Hmm, I don't believe his parents split, tbh. He hardly mentions his dad but that doesn't necessarily mean that's because he and Dan's mom aren't married anymore. yeah i don't really know why lots of people think his parents split. I mean, it's totally plausible, don't get me wrong. But i don't think it means anything that Dan mostly talks about his mom. I mostly talk about my dad and my stepmom, especially my stepmom, I talk about them both all the time, rarely about my mom and it doesn't have an underlying meaning.
