What's going on with social blade? Is that a mistake or something? Why there are Fan channels also under Dan Howell Limited???

Hopping back to Dan's apology, I take those things he says as serious, with a pinch of salt that he at least wants us to think he's joking especially if I tweet him about it. I know how awful and destructive it is to your life to doubt yourself that much, but life and other people's comments happen and they get in there, but it undermines what he's just done that a lot of people enjoyed just fine. I sometimes marvel that he's done so well in spite of it, because I sure as hell haven't.

They don't need to pay % of their earnings to the network, so I guess its good. I also notice there is another youtube channel under danhowelllimited (it could be a mitake/glitch?); maybe they planning to branch out their business to network too?

Their IRL Digital Ltd is now managing their shop, Carrie's & Chris'.

I think it's most likely to be a mistake or something.

Both amazingphil ltd and dan howell ltd are under SIC code (nature of business) as 60200 - Television programming and broadcasting activities,Which clearly are meant for themselves to do TV related works.

companies like channelflip are under 59112 Video production activities.

I don't think they can legally manage channels using their company tho. If they do, more likely they will use Dan and Phil production ltd.

Plus why the hell they claim fan channels?

Idk how legit it is, but according to this, Dan Howell Limited has existed since October 2014? Not sure what that means, but there you have it.

This makes me doubt that it is real, because I don't see why those channels would be under Dan's network. Makes no sense to me.

It is legit; it is Dan's company for his income from youtube and BBCR1 and other solo work (he file the nature of business as Television programming and broadcasting activities). Phil's company is AmazingPhil Limited.

Since YTers are self-employed, it makes a lot of sense to set up a company (or four!) to manage the financial side of things, and pay yourself a wage as a director, as well as making sure that NI and income tax and whatever the new pension rules are somebody help me, I don't understand - I need an adultier adult! get paid. And all that's a nightmare, even on a teeny sole trader scale, so presumably hire accountants/advisors to deal with the finances. :wtf:
