I thought he sounded like he was screaming (reminded me of the imagine dragon intro ) when people started pointing it out and he checked the microphone.

No radio for D&P, I give up. Dreams dead. They better do something really fucking great in 2017 to make up for killing this. Did they actually willingly take hiatus for the tour, or were they just let go. Why would BBC call them 'still part of the R1 family' if they were fired. I honestly hate everything right now.

But do we have any reason to think they were fired? The timing of it - right before they needed to leave to go on tour is suggestive to me that it was a choice to leave.

Maybe the BBC just didn't want them back after that and they weighed the pros and cons and decided they'd earn more from the tour so it was worth sacrificing the radio show?

Or maybe have some other project or want to focus on their neglected youtube channels for while? (We have been seeing more consistent uploading).

Maybe they are tired of having to split their focus between many different projects so much?

Anyway I'm sad to see the radio show go, but excited for what else they might produce instead.

I'm very intrigued about that calendar. We've gotten loads of anime (minly sports ones) mentions so maybe Deppy meets anime? Well Phil liked a tweet of a fan's mom explaining she gets them mixed up because she thinks they better suit the other's name. Maybe they agree they should just trade.

No there's no reason to think they were fired, I was just genuinely expecting them to come back to the radio by October. I'm just so sad, I loved the radio shows, more so the Sunday ones and I was hoping they'd get back to that kind of format (and weekly not monthly). Sigh. From the chain of events prior to TATINOF, it seems highly unlikely they were fired. I'm sure they'll do more stuff with the BBC when the tour is fully over, next year perhaps.

The article only talks about two new changes to the R1 program: 1. (who's covering for who during maternity leave) and 2. three new segments on three already existing shows.

So, deps could still have something in the works, and bbcr1 just aren't telling us yet.

On the BBC subject, they weren't sacked as they wouldn't be presenting the R1 teen awards next month if they had been fired.
Given the uncertainty of the tour dates, with Europe still not being confirmed, plus the book and other commitments they no doubt have and we don't know about, they probably just decided not to commit to a regular show. It is a shame thoigh as the radio show was one of my favourite Deppy projects.

Re BBC: I had been thinking that if they were to start doing a new show again it was going to be in January due to the associated promotion expected for the YTRed Originals. Its not like there isn't precedence for a radio show starting in January.

i doubt it will be covered by any drama YouTuber, as he's literally reiterating everything he ranted about last week on twitter. It's nothing new, he just wants more sympathy while sound hypocritical himself. Literally every YouTuber takes money from their fans with that mind set, including onion. And that doesn't make them inherently money grabbers! It cost money to produce things for your audience, theres nothing wrong with that. Bravo onion, bravo, making yourself look even more like an idiot. Also Im sure if onion actually qualified for a younow partnership, he'd take it in a heartbeat. One other thing, he clearly isn't aware that if premium questions aren't answered by the end of the live show, they are given their bars back. And Dan isn't forcing anyone to do this, the fans just want to be noticed by him. The fans chose to spend their money on that, They know there's a chance they may not noticed, but they take the risk because why not? But ofcouse onion doesn't know anything about this.

If anything, that would be covered from that video, it'll be the leafy part for sure since everyone knows leafy clearly does not like onion. I wouldn't worry too much about people covering his petty drama with Dan. And plus, if they have merch or anything out themselves and for some reason agreed with what onion is saying about Dan, they would be a hypocrite.

Sidenote, onion totally waited almost a week to do make this video because he's trying to get attention out of it in Dan's live show tomorrow.

I'm seriously shocked that onision is sticking to the story that he's a "fan" of Dan. He was clearly harassing him for his own amusement, and now he's seriously trying to claim that all along he was just a fan? That's such BS and if I were him I would be embarrassed to be backtracking that much and so clearly lying. At first I didn't even think he was trying to be serious with the initial tweet quoting a tumblr post of Dan's ls transcript but apparently he is really riding out the "i am a huge fan and he's just hating on me because I have subscribers" thing. It's such a blatant lie and twisting of what happened that I can't believe he's seriously going with it. In my opinion, he's making himself look like a liar and a total fool. Also onision is just as guilty of selling things to fans?? This is his t-shirt store. Omg why did I read the comments why did I do it? So many people saying Dan was rude or out of line. Ok, even if this was some fantastical alternate universe where Greg actually was a legitimate fan, what would have changed? Greg has insulted phil, Louise, Zoe, probably others that Dan is friendly with. He requested people photoshop Dan in sexual situations without his consent for a giveaway, creepily used his name in a pseudo-coming out video as an object of Gregs bi-curious fixation. Greg has called Dan a bottom in different videos (in reference to D&P and also with Greg: "of course he'd be the bottom"). Does any of this sound like something Dan would appreciate from a YT peer?

There's fangirling, and then there's strategic harassment. A 30+ year old man in the same professional realm doing this shit isn't cute or something to be respected. Greg is disgusting and people who think Dan did anything wrong in SO POLITELY saying he's not into it have problems with perspective. Even if Dan was incorrect with his reasoning (and he wasn't) his conclusion is still right. Greg isn't worth his time. Stamping his feet saying Dan doesn't know how much he really liked him deserves no sympathy. What is wrong with people? Re: R1, I loved it but I felt towards the end they were getting bored, to be honest. Agreed that the timing seems as though they left on their own accord, and a tentative plan to come back seemed likely which is why "part of the R1 family" made sense (and why Phil kept "that guy from Radio 1" in his Twitter bio).

BTW I thought the comment about the 'bored resting face' from the LS was interesting. Made me think about all the times people said he looks bored during Undertale. maybe its just his reading/listening face ( when hes not looking at Dan that is, then its a smile.)
