Can somebody explain what you actually want or expect from "busgate" please? Especially after the handling of the beds in the Aus DITL. Yes, we know there's one actual bed. But do you think they'll actually let it look like they both slept in it? They've watched the footage over and over throughout the edit, they were aware it was all being filmed since the beginning, they tweeted like dumbasses about it at the start. They're going to overstate it the same way in the doc and make it look however they want it to look. So what's the expectation here.
Thanks and have a great day! Oil me

Is anyone else worried about Dan's "it's like a last look back before throwing everything in the fire" twitter reply?
It sounds ominous. Hopefully it's just Dan being a drama llama queen and it doesn't actually mean anything but reading that kinda destroyed my good feelings from watching the trailers.
I'm so hyped for the documentary.

ngl, it was my favourite of the bunch.
Comparing this to the bit of the video were Dan pokes Phil's nose - does it show that they were in the bed together? (Fully clothed in a completely platonic way ;) )

Image
I've probably done this bit wrong - sorry if it doesn't display correctly
That's what it looks like, doesn't it? Unless he's standing beside it.
He couldn't have been standing beside the bed because as we can see in the photo of the bedroom the spaces besides the bed where Dan should have been to be able to poke Phil in the nose effortlessly, are occupied with those shelves/nightstand tables kinda things and besides that the angle that that gif is made at makes me think of someone sitting next to Phil (aka Dan) not beside the bed. If it was beside the bed I think the angle would have been more higher and we would see more of Phil's crown of the head than his full face.

Tbh this makes me extremely happy but at the same time, Dan please tell me more about how you guys fought over who takes the bed and how you slept in a bunk bed... No, but seriously I hope they drop the act that they didn't share the bed because it's getting old at this point imo :|

No expectation. To quote manged:
I'm mostly just the rotting banana peel at the bottom of the phan trash can who genuinely gets excited over the thought of them snuggling in bed. Idgaf let a bitch live.

I actually think it could be a good thing? It's definitely not as dramatic as he makes it out to be, but he's talked about rebranding (in a bit of a different context) but maybe there really will be a new direction for their channels? New projects, who knows.. Maybe a different BBC project even.
I don't know, to me it sounds like this COULD be the end of an era, but not the end of everything (obviously).
I'm excited either way!

Dan was just being a bit over dramatic as he replied to someone after that tweet with this. Also very excited to see all this next week!! :D

I swear every little clip I've seen from TATINOF whether it was offical or a spoiler, I just cringe so badly at it. I even had to pause that trailer for a few minutes and do something else. I just can't :')

I'm interested in the documentary though because domestic cuteness and shit, might scrape together some money for that. though i really shouldn't spend money on this..

So here for Busgate 2.0

I hope it just means they wont feel obligated to spew out quips about llamas and shrek and kanye. Maybe things like isg can die quietly on the side of the road (I like the idea, but its gone on a bit long). More about moving forward with new things than holding onto dear life to old ones. I don't believe there will be any dramatic end of the world channel deactivations.
I wouldn't discount changing what their bedrooms look like, or even moving together or separately. these things happen, its part of life. Change is good.

For me the interest is in seeing how they present themselves and what they're comfortable with their audience knowing or not knowing. Earlier this year they were clearly uncomfortable with an audience knowing that they shared a bed on tour - but their comfort level with a lot of things has changed in a relatively short amount of time. This documentary trailer shows them in the same bed. I'm curious to see if their explanation changes, and how, or if they leave the moment to stand by itself with no explanations or try to over-explain. It's like anything else about them; it doesn't impact my life greatly one way or the other, it's just... interesting.

For me it's committing to the "we challenge societal standards". They have danced on the edge of homo/no homo without taking any real stand for so long that it doesn't do any actual good to change things. Whether its "yes, two men can love each other" or "yes. two platonic bros can sleep in the same bed for 2 months on a bus without it being "GAY" " it challenges societal norms. I just wish they would take a real stand instead of leaving whichever so vague. Its important to let guys know that they can share feelings, clothes, breakfast, w/e without being worried that everyone will peg them as being queer. Girls don't get labeled as lesbian sex monsters when they lay in bed together watching anime, why should DnP.

I bet they have two twin beds shoved next to each other instead of one large bed. First of all, it's an easy accommodation for the rental company to make, secondly, it allows for plausible deniability. Not to mention, that for comfort and convenience one person can sleep/nap without disturbing the other.

I think a move could definitely happen but I don't think it would happen any sooner than January 2017. I say this mostly because we all know that moving is stressful and requires quite some time. Let's not forget that there are some more things coming besides the docu and TATINOF movie. There is the book and some other ~mysterious~ things they did (like the voice acting that we never found out what was about), also the spooky week and undertale week. I see this as quite a busy schedule for them and I honestly don't know when they could find the time to search for a new place/s (if they decide to move separately) and also make videos for youtube. Besides that I can't see them moving in near Christmas since they would probably want to enjoy the holiday.

lol, yea definitely, I didn't mean tomorrow. could you imagine packing all those nicknacks???

I am a nerd who likes to check viewcounts and the doc has stayed a solid 10-15k behind the show trailer this entire time, which is really impressive. I'm glad they linked the two together on the endcard screen.

Dan tweeted that there was one bedroom with a TV that they supposedly had to fight over, which implies that there was one bed rather than two twins. Not saying it is impossible but if the documentary shows two twin beds then that would be weird considering the tweet.

I'll always be partial to a bit of sleeping arrangement drama. I'll take in any day over ~dan has a gf!!~ rumours

This gif makes me happy for strange reasons. I did a lot of theater back in the day, so I know quite a bit about how it works. Somewhere on youtube (I think in the comments section for the american tour possibly) Is an argument between me and someone else about how many eclipse shirts Dan had for the show. The other person insisted there was only one shirt, and I calmly told them that was silly, it made no sense to wear the same shirt day after sweaty day. Its nice to be proven right.

Absolutely loved the two trailers, watched the show and then the commentary, needed a bit of a break between them to catch my breath! The whole vibe was good...although, and this may just be me, does anyone else think it has that 'Joe and Caspar Hit the Road' kind of feel to it? The doc trailer didn't feel very deppy, but I don't really know why I was expecting.

I'm not expecting anything much 'better' than how they went about it in Aus, though. Which is more recent than the bus tweets. As far as the tour is concerned (and the promo involved, incl DAPGO), I feel like they've been pretty consistent in how they want to portray themselves. Bright side is this era will soon be thrown in a fiery abyss and I'll be eagerly awaiting 2017 for some.. changes.

The issue isn't about 'no-homo' and it hasn't been for years, it's about phan. Big difference. Dan doesn't gaf anymore if people perceive him as not straight. It's the other thing that complicates how they navigate each other in public/performance mode.

Anyway I'm probably going to watch the documentary first (MULTIPLE times) before attempting tatinof. I feel like I'll need booze to get through the tour video (and I don't even drink..) as the trailer hardcore activated my cringe reaction. Seeing it live is one thing to appreciate the awkward beauty, but video, ooh idk. It already hurts. They'll be getting my $$ though so :thumb:

Ugh, those trailers!!! The deppy sign, Phil's dancing booty, the bed, Dan's emotional rhetoric. I cannot wait!

I am so fucking stoked for the behind the scenes action. I hope it doesn't come across as scripted-- I got a Paris/Nicole flashback at the tour bus reveal scene.

I am so emotional right now. I wish I could get a guarantee that a portion of the proceeds will go toward the koi pond and shibe dream. Take my money, boys. You're adorable

I think it'll be both. Judging by the trailer, they filmed some cute domestic scenes and some more or less obviously staged ones.

Hi, really long time lurker. You guys are a huge part of why I'm still here.
Absolutely loved the trailers, especially the doc, give me all the domestic action. Just made me even more excited for it but....

So, Dan kept mentioning that anyone will be able to buy the movie as a stand alone, but unfortunately movies on google play is not available in my country yet (and I don't really feel like waiting another 5 yrs until it is). I tried hola but it didn't solve anything. Does anyone have any way to get around this or is in the same boat as me? I know I could probably find a download somewhere (tho I feel like they'll be on top of that), but I really wanted to watch it the night it comes out :/

All I want is to be complete trash come Wednesday night.

So much love right now, so proud, such editing packing both trailers with a little bit of everything so snappily. Their pinof origin story, rehearsing magic and dancing, fricking wiping the cat whiskers off each other (how can they see each other any better when they have to close their eyes to not take a wet wipe to the eyeball?) So many little things filling the seconds like Phil's fist and Dan bouncing as they're about to go onstage. Phew.

Damn does Phil look beautiful in all of it, but especially in that shirt and those jeans, and the black jacket and jeans, spinning, dancing and impersonating Dan with such a cheeky face

Dan saying "meeting the people who've given us all of it was so important" and just wearing his pretty sparkly hat

A week to go, my heart is ready.

Welcome to IDB! Check this list to see if/how your country will be able to pay for it:

I wondered about this - I assume this is something they do on stage for the hashtaglols - can someone who's seen it live confirm/deny?

Why the hell did I get married on the 5th of fucking October! :wahh:

Seriously! I can't freaking wait to watch these (mostly the doc) and of course I'm going to have too! (Would it be too if I divorced my husband on the 4th and remarried him on the 6th? ) UGH! I was so excited to watch these I sped home after work (speed limits are suggestions right?) and watched them on the big TV in the living room. I actually teared up a little and half screamed...and I didn't even make a peep at the show itself. My cat is concerned....
