After all our discussion of what Phil meant by gettiy a life, I hope Dan isn’t taking over Phil’s hobby too much lol! I was picturing Phil doing things without Dan (which he probably will), but glad to know they will always do lots together too! Remember when they moved in 2017 and Phil asked Dan if they could get a fish in a liveshow and Dan said “It’s up to you mate”? Well, glad Phil made that decision and Dan is fully on board now! JK, I’m sure they discussed loads off camera about what fish to get (I almost typed phish!). What do you think they’ll name it? Probably something starting with B. Boris?

Having owned 4 betas in my life - excellent decision that maybe isn't worth that much effort into a tank but like fuck yeah SIGN ME UP.

The dynamic here is really fucking me up also because as much as I'd like to be a logical, excited fan who's not applying fantasies to fish adoption, there's something so telling about their future in this situation where Phil gets a fish and Dan goes all out for that fish - styling it to the 9s.

I was in Cape Code for vacation this weekend and spent a day in Provincetown; it was gearing up for its big annual carnival this week and there were so many gay couples everywhere, holding hands and generally looking fabulous. The men were literally arriving by boatloads on the ferries with their luggage. I kept imagining Dan and Phil at something like that. Like, they deserve to be so free.

I don't know much about fish but apparently you can do a lot wrong, especially when it comes to Bettas.

Sounds like Dan is doing enough research he'll be okay.

I didn't think that Dan and Phil adopting a fish would be the reason I would be be feeling genuine happiness for the first time this week, but here we are. Love that Phil got fish cause he needed a hobby... and then Dan made it his hobby.

Ummm why is the painting on the floor on the most recent story? (Was dan using it for aesthetic inspiration? Did they need to move it for the tank? ARE THEY MOVING?)

As the honorary resident of Moving Hill (yes i'm tooting my own horn, let me live please!) this doesn't change anything for me. That's a small tank and can be easily moved, all it needs is a plug. It's nowhere near a big acquarium and even those can be moved pretty easily if you hire someone to help.

So I'm still on team moving, obviously. But mostly...god they're so cute and happy

Oh my gosh yes! The online fish community is pretty intense. If they make a YT video about the fish they’ll definitely get Dan’s favorite UM ACTUALLY comments. But the fact that he’s learning the nitrogen cycle means he’s seen a bit of that already, so dnp probably wouldn’t get quite as much criticism or be quite as surprised by the criticism as Jenna was.
