I'm going to stick with the theory that Tyler accidentally mixed up his main blog with his secret Phan blog, where he reblogs pictures of Dan's legs and links to his BDSM fanfiction and nobody can convince me otherwise.

It could be true since he half admitted reading smutty phanfic when he collabed with Dan

Glad i'm not the only one who 100% thinks tyler was talking about reading phanfic in the Never Have I Ever video. he specifies that it wasn't fic about himself, is clearly so embarrassed ("i can feel my face turning bright red"), admits that it was a fic about two guys and refuses to say who. The only other ship i feel like he'd refuse to admit to reading would be tronnor, bc that's it's whole own messy can of worms. But the way Dan's looking at him during that whole portion seems like he KNOWS it was about him and phil. (6.21 he does that lip thing i've noticed him do in a few occasions where it seems like he's literally swallowing/biting down his own inappropriate thoughts)

what a freaking mess tyler has gotten himself into right now. for someone who's all about lgbt support and preaches letting people divulge information about their sexualities at their own pace, he sure has made some rookie mistakes recently.

[offtopic]also now that i've been rewatching the never have i ever--one of my favorite dan videos EVER--i noticed how much dan mirror's tyler's expressions. i know he specifically mentioned these collabs with tyler as an example of how he adapts his personality to make whoever he is with feel comfortable, typically mirroring their behavior, so he was acting far more outgoing and cheeky with tyler than he would with someone like, say, tomska. at 9.35 look at the way his expressions mirror tyler's as tyler tells the story about jack and finn rejecting him. his eyes widen with sympathy when tyler's widen, he looks awkward when tyler looks awkward, he starts nodding when tyler starts nodding. i think this is sweet and interesting.

All jokes aside, it is so strange and upsetting. He is gay and knows how it feels to be in the closet and not wanting to come out. How can he not see that talking about it just brings more attention to it? If he would have just deleted it and not said anything it would have been better. I mean this is all assuming that they're in a closet of some kind... however if they weren't in a kind of closet there wouldn't be anything to get upset about...would there be? :shrug

It's even more upsetting knowing he is friend with them, if he knows about D&P (assuming they're a couple) why would he joke about phan ?

I'm not sure they're friends, at least on the Dan and Phil standards: besides meeting in a couple of Youtuber events, filming those collabs and random tweets, they don't seem to interact that much.

I also believe that his last tweet is a bit fishy. He's obviously referring to Dan and Phil, so I don't really get why he would say "pushing to share personal things", as if there actually was something personal to share? Or maybe he wanted to use this opportunity and state his opinion on this matter, but I can't think of any other current Youtube drama in terms of sexuality or hidden relationships that may have caught his attention.

Well, I don't remember what Tyler said the first time he reblogged the post but Louise was asked if Phan was real and she answered that nobody knew but there is no real proof of that and for Dan, he was asked during the show what someone should do to get noticed by their crush (or something like that, someone correct me if I'm wrong) and he answered " Stalking him until he loves you". Which could refer to the beginning of their relationship/friendship.

Hi! Summary:

- Tyler reblogged this a couple of weeks ago, deleted it, said he had reblogged it without wanting to. It wasn't the first time he had posted something related to Dan and Phil being romantically involved.
- Correct me if I'm wrong gnostic, but the Louise reference was because she lost a memory card that contained a collab video with Dan and Phil, and Phil had to rush and upload the Obama Llama one.
- Dan is on a roll because he makes frequent homoerotic references, and yesterday he advised to "drop out and stalk him until he loves you" when asked about how to get noticed by a crush, in a TATINOF show.

I don't believe that Tyler was hacked. I agree that Tyler is smart and probably wouldn't reblog it again, but I think it was an accident. I think the first time he reblogged it to try to be relateable and quirky, to get his fans to identify with him, and in reality it caused backlash and he had to apologize for it. In my opinion though, he handled it pretty well from what I've seen the first time. Second time though, definitely shouldn't have claimed you were hacked. At least for the people who don't believe it. To me it seems like a very weird and small thing for a hacker to do when the hacker could easily post stuff like "LOL I F*CKED TOYE IN THE BUTT" idk

I don't believe he was hacked, but I do believe he somehow accidentally queued that up to post after the first time he deleted it. So I let him off the hook on responding to it this time (last time I was alll about the 'delete it and shut up' route), but twice? Everybody saw it the first time, so if he posted it again without mentioning it, that would look even worse, wouldn't it? I mean, it looks bad no matter what lol, wtf Tyler. I was so worked up about it when it happened the first time, but now I just have to laugh. Technology will be the end of us all.

It's still up and it's been almost an hour. It doesn't look like Tyler's online atm from his twitter so I guess he accidentally queued it at some point, probably when he first posted it, but it still seems ridiculous given his reaction to the first time. I doubt he's done it on purpose, but I agree that it is actually a bit irritating to see it left up so long.

Like I guess he could have reblogged it in real time the last time & then queued it while deleting frantically, maybe? But that's us nearing benefits of the doubt I usually save only for Dan's love of all things Kanye. Like fool me once... you know.

Yeah, that was exactly my theory, especially as he deleted it quite quickly the first time around therefore was likely active online. I'm not a particular fan of Tyler's and don't believe the 'hacked' story for a second, but I am giving him the benefit of the doubt on that idea, not least because he honestly doesn't really gain much out of deliberately reblogging it? A brief rush of attention, sure, but he's not exactly reaching any massively new audiences with the phandom itself, and potentially at the risk of alienating us in the long run, and creating an awkward situation with D&P. It's just a bit of a mess.

I'm actually kind of pissed at his general tweet about the situation though? Like, don't turn your screw up into fans not respecting people's boundaries, the whole situation here is on your shoulders, fans didn't cause this. It feels like Tyler's trying to turn it back on the fans by saying that we're doing something wrong in responding to a situation that he created - kind of like Hazel's tweets, trying to get everyone apologising and falling over themselves not to talk about it beyond that when actually very few people did anything 'wrong' in the first place. In this case fans were not the ones pushing boundaries here - Tyler is the one who broke them, accidentally or otherwise.
