't know if it's because they were just in good moods or because it's been so long since they've done liveshows but I got a casual, pleased vibe from them.
And as crash[] said, I got more of a relaxed than disinterested vibe from Dan.

For bus thing: Phil screamed he got it, than Dan said something under his breath and they moved on really fast which was suspiciouscrash[] wrote:That part actually confused me. Tom Yorke thing: Phil said he would arrange for Dan to be alone in a field or somewhere quiet so he can listen to his songs and let Tom Yorke enter him
I think they said they invited their bus drivers (more than one) to the Niagra Falls trip!
alittledizzy agree They seemed really real and not forced with their emotions or reactions they just went with the flow which made it beautiful

Well, the tweets did say that the girl met them backstage because her dad worked as a security guy or something, she didn't mention it happening in a M&G context. #fartgate (cringe)kuensukki wrote:They first said it wasn't true, it didn't happen than Phil added that there wasn't even a meetup in Playlist and Dan was quiet than burst out that "it's not the first time someone posted a rumor for attention"Rigby wrote:You mean he wanted to... clear the air?kuensukki wrote:SAAAME!! UGGHHHH.
I have a tab open for this forum 24/7 and of course I step away for an hour to go get ready so I can film a video (take my lead, boys.) and when I come back I discover that there's a live show, it's happened, and I've missed the entire thing. UGGHHHHHHH.
I tried watching the YouNow recorded stream but it's so laggy I'm only getting every 4th word and can't really make out anything and I can't tell if it's the same lag you guys were all talking about, or if it's my slowly dying laptop.
UGGGHHHHHHHHHH.
where's the flipping-a-table emoji?

Just came here to say yes... this also happens to be all the goddamn time with these two & Twitter. I randomly checked Twitter from my laptop & found out there were about 20-25 minutes into the live show already.fancybum wrote:Oh god of course they do a liveshow while I'm at work (does anybody else not always get their twitter notifs [if you have them on notifs]? As a Radiohead fan, I am massively disappointed in you, Daniel. You have had hours on that goddamn bus. You could've & should've taken 52:31 of a day in a corner by yourself to listen to AMSP by now. It is fucking glorious. Glorious. It might even be better than In Rainbows... it is up there with The Bends. Listen to the damn album rather than making vaguely sexual remarks about pure innocent cinnamon roll Thom Yorke, kay?

Yaaaaas. I thought I was the only one sensing the tension on some parts. I felt like an intruder because as the tension was something they settle on their own. Do I make sense?alittledizzy wrote: I even love the brief moments of tension or times when one of them had an expression that gave something away. It's just more real, you know? The highlight of the LS for me (i missed a lot coz it's laggy) was when they were recreating different memes (?!). It was as if they forgot that they were in a ls. They were so in synced. It's amazing to watch.
I want to thank my company phone's unlimited data plan. I was able to watch the video
of course they do the live show in the one hour of the morning i have a meeting.
just stopping in to say i am here for fundamentally agreeing with this AMSP talk
a magnificent beast
now off to listen to the liveshow
(and yes that video of phil's screamed dan's editing)

But, real talk for a minute, can we start a phandom-wide movement to get these boys some good local regional American cooking for the remainder of the tour? Eating Mexican food any place in the US other than Texas or CA (and maybe AZ)? Y'all don't know about guacamole or salsa until you hit it up in those places. And Phil...Applebee's????? Somebody needs to show them what's what. Pancake cupcakes were actually a good start. Louisville, we're counting on you to keep it going!

I love Applebee's their restaurant choices are hilarious. Bob Evans is basically carb restaurant! Just catching up with the liveshow, it was so nice to see them finally do a joint liveshow even if the lag is so real. They seemed happy and chatty which was great. I definitely appreciated the show more seeing as we've waited so long for one.
I liked they talked a little about the Europe leg of the tour even if they made it sound like they haven't booked anything yet! They should deffo do one last date in the UK just because I said so
Phil spilling the milkshake was funny - and Dan giving him a death stare once he did it haha.
Phil talking about Judge Rinder = love. Haha British afternoon tv trash is so good sometimes.
It's nice to hear they're having a good time on tour. Dan telling people not to wait outside after the show, but if no one waits he won't be able to wave like the queen afterwards haha. I wonder if people will actually stop waiting (& screaming) now? I also liked how he addressed people taking paper signs to the show and to stop doing it from now. I like how they say it as it is.
I'm not really surprised that they didn't prefilm anything though, they have no video organising skills lbr.

I normally see eye-to-eye with Phil when it comes to food and sugary-treats, but I nearly unsubscribed from his channel when he mentioned liking Applebees.starlight-still wrote: And Phil...Applebee's?????
