02.26 - Dan gives Phil flowers. The fact they're beheaded is completely irrelevant, okay. It's the thought that counts and I am easily pleased.
03.18 - They're having lunch by themselves while watching a tv show. That's just so them and I love it
05.08 - The whole bedroom thing at 1am aka when my brain had a breakdown when I first watched it because.. c'mon. Like... c'mon. How can anyone watch that and not... GET IT. C'mon. Please. Love yourself.

1. Which video was your favourite out of the two?
I definitely love the WITL video more because to me 2018dnp>>>> everything else and that's a video full of moments that wouldn't ever made the cut in previous years
2. Was there anything you disliked about the 2012 video? What did you like better about it?
Better? Nothing. You can just
sensethat they were not being 100% genuine in the 2012 vid and that they were trying too hard sometimes (ie Dan talking about strippers or the constant 'we do have other friends' thing). Another problem i have with the video is Dan. Like, I don't even know why, but Dan in 2012-2013 really annoys me to the point I've never watched a dinof video that he made during those years because I just know I couldn't go through it. I don't know what exactly annoys me so much, but I can't help it - maybe because knowing how he is now makes me not like his younger version since they're so different? Yeah, that must be it actually.
3. What's your favourite DITL in general and why?
FESTIVE DITL. There's no competition, I'm sorry. The festive vibes, Dnp just being cute and domestic.. that's all I need to be happy.
4. Do you often go back and re-watch their old videos from 2010-2013? What do you think of their humor back then?
I think the only old videos I rewatch are the baking ones. I'm just not too fond of their humor or the way they were in general. Like, I genuinely believe I wouldn't have subscribed to them If I had discovered their channels back then.
5. Why do you think the 2018 DITL has a relatively low viewcount (1.2 mil since April)?
I don't know, actually. I remember people were all over it when it came out so I don't really get it and who knows how YT works and at this point I'm too afraid to ask. A theory maybe is that it came out right after the GTPWTW video and perhaps people needed more time to recover from it, lmao.
Anyway, watching these videos back to back was an experience that enlighted so well all the progress they have made through the years and I'm so happy that they are now lowering their barriers with their audience, it's just nice to see. I'm so sad we won't get another ditl this year - I feel like after the mukbang video their level of comfort on camera would be even more visible now and I just need another ditl okay, please.
