Hello everyone!!

This is my first time in a while on a forum (aaah teenage days...that was...quite a while ago but don't tell anyone) so it might take a while for me to get used to it again and be confident enough to post... :)

Lurked on that other forum (ahem) for a few months now and decided to get out of the shadows and finally post! To give the tone I'm basically Dan trash so...yeah... (i relate to this smiley a lot tbh)

Didn't know what username and avi to get, so there you go, favorite band blahblahblah
And to cover all the basic stuff, my name's Coralie, I'm 23 (and happy to see people my age in the fandom because yay!!), french and I live in London. (for now...)

Can't wait to speak with you all about those two utter flops!

I was trying to find Dan waving hello but I'm a fan of the drunken hand heart so have that instead.

I've seen so many people in the past few days say GG was the first forum/the only one they've ever used and omg it makes me feel old. When I first started exploring fandoms, forums and mailing list groups were pretty much the only options out there!

I'm so glad these vestiges of the early internet still exist, though. Honestly, I just couldn't maintain interest in a fandom without a way to have long form conversations about it and most social media that fandoms base themselves out of just doesn't cut it.

Really happy to have that gif, perfect welcome gift (...do emojis work on forums nowadays? No idea  )

YES!! to everything you just said. I feel like with tumblr and twitter it is too fast and too constricted to properly talk about something. I mean fandom wise.
Forums are still the best way to share about a subject and just say EVERYTHING you want about it without feeling restricted in some way.
...and i never thought about forums as "vestiges from the old internet" but now that you said it...omg...we're getting old

edit: emojis don't work and i had to remove it to post this smh technology :(
