I've said this again and again and I'm getting tired of it but miss me with the "if they were a straight couple" argument. I'm a queer person. Many non-shippers and even antis are also lgbtq people. This isn't homophobia or whatever for people like me and I just really hate the insinuation of it that we're constantly faced with in the phandom. I used to be anti because I just didn't see it and I didn't wanna assume anything they hadn't confirmed. I consider myself agnostic now based on recent events but I still don't wanna assume they're together when they haven't said they are. That's just how I deal with it, I don't judge anyone who thinks otherwise so I don't get why people keep judging me (and other non-shippers) this way. If they were a straight couple this would be exactly the same for me. I still wouldn't want to assume anything they hadn't confirmed. I love the idea of them together and I'd be genuinely happy if it turned out they actually are, I just don't ship it. It's fine if you do, I'm happy the idea of them together brings you joy too but can't we all just accept that not everybody sees it and it's not always homophobia or heteronormativity or something like that at play, sometimes that's just the way it is. Sorry for this outburst but I'm just so sick of this argument. I just wanna stan them in peace without people accusing me of homophobia or a heteronormative worldview for how I see their relationship at this moment in time.

I know how people like actual games but i love these types of videos. I say this after every gaming video they have posted this year but they just seem so relaxed and happy. This video was just so good. Dan proving that Capital Lester is an actual thing and then Phil telling about the concrete bird story that made dan cry

Also one of Phil's nightmare is constantly dropping a puppy

It was so funny and just what I needed.

Umm I’m gonna need a rewatch and some timestamps stat (not really feasible right now unfortunately) I feel like there were some interesting things implied there. I don’t buy Dan letting his significant other/best friend go, what was the choice there? Dan really wanted Phil to be Captain America. Also that was like three renditions of My Humps (my lovely Philly lumps). Sound... barri-EAR. Nice save Phil. Yeah puppy nightmare (I wasn’t sure whose dream it was, but prob Phil’s) plus worst case scenario anxiety tendencies makes me just want to wrap Phil up in a blanket and bringing him hot cocoa

Was Dan about to say he can't be Loki in a situation where Phil is Thor, because incest? But then he pulls it back and says "incestual shipping" instead? Am I imagining this?

(Also, lbr he wants to be Bucky Barnes to Phil's Captain American, because that's the real ship.)

Both of these are exactly what I came here to comment on, lmao. Phil's brain just does not stop, does it? Anxiety dreams and intrusive catastrophic thoughts constantly, no wonder he loves himself a nice relaxing bath bomb and scented candles.

And oh my god, the My Humps part was so cute?? Like, horrific, but also adorable how Dan was eager to prove he remembered all the words and kind of just... show off for Phil? And Phil was grinning and listening, I had a brief flash of how that must be the expression on his face any time Dan is just rambling about something he's having an obsessive cycle on, and Phil genuinely just gives him full attention no matter how ridiculous it is. I'm being soppy here, but like - how fucking rare and nice that is.

Also loved Dan immediately calling Phil out on the money question, no holds barred there. capita£ester lives, and apparently loves spending money on himself. (And his genius plan to just give Dan four billion pounds and have Dan bounce three of that right back at him. Takin' care of bae with those billions even in this weird game concept.)

I agree there was a lot of implications and small comments worth noting down and I'll probably rewatch this one a few times!

at Dan arguing that he and Phil can't be Thor and Loki because that would be incest

edit: oops rizzo I didn't see your post but yes that's definitely how I read it like he caught himself at the last minute and said it was because of the shipping but the implication remains the same...
And he asked Phil 3 times if he was sure he didn't want to be Captain America instead of Thor before admitting it's because he wanted to be Bucky

You called it, the DAPG vid came first.
It really does feel like they are just prioritizing the DAPG content more and more, and are neglecting their own channels a bit. I still remember the launch of the channel, and now it's by far the source of most of their content

And i loved this video. Sure, they were cute, but what i liked best in this video was their out loud thinking. Which didn't feel censored, as it sometimes does. And who can forget the singing :mrgreen:
They are such loveable nerds. They only (tiny) false note was when Dan said he was ready to die again. Not because I think it's a 'wrong' joke to make, but i've just been wondering for a while now how much the real Dan actually is a misanthrope. Does he seriously think humanity is a mistake? I suspect it's just him trying to be edgy, but i'm not quite sure. Like everything those two do it's pretty ambiguous. I.. do worry about that darkness within him

But hey great video. This serves as further proof to me that they should do more of these internet flash games that force them to really talk more, instead of games where the natural flow of the game becomes the focus. I've never considered theirs much of a real "gaming" channel just more of a "good Dan and Phil bants while doing whatever" channel.

Definitely had a few good laughs and I just love chatty videos like these! I especially liked the unlimited wealth part (Capita£ester rise!), the roof bit (I'm living for this unedited shit) and the singing

I also though it was quite interesting that Dan mentioned incest/romance when they started talking about Phil as Thor and Dan as Loki...

I also think we're due a DINOF video and I'm thinking he might upload one next week about cyberbullying since he mentioned that Prince William asked if he'd discuss the StopSpeakSupport campaign on his channel. Or it could be about something entirely different, we'll see!

That was quite something. Surprised no one has yet mentioned them hitting each other at 10:40, I had to go back and watch that again, partly cos I didn’t catch why Dan said “you asked”, but mostly because cute boys are too damn cute. Also Dan calling Phil a cow, I’ve forgotten what he said that had hit a nerve, but it’s interesting what they’ll take and what they’re sensitive about. I don’t know if they got the meaning of the very first one right, I don’t think it was that deep or good a result, but I can’t really figure it out either.

I think people have covered everything else already, there was so much to like. I love Phil continuing the sound barrier thing and singing. He’s right that people wanted it, I always want some singing by Phil

I always find it funny when they sing what seem such old songs, interesting to hear the different versions even with euphemistic cereal lyrics

Loki and Thor vs Steve and Bucky, wow, guys. Either one, I love Loki apart from the arrogant supremacist murderer part, and Stucky is adorable. The blue wire on the ceiling bit reminded me of the Sims 2 when the weather expansion was out and if you’d missed a bit of roof and it rained they’d get a thought “why is there weather in my house?” Also cute that Dan considers his Game of Thrones trousers pyjamas, so cosy.

Yeah, I mean it’s not really incest in any version of Thor and Loki that I’m familiar with, but Dan gets uncomfortable with any kind of brotherly comparison made to him and Phil. Funny that.

I’m surprised that Dan chose immortality with continued aging, trusting that science and technology would catch up. Sounds more like Phil. Looking forward to their cybernetic future together.

And it’s clear that Phil just enjoys buying stuff. Not expensive stuff. Just spontaneous cool stuff.

Oh! And I’m glad Dan is now referring to Phil as tasting too sweet and not like spoiled milk insert inappropriate joke about eating more tropical fruits here.

Just the light humor I needed for a pretty shit day. My boys never fail to make me smile. Highlights: Dan cried over the lonely bird story, they found a mysterious blue wire on the ceiling, Phil has intrusive spiraling thoughts (same), and Dan truly ships Stucky. Also Dan singing a v sexual song to Phil without breaking eye contact? Is this some weird dare? Like who would break first? Flirt much?

Also, Dan brought up his GOT pj bottoms, which got me thinking- does it look like they filmed the past 3 videos as a batch?
