I've just been wondering where are all the D&P are polyamorous/in an open relationship truthers these days. Because I feel like that was a kind of common theory sometime after the coming out but these days after the gaming channel come back I'm seeing more and more people joke about jealousy from Dan (totally understandable from many many moments) and how they very much don't seem like the types to be with someone else. Have people's opinions changed or are some people still convinced that there is anyone else these guys could be seeing that's not each other?

I don't think they are polyamorous and that they have other partners they emotionally get involved with at all. I think they love eachothers and won't get anyone between their living situation as a couple because i think they get jealous over the thought of the other getting another bestfriend/soulmate (and i would pity the man that has to be between their deep bond) but i think that they are open to sex with other people. I think they would trust and know eachothers enough for it and that they think it's something really fun. I won't state it as a fact because of course i don't know them.

these are my thoughts. i completely believe that emotionally, they are a closed unit. sexually, i wouldn't be surprised if they've dabbled outside of their bubble.

The DPG was going towards the 1M views upon return and then dropped to 300k.
I'm not following tour numbers, but from what I gathered they're selling more than what they had expected which means people are interested.
However, that significant drop (1M -> 300K) tells me something else has also happened. How come could YT be still punish them for the demonetisation, since it happened so long time ago? Or why would surviving fans, who made them do 1M views, lose interest?

I want to formerly apologise to Daniel Howell and Philip Lester. I downloaded Roblox (at my big age) and discovered that the game controls leave a lot to be desired. The way I see it, a lot of the people that initially tuned into the DAPG comeback did not actually intend to stay, they wanted to check how the youtubers they used to watch were doing, they satiated their curiosity, and then moved on. Something else to keep in mind is that they gained over 100k subscribers in a very short time which made youtube more likely to push their videos in the algorithm. Once channel growth plateaus, the videos don't get recommended to as many people. This is actually something I've heard the Try Guys complain about before, though I can't remember where they said it. Also, a sentiment I've seen expressed by casuals quite a lot was that they weren't satisfied with the video quality/content, as they hoped the DAPG comeback would include more "serious" gaming, which dnp did not deliver.

Idk whether to call that naive or just dumb. Dan and Phil got to where they are by being Dan and Phil. They built their gaming channel by being like "even if you don't play games, come try it". I assume most of their viewers aren't avid gamers and while sometimes I think I'd watch Dan and Phil do anything, if they started posting long videos of serious let's play of games I don't care about, I'd have a hard time watching. This way even if they play a game I'm not into, they still make it entertaining and then move on to another game. There is a plethora of gamers out there, why expect Dan and Phil to try to be like any of them instead of being their silly selves?

As for the views discussion, it's so strange to think people would want them to become 'serious' gamers because yes, I agree that their success and core appeal comes from their social dynamic. I'm not a gamer and much prefer their banter to the game itself

As the conspiracies... perhaps I'd like them to address how they felt while people were speculating over the 2 apartments, knowing that they were actually lying about it?

the connections video is another example, as it's entirely based on references/lore you wouldn't understand if you weren't an avid viewer.

that said, it sounds like dnp are pretty okay with their current audience dynamic and consider the dapg return to have been a positive thing by the metrics that matter to them. they're playing it by ear and if they want to change things up, they will.

i'm curious about the state of their potential aspirations outside of dapg… dan signing with that talent agency back in the autumn suggests those have not been abandoned (though of course, will certainly be on the backburner until after tour at least).

That's what I'd assume, that it's gonna be for people who have been here for a while but they also said about how you can bring people who don't know them and they'll enjoy it because you don't need to know anything. Which kinda goes against that and is not what most people really want.
