Haven’t posted since last year (I still read every post religiously though!)

This video is all I ever wanted for Christmas. They are so open, comfortable, and willing to share so much with us. Truly shook.

Loved those few interior design snippets too. Very intrigued by the possible roof garden. Phil’s dad is very talented.

I also love when they leave in the parts where they’re discussing whether to edit something out or not. It feels so real and “behind the scenes”.

Literally almost done with college now and I still cannot let go of their videos That last one was so sweet. I still haven't found the words to describe how much I love this video. Definitely not the sequel I expected after all these years, but I'm more than happy to get it after all these years. I was actually thinking about it earlier in the year and how they never did it again. Merry fucking Christmas to us all.

I'm glad Dan has finally gotten to a point where he realizes that he can't wait on shit forever. Very sorry so many of his plans fell through, but excited to see what a new era of Dan Doing Things will look like.

THIS VIDEO WAS EVERYTHING.

I always go back to rewatch the first one and this one was even more glorious. It’s so wonderful to see how far their comfort levels have come and how far out they’ve been willing to set their boundaries with us. They seemed to be having a lot of fun too. Just an all around great video - definitely the best holiday gift.

I’m really stuck on Phil saying “my dad painted us some pictures” (such beautiful paintings too). When joint couple gifts from Phil’s parents also feature their Japan trip…

Anyway… I loved that this really did feel like a wrap up of the year, but focusing on the type of stuff they KNOW we want (aka domestic bants). I appreciated the meme rating system too - nothing but 5 out of 5’s.

This had me reflecting on the other Joint Content we’ve received this year. One of my sleeper faves has really become the CAH video - that video felt like a really nice nostalgia trip back through the history of dan and phil and it was just nice to see them talk about things like the sexy end screen dance and their old branding in a more relaxed way.

But anyway, back to this video. I’ve been laughing about the catboy story for hours now. They just rolled up to a private gay club together in FF and got hit on by a bear, then ran away. Incredible. I’m also very glad Dan is deciding to come back rather than wait in limbo for his nebulous dream projects, although I do feel for him that nothing has quite panned out the way they should have. I hope it all still comes into fruition next year.

But ngl I’m incredibly happy at the prospect of more Dan content (and hopefully with that, the continuation of occasional Dan and Phil content)

(Although if he wanted to come back in the form of the gaming channel/a joint channel I’d be very casually fine about that. Some dreams never die )

I guess we’ll see, but I think it’s pretty likely that Phil at least will have gone to his parents (based on his Short); who knows about Dan, but normally he goes to his own family for Xmas day, and they aren’t in lockdown this year so he may just do that. I loved that they finally got to spend Christmas together last year, but obviously it wasn’t by choice. Lol (I’m sure they still had a nice enough time, but I bet Phil in particular is ecstatic to be able to go back this year.)

I’d love to see a new year joint selfie though! (it would have helped so much last year what with all the people insisting they didn’t spend it together and starting all sorts of strange rumours )

I live in the UK, but I don't think it's that weird. I have a friend who's been with her partner 6 or 7 years, they're very committed and living together, and her partner usually goes over to his parents on Christmas day, while she stays and invites her mum over. they meet up again in the evening. I think different people have different traditions with this sort of thing.

TBH though, I'm not convinced dan and phil were even separated yesterday; their separate selfies (dan with colin and phil on the iom) seemed very synchronised, sent at around the same time. and we all know how they love to post things on a delay. it wouldn't surprise me if they'd been taken during the week (especially dan with colin).
