For the moving theory- didn’t dan have that black desk and plant in the filming flat at one point? I also thought that when dan filmed in the moon room the other day the angle was interesting/his weird metal thing looked a lot more bare then the last time we saw it

And the filming flat has white floors so it def. is the living flat

Most recent insta story killed my half-baked theory since the plant and desk are both in the filming flat.

ETA: it killed my theory but it warmed the FUCK out of my heart.

Defo moved Dan’s filming stuff and other props into the filming flat, spare bedroom I would guess. It’s all about the flooring baby! I’m impressed with Dan’s makeup skills :sparkle:

whatever you do, don't think about dan gently pressing glitter and sequins onto phil's cheekbone.

don't do it.

I'm firmly in the "they'll let both flats go at once" camp, though. I really don't believe they'd want people touring the filming flat while they still live in the uh, living flat. However, I do believe they might be moving really soon - this whole road trip is a convenient time for big muscular human beings to come and transport their things from one place to another, like they did during their previous move. It's happening, y'all.

noodlebum is right, Phil did film in the filming flat quite recently, I think in his instagram hacks video? Or was it snapchat? I don't remember. He may have pre-filmed of course, and I would not be surprised if there are boxes everywhere right now. No matter though, I'm like 99% sure they'll keep both flats until they move entirely.
See I was of this opinion as well, but I don’t think they’re packed up (I know these IG stories were from awhile ago, but Dan’s post pride one was live(ish) and that metal and glass cabinet thing in the moon room was full of stuff.

Also yes I know I contradicted myself with the upstairs and downstairs, I guess upstairs has a couple corners the extra desk could be in. Hmm.

I think I actually jumped when I heard Dan's voice in the background of Phil's story. I've missed them together so much, even just in the form of IG stories. Love that Dan did Phil's glitter makeup :happytears: Also for some reason I love that they did the photoshoot at home using a backdrop and a covered table lamp (rather than in a studio). There is just something really cute about that.

Do you guys think D&P will get married in Vegas? I’ve seen some theories floating and to me it does not seem unlikely.
Now that they’ve come out to family and audience there would realistically be nothing holding them back?!?

I genuinely think that if they were to get married in Vegas it would be so that it wouldn't be on the british marriage registry (someone correct me if I'm wrong but I think if you get married abroad it's not listed on the registry in the UK). So I don't think coming out was what was holding that back necessarily.

I generally think that Dan is WAY too extra and perfectionist to go for a Vegas wedding because he'd want more control over the aesthetic. Phil would probably not want to get married without his whole famalam there.
(But we definitely wouldn't hear about it if they got married after all their statements they want their relationship to be private.)

Deppy speaking to each other all softly and happily. Love my two favorite business partners. :happytears:

And I sure was a whole fool saying that they wouldn't have applied the glitter themselves but I've never been more happy to be wrong. Good job Daniel, your talent knows no bounds :love2:

out of curiosity, what's the rationale behind the moving theory?

they still have the filming flat unless phil filmed his coming out video way in advance, the iconic clip of him opening the wardrobe and going 'hi, i'm gay' was in his old ap filming room.
also i am really confused about where in their apartment that corner is because the black desk and bonsai were in the dinof filming room and i'm also pretty sure phil is sitting on the butt chair. yet in the ig story the floor is brown so they must have moved those things to somewhere in the living flat?

Is it possible they've already moved and have been moved out for quite some time? It's ultimately just a white wall and kind of similar furniture. I'm not an expert on the layout of their filming-flat and actual live-in-flat (and it even took me a while to come around to the idea of that) but it would be pretty funny if they revealed that they have already been in their forever home for a while now.

Anyways, Dan applying glitter to Phil's face and making snide remarks from behind the camera is straight out of a phanfic. Wtf. How is this the real world, again? Feels like a 3000 word drabble with a modest 100 kudos or something.

^Nope not a possibility it’s way more than furniture and white walls. Bought? Sure. Living there now? Nah.

They’ve mentioned buying a home since they first moved into this place. We know they’ve looked at properties and they can’t have a dog while they rent.

I’m enjoying being around for moving theories this time, I got into dnp shortly after they moved last time and I missed all the fun

dnp returning from vidcon: We couldn't clean up all the glitter so we had to get rid of the old flat and buy a new one.

I don’t think either really have a strong opinion on the the necessity of marriage as an affirmation of commitment. I can see Dan especially waffle on the idea of marriage and balking at it in general. That said, when playing through the Sims I think they did seem to get into the “planning” and romanticized ideal of it, so maybe that’s a reflection of their feelings too.

For a multitude of practical reasons, if/when they decide to own property together, they’ll probably have a good long think if it makes sense to enter into a civil partnership, which would grant them the same rights as a married couple without the same formality.

BTW, what’s the collective opinion on referring to D&P as “a couple” or “boyfriends”... using Dan’s own words “best friends”, “companions”, “soulmates” all seem a little stiff and formal. Is there any counter argument to just saying “partners” or “boyfriends”, or do we have to wait for them to use the term?

I've been using partners to describe them. I'm hesitant to use another term that is 100% not platonic until we get confirmation from them that they're still a couple. 'Partners' feels nice and safe as it can be platonic, and it gets across how much they mean to each other whilst not assuming on their current relationship status.

Partners seems quite fitting to me, though I also wouldn't hesitate to say 'boyfriends' - I don't really feel it necessary to wait for them to re-issue proof on a weekly basis before assuming that two people in their situation in life are a couple. But boyfriends sounds a bit young (not in every context, but in most of the ones in which I'd be talking about them) and partner just kind of has that all-encompassing life feel to it that fits them so well.
