you don't understand what it does to me. i've heard a tale once that people in happy relationships will often gain weight without realizing it simply because they feel comfortable. it ALWAYS gives me feels.

just had another lovely moment of "oh, THAT's where its from!!" because I haven't watched that video in years and Dan's whisking song plus "DELIA SMITH WOULD WHISK TEN BOWLS OF PANC- you're gonna dribllbllblll!" are actually still in my vocabulary.

Watching old videos is so strange for me. My brain barely recognizes young Dan as the same person as today's Dan.

I don’t really care about the merch at all but I’m getting antsy for Phil’s video and an update on joint content. I’m glad they had their vacations but something else would be nice too.

i spent all of july in the hospital and just finished updating myself on all the stuff they did in that time by reading through a full two and a half threads. it took me like a week. imagine that picture of spongebob sweating and leaning on a rock. thats me currently. at least it kept me intrigued and busy in this little content drought since their us shenanigans.

i'm way late but i want to say the phrases that constantly get stuck in my head are usually really random things like "in your fervor you unlocked the xbox cupboard" and "making you get the post? im doing a liveshow." so, so married.

i'd like to expect a phil upload by the weekend but i won't hold my breath.

anyway, i'm happy to be back and looking forward to being more active on here again as lots of things in my personal life have gone to shit oh well, fill the void with hyperfixations, am i right?

The baking video where Dan says “Your kitchen is gonna be destroyed”! I remembered that quote but when I’ve tried to find it on YouTube by going to a baking video playlist, this video hasn’t been there. I guess it’s not technically baking. Very happy to see I didn’t imagine a random quote! I think it stuck out because Dan says “your” kitchen and everything is usually “our” when Dan talks, including unusual phrases like “We want you to see our face.”

I’d just like to express my appreciation for Dan appreciating Phil catching the lemons just because Phil is proud of himself and then half-heartedly trying to play off fondness as sarcasm.

Welcome back sugar! I love the domestic vibes of Phil complaining about getting the post during dan’s liveshow.

okay so this is incredibly offtopic but deppy aren't doing anything interesting at the moment. i was looking at dan's old school's wikipedia page and while he was still a pupil there, the caretaker murdered his wife and left her body in the school grounds.

that school sure had a lot of questionable staff members. psycho french teacher, killer janitor and i'm sure dan has mentioned others through the years even if i can't think of them just now. i know my old school had a couple of teachers with histories of being inappropriate *cough* with female pupils and another one who almost certainly faked his qualifications, but murder on the school grounds is next level.

I noticed he had to serve 13 years before being eligible for parole, which would be around now, so had a little look but couldn't find anything.

Then I realised I was googling the criminal status of a convicted murderer that worked at Dan's school and questioned both what I am doing with my life and that the lads reallly need to release some form of content to discuss because we're really scraping the barrel here.

I was literally thinking about Phil's vid. I know some people have a feeling that it will be uploaded this week but he said that the editing might take a lil' while so I'm not sure it will be the case? But I'm intrigued and I have absolutely no idea what he's up to and LOL, he will definitely ignore all the suggestions, that's the one thing I'm sure of (but like, it would be nice to just pull a Jenna Marbles every now and then and do what the audience wants him to do, especially the audience that pays for the membership... just saying). Either way, I hope we will get something more juicy soon, I miss them and not to sound demanding but I'm boooooooored.

I have a new wish for content. I've gotten really into Daniel J Layton's hilarious videos - his humor is kinnnnda similar to Dan's I'd say - but he has a Baking with Layton segment and he's collabed with a lot of folks that D&P know (dodie, hazel hayes, tomska, tessa violet) and he's like *almost* a good baker, but everything still feels very homegrown and cute. Also he lives in London. So yes, I would like this collab plz thanks now. Preferably both Dan and Phil but if not both, definitely Dan. So pretty much yes this is what I want.

Ouch, I feel like defending Daniel J Layton’s baking skills “almost good” indeed it’s his thing, he seems pretty good at it to me, though he does do it casually enough that he lets it be a bit messy rather than polished perfection. He is very funny, I hadn't realised until recently how sarcastic he can be. Just don’t ask him who Janet Jackson is (someone did at SITC, they may have been trying to get a reaction).

Fair enough! that's what I was going for with "almost good" - I'd venture to say he's no Rosanna Pansino with pinterest-perfect creations but he's a heck of a lot better than DNP. And sometimes the things he makes really don't turn out very well at all, but it's always funny and clear he actually knows what he's doing in the kitchen.

He really has collabed with nearly everyone in the British youtube scene, time for a DNP baking collab. (*continues fantasizing about content now that we seem to have entered another drought*)

I would absolutely love the boys to feature on Baking with Layton, Daniel J is one of my faves and I think it would be wonderfully chaotic (and not as awkward as the Rosanna Pansino collab they did a few years ago).

So, on the subject of Phil's new video. I hope it comes soon. I'm getting tired of all my other youtubers and I don't particularly want to find more. LOL. I'm picky and very random with the content I want.

I doubt that Phil does anything the viewers want, because right now I'm sure it's a lot of Dan/Phan related stuff. Not that it's bad and I'm sure there are other suggestions in there but I think as a whole that we are so starved for content (and particularly Dan content) that that's what we're craving. I'm starved for both of them. I really love Phil's videos this year though (and in general). He always keeps it so fun and light and just such a wonderful break from the day. I honestly would love if he just realeased another video like that. I don't think that is what is going to come though, given the editing job needed on this video. I don't know shit about making videos, so in my mind, the only ones that would really involve that much editing are Day In The Life vids and I don't feel like that is the video we're getting, so really, I have NO CLUE what we might be in for.


Also, until we get new content, I'm just going to share random videos that I love to keep us entertained. LOL.
Today's choice (but really, this week's, since I've watched it probably 30 times):


This vid actually smashes together a piece of one of Dan's videos and a segment referenceing the same incident from a live show. I really love the live show part because I love how he had and issue and a bad day and the one thing he knew would solve everything was Phil. I particularly love how he said that Phil was like "Have you dropped out? Are you moving in? What's going on?" It reminds me so much of the time my mom kicked me out and I went to my first boyfriend's house and he just took me in. He asked a few questions, but he was there no matter what the answer was. It makes me think that Phil would have been cool with whatever Dan was gonna tell him, but he just wanted to know so he knew what to do. I love it alot.
