Look I understand why y'all dont like danisnotonphils tone or lack of diplomacy. Yet I think they responded to something real- discussing finances definitely pinged in my ethical radar. Sure, they are a business, but that business is most (all?) of their income. The tone people have taken mocking danisnotonphil makes me uncomfortable, like I'm surrounded by high school bullies

I wonder when we will get our first Aus pics? I want to see them doing something out of the ordinary!

I agree with spaceguitar to some extent. We should try and keep things respectful, there is no reason to resort to passive aggression and that should go for anybody. Danisnotonphil raised a valid concern, it was discussed and it seems to me the consensus was reached that since the information was public it could be posted on here. There's no reason to say anymore on this topic as we are just dragging out a disagreement without resolving it. In other words:


Let's talk about houseplants.

I came in late. And finally just caught up. I do agree with almost all sides. (Very diplomatic ) but I do. Discussing financial information is touchy so I can see where people have a problem with it. Same as political views, sexuality etc. Some people don't mind that kind of information going around and others are on lock down. However the public information that can be found in one Google search, that I think would be alright. Since it keeps the discussion here. Otherwise that majority of us would have done it anyway. Yes those companies are their main income source but it also does not cover a whole hell of a lot of information too. How much they have saved, where they invest their earnings, or where their earnings go, Etc. So we are all very much in the dark on potentially a lot of their income.

I also agree with spaceguitar. By the end of reading this i was feeling a little bad for danisnotonphil. That is to say while they were a bit harsh and tact less in expressing their opinion, a lot of what was said seems like ganging up on. (I do admit that I did laugh on some comments, so even if I did not participate in the commenting I too have a.bit of snark.) All in all it was interesting, we just need a couple more on here like danisnotonphil so these discussions can be less one sided.
