Has anyone heard if Phil is doing a liveshow today? I hope so, I'm rarely in for them live anymore
Phil was saying in his liveshow that he wasn't feeling well and didn't want to infect anyone, and the usual peeps who come over for oscars night are unable to because of being sick (and something else I've forgotten already), so I can't imagine it would be tonight based on that alone. And while they're not great about being subtle, if they want to keep up appearances they do at least try not to contradict each other that drastically lol.Amiaw wrote: Sun Feb 09, 2020 10:37 pm Dan’s tweet just seems like a random relatable tweet to me and doesn’t seem to be about tonight but maybe I’m wrong? The wording just doesn’t work for it to be in present tense
I could have happily gone my whole life without acknowledging that tweet exists.alittledizzy wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2020 1:02 am
Also, Dan liked this tweet from Tyler and...... I guess we can at least confirm that Phil is polite and goes to get Dan something to clean up with before he passes out?
I’m team second apartment. They kept their old furniture there (their sets before the change) and when dan did the tour of the gaming room the closet was full of all of their filming stuff so it would make sense. Also, every time we see reflections like in Viewers pick my clothes or some of the baking it looked like their were things scattered around.alittledizzy wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2020 4:33 pm Okay pulling this from my own timestamps - Phil said the letters are stored 'in the office' - we've never seen an office. So what do you guys think? Is the office something they converted a previous space into? Or is it the second bedroom in their flat they live in? (We've seen the door, but nothing inside.) Also is it where Phil does his liveshows?
Phil used to call their gaming room the office in their old flat, so maybe that?alittledizzy wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2020 4:33 pm Okay pulling this from my own timestamps - Phil said the letters are stored 'in the office' - we've never seen an office. When he did that talk about trying to run the first time around at vidcon, he noted that he didn't train enough/was unprepared and part of that factored into him pulling out. I think this time, and with the press he's already getting, he's probably more prepared and I would imagine he's probably working with a private group or personal trainer (or maybe even both). I'd be interested to see if we get a video out of this. I wonder if this is one of those blocks he feels the need to work through before anything else.Megancita75 wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2020 4:57 pm On a different topic, I've been thinking about Dan's marathon quest. I know a few people who have trained for and run (or walked) marathons, and I'm very curious about what sort of training regimen he might be following. The approach I'm most familiar with for amateur (or completely new) runners is joining a running club or team that is specifically training for a marathon, usually in conjunction with running for a charity or cause. Those programs usually start meeting at the butt crack of dawn on a Saturday morning to run together on city streets once a week at least 4 to 6 months before the marathon, with the assumption that you will also run a few times on your own during the week, building up slowly in mileage until you are at least able to run 20+ miles a few times. I am trying to imagine Dan doing this. I suppose he could also have hired a private trainer, but running outdoors is pretty critical for marathon training, and a lot can go wrong in terms of injury or illness to interrupt training. It's also a good idea to run some 5Ks and half-marathons as part of your training. Anyway, there are lots of different approaches, but I just am very curious about his training regimen and hope he actually has one! I trained for and ran (very slowly) a half-marathon with a group years ago and it was a lot of fun to do it as part of a group; there's no way I would have stuck with it on my own. So for his sake, I hope he's training with someone or a group.
The ironic(?) thing is that if he wanted advice on training he just need to turn to his brother—although Adrian is young, he’s a rather adept endurance athlete (like ultra marathons and vertical challenges on varied terrain on foot and bike etc.). But who in the world knows what their relationship is these days. I imagine he has other irl friends to give him advice, but he could always hit up Connor Franta too for insight.Megancita75 wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2020 4:57 pm When he said office, I thought he might be talking about the IRL offices. I have no idea how much space they have there, but maybe that's also a possibility?

They have the big filing cabinet thing from the gaming room/office of their first London apartment in the glass closet (former dinof/current AP filming space) it can be seen in ‘Trying to Live My Truth’ when Dan tells himself “this ain’t Interstellar bitch!”. But yeah that whole second flat is technically an office.knq wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2020 5:57 pmPhil used to call their gaming room the office in their old flat, so maybe that?alittledizzy wrote: Mon Feb 10, 2020 4:33 pm Okay pulling this from my own timestamps - Phil said the letters are stored 'in the office' - we've never seen an office. See 14:25 for a discussion of what constitutes an office:God they’re cute
By Phil’s definition pretty much any room in the gaming flat could be an office. In a way the gaming flat itself is his office.
I was surprised to hear Phil has kept all those fan letters and actually worries about losing them. That’s just incredibly sweet and genuine.
