I agree, I don't mind at all that it's more "professional," honestly I knew from the beginning that it would be that way, and I was always okay with it. Honestly we should be happy that deppy are sticking to youtube and not doing what Tyler did and becoming a talk show host or something. This docu is still basically a big youtube video, even though it's professional. it's probably going to feel a bit more like a reality show, but i don't mind. I'd rather watch that than a movie that Phil wrote and Dan directed with actors and stuff (I mean, I'd watch that, but this is better!) so honestly I feel like we're pretty lucky and shouldn't be complaining that it's "professional." I'm just happy for them!melon lord wrote:I don't mind much if it's professionally filmed, I know that the home recorded is the one we've come to love but for them it must be a huge milestone to have a pro crew. So I'll let them feel proud of it![]()
I can't stop thinking about the rebranding. Having tatinof as a sort of farewell to 7 years makes me wonder what the other 7 years will be like. Not gonna lie I'll probably still be watchingSince I'm near their age I also feel like I'm growing up with them but rather than live an exciting rich Youtuber life with my best friend I'm a forever alone middle class working citizen in her pyjamas with cheap ramen noodles and permanent online existence
just a funny observation:

Mark does stupid quizzes to find out who's his yt gf and bf and at 2:41 when he has to name other youtubers he goes "somebody, no idea, dunno" when he doesn't know or names those he knows, but when he gets to d&p he says "pfft... fuck those guys".
is there some kind of beef between markiplier and deppy i don't know about? does he get them in his tumblr tag like pewdiepie and that's why he's pissed?
As a person who wears contacts.... Ouch. I've scratched my eye and let me assure you people, it hurts like hell lmao.000dia000 wrote:PHIL PLS
don't think so, he said it in a very jokey way, it's just bants, I don't get any other vibe from it than a joking onepapierklemmen wrote:since my pointless small observation got buried by the end of the previous thread i'll just copypaste it here![]()

from someone who never wore contacts or anything, the idea is making me cringe so much, poor Phil, it must have hurt so much! Not gonna say I'm not glad we'll get more Phil in glasses thosentinel wrote:As a person who wears contacts.... Ouch. Considering how professional the trailers were, do you think that will be moving away from the self filmed and edited videos to a more "mature" style?
Maybe he should stay away from his contacts completely. For safety reasons obviously. Not because I prefer him with glasses. That would be a very shallow and selfish reason. *cough*000dia000 wrote:

I'm going to go with no, personally. The trailers had to be professional since well, YouTube wants their red originals to be taken seriously. Red originals are competition to other streaming sites that have exclusive membership content. It's important that the production quality is high so people will use their service and know they are getting high quaity content for the money they pay monthly. Also, Parts of the documentary are self filmed, we know that because of a few clips from the documentary trailer. So it's not like they didn't self film anything in it, unlike most documentaries I've see. Also, I can't see them taking the root of production like tomska and smosh do for YouTube videos anyways. it's not really a Normal youtube video style for vloggers.sentinel wrote:Considering how professional the trailers were, do you think that will be moving away from the self filmed and edited videos to a more "mature" style?
I assumed it was on the tour bus because it looked like a pretty small space to be a house, especially in America where houses tend to be pretty spacious. It was also in the portion of the trailer when they were discussing life on tour. It could actually come from any point in the documentary though, I suppose.Artdefines06 wrote:Ok, I spent all night thinking about where the cereal pouring scene took place. It looks so homey. I was thinking of where they could have stayed that looked/felt like a home, and I was wondering could it be phil's mom's house in florida? It would make sense that she would have cute little DnP plates hanging on the door of her kitchen, and that phil would be staying there. I know its a strange guess, but I'm putting it here now as proof that I thought of it.
I think it was on the bus although it does look a little spacious to be the bus, I don't agree that Mrs. Lester would have a "Dan and Phil" plate in her kitchen, lol. An homage to her son and his husband.......i mean, maybe she'd keep pictures of them at their wedding or something their wedding invitation but a sign that says dan and phil just seems kinda random if you ask me for a mother to have in her house. much more reasonable for deppy to have it in their own living space i guess. Also I agree that houses are normally bigger than that. But I guess we'll see!isabella wrote:I assumed it was on the tour bus because it looked like a pretty small space to be a house, especially in America where houses tend to be pretty spacious. It's definitely the tour bus. You can see the bunks behind him, and it matches photos of the interior layout of the buses and their little kitchen areas.isabella wrote:I assumed it was on the tour bus because it looked like a pretty small space to be a house, especially in America where houses tend to be pretty spacious. Oh - I haven't looked at what the bus looks like so I didn't think of that. I didn't even realize a bus could have a kitchen lol. Thats intense. Does it have more than one bathroom? Maybe its just to signify that this is their bathroom and no one else should use it. Or they are way more sentimental and sappy than I thought lol. All that midnight thinking wasted.alittledizzy wrote:It's definitely the tour bus. correct me if i'm wrong, but i believe the door with the sign leads to the only bedroom? their phil's bedroom had an ensuite bathroom in it so i assume that's the one they phil usedArtdefines06 wrote:Oh - I haven't looked at what the bus looks like so I didn't think of that. They really made it feel like a home to me. I guess that says something about how people can adapt to anything.
Yup, that's it. As another person has already said, I don't think they will. I think they are way too much of control freaks for that to happen.sentinel wrote:Considering how professional the trailers were, do you think that will be moving away from the self filmed and edited videos to a more "mature" style?
