I genuinely don't give a shit about people using Dan and Phil for views. I was disturbed when it was onision, but that's because literally anything onision does is disturbing, and also, I had to pay attention to it, since phandom was my main fandom.

With Marcus though, he isn't just using dan and phil's name for views, but he's making fun of us. I seriously don't appreciate when other youtubers mock the phandom. I hate when people deride their own fans, but mocking other people's fans seems even more shady. Like, the stereotype of the phandom is teenage girls, and I think it's undeniable that the reason we're mocked is because of the misogyny directed towards teenage girls, and the fact that their patronage can literally make or break someone's career is scary to white men in positions of power.

Another thing, I'm just not mad at him. I'm idealogically upset because of the reasons I've given above, but, like, I just feel so sorry for him. The man has no idea what a furry is, and he doesn't have the creativity to make a video that isn't just quotes from the internet (he didn't even give opinions). if that's not making you feel sad, then you have no heart

Laughed out loud at this but it's so true. I was pretty shocked in the video that he was so ignorant he didn't even know what a furry was.

And someone pointed out he probably read my lubegate post in the thread and I still thought the video was hilarious. Marcus' channels are just pure, poor quality trash and the desperation is clear, but this was still pretty funny.

I love your wording here. Since "patronage" comes from the Latin word for "father", it shows how deeply engrained in our culture the misogyny is.

i tried to watch marcus's video but didn't make it past his dramatic reading of the gas man dialogue. i'm kind of wondering what his intended audience for this video was. like, it seems to me that anyone who might potentially be interested in the topic has probably read that one article from which i'm guessing he pulled the theories, and as for everyone else (casual viewers, marcus viewers who don't care about deppy)...wouldn't it just be awkward? as for the criticism of the thing per se, i got nothing much to add. i liked what jhamba said.

i liked the phil and anthony collab a lot though! it wasn't ~the most exciting~ thing, but i liked the tone/vibe of the video and it was entertaining to watch. phil was so relaxed and funny. the bit where he cut the star out reminded me a bit of the dnpcrafts videos though, but that's not necessarily bad. also i feel like other youtubers should follow cat's and anthony's example and hop on the train of letting dnp interact with dogs on camera. that'd be a successful and good way to get those sweet phandom views.

Tried to go to the YouTube Store because I was debating on buying a Japan jumper... it's shut on Sundays but my mum took pity on me and ordered me one online. I'm trash, I'm terrible, it was 2 years ago, but god I love that design.

I don't think I've missed too much? I'm amazed I've gone away and not come back to a DAPG - we must be getting one tonight? I wish Dan had just done something on his own, like this is why I want them to have their own individual series, it would be great in case of laryngitis or existential crisis.

2 weeks without a DAPG video I'm really suffering and I hope I get put out of my misery tonight! I watched a little bit of Markiplier playing Dream Daddy and I would LOVE the guys to play it, it would be hilarious . If it's not Dream Daddy, then please let it be some golf!

Haven't seen the Marcus video...I find him to be extremely mediocre at best and I agree with jhamba that it isn't so much him using for views, although I do roll my eyes at that, but his attitude to the Phandom that is so offensive.

I'm not good at these timing/jumping based games, and even just watching other people play these makes me want to run away screaming. I can't even focus on the bants, I'm just gonna finish this watch and only ever interact with through timestamps

I like this coop format though! And of course Phil actually playing things is great.

Not done watching yet but seems like the extra day they were forced to wait with this (because of the collab) made them overedit it a bit So many photoshop bits/zooms/colour filters. Not that I mind, it just stands out more than usually.

I'm here to complain about the censoring of Phil swearing. Dan has been yelling fuck at least 10 times now COME ON PHIL give me some guilty pleasure

I loved it but it was sooooo stressful! I'd never be able to play that game in a million years, it would drive me insane. So nice to get an idea of what they're like when they're gaming together...I'm glad that the duplex seems to have much better sound insulation

That jump, I found myself watching the game and not them for the last couple of minutes! I would have throw the controller and just leave the room.

That video stressed me out so much! But also made me super nostalgic, I loved playing Crash when I was a child, I've been wanting to do it again.

Things I loved about the video:
-Phil getting extremely angry
-Phil scolding Dan calling him Daniel yes yes yes
-Phil casually swearing but bleeping it out (okay no I didn't love the bleeping part)
-Dan biting down the controller
-Dan "i believe in you"
-How unnecessary close they were sitting, cause believe me when I play a game like that my arms are flailing around and I'd hit my friends like 10 times. They do love their personal space uh

I loved the first time they played crash bandicoot, i believe it was back in 2011? on Dan's channel. And they were both really touchy-feely, but also kind of violent/mean to eachother? :'D

You can tell how much their relationship has changed since then - they obviously still sass eachother out mosyt of the time, but the video has such a... #married feeling to it? The passing (aka pulling) of the control was so adorable, and them explaining to us their habits when they play the game aaw

My favourite moments were Phil tapping Dan on the shoulder, and their mention about them stopping to talk to eachother after playing it lol. So domestic ^_^

And what about the "our mom" slip of the tongue by Dan (*cough* too used to sharing everything with Phil, huh Danny), and Phil's "ooooooooooh" as a reaction to it?! If that doesn't imply them having the same mother (so, being brothers) being sth outrageous then idk what it does!! (remember how horrified Dan would get when ppl would call them brothers? I got that same vibe from this particular interaction!)

Overall, amazing video, especially because it brings out memories *__*

i can't believe they finally confirmed that phan isn't real by admitting that they're brothers.

That video makes me sad I don't have a PS4 ...but then very happy because oh my god I would bite my controller in half. I do not disbelieve them that this game nearly caused them to break up stop talking

(also got a nostalgia hit that my PS2 controller has bite marks because I used to get so frustrated playing games that I'd bite it when I was a kid )
