These are so great!! AH. A few things surprised me:

It's weird that the "but who's to say that sucking balls isn't a good thing?" moment happened just this past year??????? Because to me it's in the same timeline as "there's nothing wrong with anal sex". I'm just generally a bit mind-blown by how much happened in 2017. Like.. the whole moving thing from rumor to reality was (mostly) in 2017. WTFFF.

Also... I have a lot of strong negative opinions about y'all's decisions. In what WORLD is "my literal other half" better than "forever home". Is everyone here ok? Do we all need an ophthalmologist appointment? The same goes for Phil's best outfit. He wore GOLD SHOES at the Star Wars premiere. How dare they come in second? Denim jackets are fine, I guess... But come on.

These are wonderful, what a year!

Rizzo my defense for the individual outfits is that we all knew the Star Wars Premiere would win best couples outfit. It seemed redundant to me.

+1 for both of these! I'm still swooning over the Star Wars selfie, if there was a general award for photo of the year, it has to be that one

I'm kinda surprised Layton's Mystery Journey scored so high on the list of their worst gaming videos this year, since that's the video that got me into D&P and I probably wouldn't have become a fan of theirs if they hadn't made it. Then again, I didn't really like either of the Mark of Oxin videos, so to each their own! I also love the fact that no one voted for The Memeing of Life

agreed! how is the forever home moment, which shows their desire to spend their lives with each other, not as good as a joke about how they were literally wearing a shared jumper?

also thank god no one voted for the meming of life because that was easily the worst dinof video this year, i'm not even sure how it was in the running

heaps of moments i hadn't remembered - echo rizzo that ball sucking wasn't even on my radar! (literally and also in the context of this post).

the awards are an excellent way of cataloguing content that had the most impact and i kinda wish i could look back on similar for 2014, 2015 etc. sort of like the phandom's version of dan's meme retrospective (which i hope he repeats this year)
