Hello Internet! I've been lurking on idb since I started actively watching D&P last month Yes, I know, I'm extremely late to the party. BUT! I have an excuse for this!!! so I decided to finally get an account on here because I have so many opinions I want to share with all of you, seeing that you're all such a lovely and mature community.

Anyway, my name is Julie and I've only started actively watching D&P since last month, as I previously stated. But don't you worry! I'm as much as any of you. I did know about D&P from roughly around the late 2012- the start of 2013. I did also know that if I started watching them I will inevitably fall in love with their quirky, fun personalities and content. Now, the reason I didn't join the Phandom then was..exactly because of the Phandom in itself. The size and sometimes downright crazyness of this fandom seriously scared me, as I was just a little immature early teen. To be honest I was still a little weary of it even last month but gathered my courage up as my curiosity finally reached its limit. I am still on the young side of the phandom (I'm 17) but I am usually more interested in opinions and discussions with older fans because they see things from a different, more mature side.

I do indeed ship Phan, but I'm not a crazy Phangirl (they give me a really hard time as I cringe quite easily)

I hope we'll all get along and have entertaining discussions and that this site will accept me even being so young and maybe cure some of my shyness, hopefully. Excuse my English, I am not a native.

Hi and welcome. We're not ageist here, although you'll just have to stick to real ribena instead of "ribena". And there are a bunch of regular posters who do not have English as a native language and it is awesome that you'll all come hang with us anyway!

LOL well really you wouldn't have to sneak it, I may be OLD but I remember my teen years well and I'd never be so hypocritical as to disapprove of anyone's (responsible-ish) ribena consumption.

Hi! Welcome!! :D Don't worry, age is definitely not an issue.

You mentioned you've been lurking on IDB since you started watching D&P last month. May I ask how you found IDB? Did you find GG first, or did you actually just discover IDB directly through Google or something? I'd love to know.

although I am not Poe, as a datapoint I will say that I lurked on GG for a while, when not on tumblr, then got distracted by Sebastian Stan and Chris Evans for several months and then when I was bored I looked through tumblr for age-appropriate D&P stuff and I found a message about IDB on someone's blog and it wasn't until about 15+ posts in that I put 2 and 2 together to realise that this was the same people as GG. I am kind of stupid at times.

I actually didn't know about GG until I found you guys. I found IDB through Google Images actually, while I was searching for the layout of tour bus, because I'm like that . Anyway, I saw the forum name and a little bit of a post from IDB next to the image and decided to check out the forum and fell in love with it made an account

edit: also until I decided to make the account I took the time to read Dan & Phil part 7 and 8 and I'm almost done with the 9 (10 more pages to go)

This was so me as a teenager - though I gotta admit, most of the teenagers on this board just come off as adults with well thought out and rational opinions on everything that would have put me to shame at 17! I think you'll fit in fantastically here.
