I'm not even from the UK but I was curious enough to go to the site, only to see that it's already sold out. Wow. I still get shocked at how popular they really are and how dedicated the Phandom actually is.

Anyway, just a random thought that's not really important. But I do wonder if there's anyone that actually likes Dan and Phil enough to probably go meet them in things like this, but not enough to engage with the Phandom. They don't have to be actively talking to Phandom members. I mean engagement in the most minimal sense of at least lurking in forums like this or following Phandom accounts on Twitter/Tumblr/IG. I'm just really wondering because D&P's stuff gets sold out fast, and the Phandom actually knows about their endeavors first before any official announcement. It must be hard getting info or going to meet-ups if you don't at least engage with the Phandom. :

I think the point I was trying to raise up is that, in a way, I think there can be 3 classifications of D&P fans: (1) casuals who don't care about anything outside the vids they upload in Youtube, (2) fans who admit that they're way in too deep to actually seek out information outside of the videos to actually engage the Phandom, and go to tours, buy merch, etc., and (3) fans of the second variety but who don't go to the tours, buy merch (basically fans that are interested enough to follow D&P's lives out of YT but not interested enough to spend money for it). I'm really having a hard time imagining someone that's like the fan above (interested enough to meet them but won't engage with the Phandom at all). :geek:

How would that work if YouTube red isn't even available in the U.K. yet? (Which still surprises me because they're one of the biggest places for YouTube! I thought for sure they'd release it with tatinof/tatinof documentary but nothing still!). They could put it on yt with ads sure, but YouTube red would make the network more money then just traditional ads... unless ofcourse YouTube is planning on launching YouTube red in the next few months (maybe announcing it at this event..) in the U.K. and maybe this could be one of the new red originals... but yeah like dizzy said, we must lower our expectations, as cool as this is, it's all what if's at the moment.

Edit: while writing this I had a look up on why YouTube red wasn't in the U.K. Yet and apparently it's due to music licensing with certain labels.

it kind of is, but i am also kind of terribly excited because i LOVE sue perkins. i hope there will be some footage that i can watch. (also, the topics do sound interesting. it can go either way, depending on how seriously they take it, but i would love to hear some real discussion.)

Oh my god. Prayer circle, this would be all my dreams come true. My only concern would be that they would make all the kids look so tiny haha.

(also, I did speculate a while back that dan and Phil might be trying to separate themselves from Phan/firmly reinstate the bffs and roommates narrative because they had a more public appearance coming up. This would fit in with that theory. *tinfoil*)

Here are some shower thoughts I had earlier (but didn't have time to post):

I really hope they have a baking segment during the interview. How fun would that be? Maybe they'll announce their new channel "Dan and Phil Bake" (which is made possible by their new kitchen in their new house). Or if we're going with the one year lease- maybe next year's April Fools stunt will be the creation of a joint *lifestyle channel* with baking, interior design, beauty tips and candle hauls! The real joke being that they actually continue to post to it regularly.

iihappydaysii pointed out in her Tumblr tags that the description says "Join them for a free-flowing and funny chat about fame, resisting definition, comedy and cakes. I know this could mean many things, but... Comedy and cakes sound good though!

Goodness I didn't know how much I wanted some post-tour, 2017 D&P publicity until now.

Channel 4 is publicly owned but has adverts. They wouldn't be able to put it behind a Paywall like YouTube Red.

I'm going to be a salty sally here: i really hope that GBBO junior isn't going to be their main project of the year. It's a lovely show, and I agree they would do well presenting it. But it's a kids show, and it would squash my hopes that they turn into a more mature direction with their content. We would just get their kid-friendly, well-shielded personnna's and that's exactly the opposite of what i'd like to see of them.

It's hard to predict what they are up to (or have been up to). If they are announcing anything substantive though I feel chances are it's gonna be television related when i read about who's organizing it.

It's probably nothing but the fact that they keep delaying this joint liveshow (which initially was just supposed to make up for the missed liveshows 2 weeks ago i think ?) makes me feel very suspicious(and ready to be disappointed)

Honestly, me re: this entire year with Dan and Phil:

I've never seen the British Bakeoff TV show or the kids version (I actually don't even have a tv connection, I'm that hipster), but I've heard about it.

While it would make sense with the cake and TV hints, I want to agree with Stakhanov. Why would they (seemingly deliberately) mature their content - more sexual jokes, tinder spons, moving away from the old image - and then host a show which is focused on kids? I don't know what the show's target audience is but I'd image kids and (grand)parents watching it, not the 20-30 year old audience that would be interested in things like Tinder.

Seems like two business decisions that point in completely opposite directions, so I don't think it's the Bakeoff thing.

Yeah I am pretty sure it's Wirrow. Also why did they have to move the liveshow. I re-arranged my schedule for it. Deppy are the kings of causing me stress.

I'm pretty sure the walk happened or is going to happen but not today. Why would he tweet that he is going out for a walk later tonight? So that fangirls just "happen" to walk into him while being with a friend that (if it's wirrow) doesn't even show his face online? For a person as careful as Dan, it seems unlikely to me. I am going with the "he just didn't want to do a ls for whatever reason" theory.
