Damn, he looks cute, cuddly, stubbly and reminds me of Wil Wheaton who I’m also a big fan of. The adorably bewildered (kind of) expression helps. Good nail painting, has he been practising? Neater than he led us to expect, anyway. Maybe the calendar app icon has a default number when it’s not running

i will say that, regardless of the date being wrong, it's nice to see his face 2 days in a row. and his nails look polished (both literally and figuratively) - i wonder if he went to a salon/talented friend or if he/phil improved with practice.

it's kind of interesting how we've gotten 2 unpolished pictures from him. it's unusual. he used to be the guy whose hair had to be pin straight and flawless and face had to be clean shaven and outfit had to be on point for a selfie. he's going for that really soft, straight-outta-bed look these days and i'm really appreciating it both because he looks adorable and fresh, but also because it sets a nice example of what reality is like.

Phil actually posted an Insta story from the lounge on March 16th as well.

Sometimes I’m amazed at the consistency with which he still seems to come online and post something like this when Phil’s away. Like what was it last time, the flowers? Lol at the date thing though, but it’s a cute photo regardless of when it was taken. Also I hope he has practised painting his nails himself bc whenever he would say in a liveshow that he doesn’t have anyone to paint them I’d just think learn to do it yourself, that’s how the rest of us did it, bitch

I am also strongly on this train. My tin hat is super glued to my skull at this point.

I know I am guilty for late upload of pics or anecdotes so I'm not bothered by the date
I really loved the two pictures. The vulnerablity of the first photo worried me a bit. It looks like he was tired and not well in the photo but I also think he is trying to embrace his vulnerable side and show it more with that photo. Also, I looked through my selfies and honestly, angles, lighting, my own health all effect how I look in photos so I'm not trying to read too much into the first photo.
This one shared with us on twitter is just wholesome and lovely. Im glad seeing both as it's two photos of how he has been lately. I'm very glad he seems to be getting better

Idk about the date thing but I could see him posting a delayed photo just because he likes it. I am not convinced about them moving into a forever home but seeing Phil in the reflection of dans photo and also having it look like Phil even took the photo instantly makes me feel warm

Also don’t care when he took the photo, it made me smile and if anything I think it’s cute if he’s had it on his phone for a little while and felt happy enough to post it. Hope he paints his nails more this year because they look beautiful wanna know who painted them! The only problem I have with the photo being a couple weeks old is him maybe not having his nails painted now, I’m hoping for more. Please dan

No offence to any nail salons out there, but Dan's nails aren't quite nail salon level to me - they're still pretty uneven BUT they do look waaaay better than they used to, so I want to imagine that this is Dan's own progress. Or maybe Phil's, but with his fine motor skills that somehow seems less likely. (But it is a far cuter image to imagine Phil trying to paint Dan's nails, and the hilarity that would ensue.)

All my love for Dan aside, I wouldn't be myself if my thoughts didn't immediately go to them moving anddd... sadly, the latest pictures we've received have kind of made me doubt a little bit. They're either delaying their photos by a lot (so today's Date conspiracy brought back my faith), or they're probably not moving yet.
And if they're not moving now, will they move this year at all? Their lease runs out this month, right? Or maybe by the end of April, idk? They've been showing us very tight angles of just one room + balcony, so they might as well be packing up the rest of it, but I guess in my mind I expected them to be moved by now.
So yeah, my theories now are either 1) delayed pics, 2) not that delayed but the rest of the flat is in shambles because Moving!!, 3) they're not moving yet.

I'm choosing to believe that it's a combination of 1&2, but if we continue seeing the flat throughout April and May, I guess moving will be cancelled for this year. (please no )

Anyway, this was my long and boring monologue, and it is now over. Much love for Dan and his pretty smile.

Yeah... I’m going with this. Like I don’t mind if it was drafted, but that implies Phil was either away last Saturday or that he was strategically planning it for today, which I really don’t get the point of. It would also mean he was anticipating someone asking for visual proof. It seems too unnecessarily elaborate.

We know Phil is with his family and Dan will probably visit his tomorrow just for the day. Though no one has suggested it, I doubt he’s with the Lesters, why hide that when you’re just going to post a lonely emo tweet anyway? I do really appreciate the tweet and photo today though, it makes me feel more calm about yesterday’s post.

As far as moving, I’m wondering if they are waiting on a new build, which could take months to a year from now.

That picture gave me all the warm feelings the first one didn’t.

Don’t care if it’s two weeks off from the time (although that’s amusing).

I’m just glad to see him resurfacing.

Re: the nails: I paint my nails quite a bit, and black is a pain to do without flooding the cuticles or looking even. My personal guess is a friend (not Phil) did it (didn’t they have a game night not far from March 16th where they played Pandemic?).

They did play Pandemic the night before! I'm thinking maybe Bryony did his nails? Bc yeah, as someone who almost exclusively wears black nail polish when I can be bothered, its difficult to deal with. And Bryony is definitely very into nail polish and art.

Tbh yet again I’m not really here for feeling lied to, even if most everyone else finds it understable/funny/still cute. I can understand it all I like, assuming I’m even understanding correctly because not a mind reader, but if I feel a bit taken the piss out of I get to work through my thoughts and feelings, which I don’t have all the spare energy and time for cos who does, and still be here anyway cos not knowing them really means I have no clue the reason, if it definitely is an old photo, if he was even in London last night, etc. Boy, do these boys have a privileged place in my heart

I do wonder if he posted that pic because he saw people having a freak out over his selfie the other day and he wanted to make everyone calm down. Not saying that it might have been the only reason, but it wouldn't surprise me if it had to do a bit with that.

the calendar icon on macbooks updates automatically. like having the time in the corner, it doesnt matter if it's an open app or not, the number changes according to what date it is. there's no way you can change it. so it's definitely a delayed photo. can we even be sure it's from march?
