Yikes, reminds of something junior high school kids would be dying of laughter over. Oh wait a minute a lot of the phandom members are babies.fancy_nancy wrote: Blowing up a condom is something a 10 year old finds funny, yikes, talk about second hand embarassment
I find the usage of blowing up a condom on stage immature and a bit disgusting. Have respect for and also the venue hosting TATINOF.
Oqua As another Californian, I applaud your overuse of like. At least you aren't overly using hella.
Also I'm extremely thrilled my suggestion was chosen for the thread name.

Babe I'm really old, so please enlighten me what does a ring on right hand means? Wedding should be on left right?2old4thisshite wrote:sweetmm wrote:Poor Phil got squished in the middle as Dan refused to open his door on the other side for the lady![]()

What I find interesting about Dan liking those sorts of things on twitter is the fact that he knows people religiously go stalk his likes. He knows people are going to find it and try to analyze it, so it's almost like everything he favorites is a statement in its own.
... Or, maybe it's not and the dude just wants to casually fave things without being analyzed.

(insert a funny quote from the forum here)
Occasionally he doesn't think it through at all though, which leads to great things and much hilarity...! 'Don't analyse this" just reminds me of the Doodle pages of TABINOF. And we analysed those to death...pixlexia wrote:What I find interesting about Dan liking those sorts of things on twitter is the fact that he knows people religiously go stalk his likes. Soz Dan.
Subject: Dan & Phil Part 9: The most fun we've ever had
Harking back to the other thread (sorry, I was sleepin'!) with a preface of a, I was in musicals, b, in the UK, and c, it's been a while, but I don't think that much has changed...Lurktacularr wrote:Aw. Looks like they had him in their dressing room. Is that TV behind them showing the stage? I wonder why that is? Anyone more stage-y got any ideas? IckleMissMayhem?corn flakes wrote:
It's not usual for dressing rooms to have screens showing the stage. Normally what you get is very tinny audio of what's going on from crappy PA speakers. (when you're doing a show up to 8 times a week, you don't need to "see it" to know where it's up to and if you need to get a wiggle on during (quick) changes(!)
People who have screens are usually the stage manager(s) - either calling the show in the booth or in the wings, the sound/lighting/projection/scenery/effects teams, the conductor...
So yeah. Definitely backstage, but probably not dressing room...
OH. Just had a thought. If the theatre they were at has a longer-running show and they're having TATINOF on what would otherwise be a "dark" night, (like the Palladium had Cats on when they did their London dates last year) maybe they've taken over an office to use as a dressing room. Looking at their current schedule, (from today onwards, annoyingly!) the Beacon doesn't do any overlaps like that. Hey ho.

^ same, I find it quite disrespectful to DP and the crew themselves. "Yes, so there you have the show we have arranged for you during months" "AhaHaHa CONDom! Lolzzz", and it seems that the majority of their fans on Twitter find it extremely hilarious as well.lavenderpetals wrote:Yikes, reminds of something junior high school kids would be dying of laughter over. Also,
[offtopic]Judgmental shit: I know ~le condom king~ is a just child and children are generally cringe as fuck, but I just stalked her twitter and...holy hell that child is obnoxious. And she's got over 76K tweets, including NINE tweets giving a play by play of her going to McDonalds and discovering it was closed. Riveting stuff.[/offtopic]

hey for the person who takes THE RULES to their M&G and ask what they are, don't forget to also ask if Dan signed it "Dan Lester".
as for that condom shit, this is SO CRINGE but I also find that whole saga of "oh they lost control of it" "it's on the stage" "they call themselves the condom king" (like u serious) kinda hilarious. But it is because i'm 2.

Ugh the Condom thing. Sometimes I forget how young some of the phandom are to find that even remotely funny. It is just embarrassing for them...
I am guessing we have all given up hope for a liveshow... Technically it has been a month since the last one they done so surely with their contract they have to do one soon. (They have got a day off today....)

I have given up hope for a live show, which means that if they were to actually do one anytime soon, I will be pleasantly surprised. This way I avoid disappointment.Kathrynxjane wrote:I am guessing we have all given up hope for a liveshow... Just for context, and my own curiosity, Dan has 11.8k tweets, Phil 32.5k (all those breakfasts, clearly(!)

YouNow has a partners program. To be included in it you must have at least 2 liveshows a week and have at least 500 (as I remember, might be wrong number) people watching you on every stream. Of course Dan and Phil have special contract as they are probably their top partners.sunday wrote:Prob a dumb question but can I ask how you guys know Dan and Phil have contracts w/ YouNow?

Thanks! Maybe they asked for special conditions throughout their tour and that's why they haven't done a LS in over a monthl8er_sk8er wrote:YouNow has a partners program. came in here to say: LOVED the agario vid, surprised at the sort of luke-warmish responses. is the waiting game negatively affecting how their content is received again, like last year? i wonder if they'd not mentioned the next gaming vid at all and just dropped this randomly whether there'd be a difference.
they were chill. enjoying one another's company, and quite casually fond. but most of all, enjoying the game. winning combination, for me. incredible what the most basic things can do to change the vibe, and how differently i'd perceive them lately if they were just met all the time, instead of being the exception to the rule.
I just searched for 5 minutes on tumblr to find a gif of 8.14. That pout was 2010-gaming vid worthy. why you let me down, people-who-know-how-to-make-gifs?
i especially liked how Phil started off with an instructional tone, like he has a few times with games, and then Dan was instantly better at it than him - but their dynamic remained really playful. i don't mind Dan being loud, when it is genuine gamer rage, which i'm sure someone said on here the other day. on the flipside of that i'd say i don't mind Phil performing worse when it doesn't channel into inferiority/bitterness issues.
now i want to say: i don't take notice of Dan's likes, so the labels one was new to me - but a lot of his fans sure as hell do. Dan knows exactly what he's doing. i fully support that opinion, if it is indeed his (whilst also acknowledging it is only one side of the argument for how to deal with bigotry/politics). i'm curious how long he's felt this way. if they feel gagged because of their career situation in any aspect, i'm totally here for them letting their behaviour and words (without definitive explanation) increasingly do the talking instead. again i find myself mildly frustrated, though, having to type 'their' when actually, i have no idea if any of this applies to Phil also.
watching them stand in silence next to Joe in the background of someone's summit vlog, a fellow awkwarder (there are degrees, but he definitely can be), made me both internally cringe and also want to hug all three of them. nice seeing them catch up with old school yters this week though, Natalie Tran being my goddess. was dudeeaseonup (whats his name?) commenting back in naked booth days? or am i confusing him with someone else?
i haven't been following every single clip from tour because i find so many 30 second shaky uploads overwhelming, but i look forward to catching up on show reviews. now if only they could tweet something other than shitpost sex innuendos and dumb fucking national stereotype 'jokes'
oh wait, i do have something Grumpy Old Lady to say: what is it with people complaining about fans screaming when they see them lately? i get that it might make you cringe, but it comes dangerously close to shaming/judgey-wudgey depending on how that feeling is expressed to me. let kids get excited about something. the balance between realising they're just average people and respecting boundaries, and expressing their joy after a long build-up seems fine from where i'm standing. especially compared to other fandoms i've been in. at least those screaming fans are in a group, present a transparent and manageable entity, and that star-struck idolisation probably prevents more surreptitious stalking of them when they're not expecting to have to interact and just want to feel 'normal'. i find the way some adult fans act and then pass judgement on how younger fans express themselves far creepier.
- Dan's legs look like amazing bendy liquorice sticks in those spray-ons and i'm living for the left-side face snaps he can't quite control. also the candid body language has been both interesting and endearing to witness. i'm not sure if people will know what i mean by this.
- Phil looking like a protective dad, handsy and warm but also quieter with fans (apparently?) this time around. penny for your thoughts, Philly? *slaps tweet drafts list away* NO. NO. REAL THOUGHTS PHILIP. BAD BOY.
