I'm starting to think that their YT friends (or more likely "colleagues" in THEIR books) have no idea about their relationship or their sexualities. I mean, if you would ask somebody about the status of their relationship they answer "we are not together", would you question it? It would simply be rude, in my opinion:
- So, are you together???
- No, I know people ship us on the internet, but we are actually not together.
- Oh, but REALLY???
Nah. Don't see that happening. They don't really hang out with other youtubers that much, so I don't believe they feel entitled to anybody from YT community to explain it. Just my humble opinion. PJ might know, but then others... Nah.

Do they just use two & then roll around until it becomes one? Or are they actually such fucking saps that they use the same thing? Do we know what they use from random background shots and stuff? I just have so many questions about that, because I've never known friends *or* a couple to do something that weirdly adorable.

I thought that maybe it was common knowledge amongst the youtube community at one point that they were together, maybe in 2009-2011, then as they grew in popularity they began to deny it. And now that so much time has passed everyone just accepted that they split up and are still friends. That's my theory.

On a related note: does anyone actually know anyone for real that made up ''being bisexual for attention'' in their younger years? Most of the scene kids that I knew back in the day that so-called ''made up being bisexual because it was trendy'' pretty much are all still bisexual, even though one or two of my friends ended up only dating/marrying the opposite sex. I suppose it must just seem that way to the outside world when they check a girl's Facebook status and see that she is married to a man now, so of course she must be straight.

I think I convinced myself that I was making it up so that I could feel better about it. Just as gay as I "pretended" to be, I guess. I'll just throw myself into a garbage truck now.

I also find it interesting that PJ (at least to my knowledge) has never outright denied that they were/are in a relationship, and has only said that he doesn't ship them because he ''respects them as fellow humans''. As you can tell from the video, it is a very carefully worded answer and he seems uncomfortable even touching on the subject at all. If the idea of your two friends being together was ridiculous, wouldn't it have been easier to say ''Nah my friends aren't dating and never will, stop asking, bye.''

honestly i could see them using the same one out of convenience especially on tour. my housemates have a tendency to just grab whatever bottle is closest and we toss the same can of deodorant around all the time.

PJ, on the other hand answered it very carefully. Not denying their relationship doesn't mean that there is a relationship. He carefully worded his answer just to get away from a uncomfortable topic talking about if your good friends are bangin'. I literally see his answer as "It's none of mine and your business" He's a smart guy and probably not interested in phandom at all.

About bisexuality being trendy - it was a thing (at least in my group of people), back in 2009 we were just out of school, legal and experimenting with our lives. It was "trendy" but a lot of them actually believed that they were bisexual. Anyway, after a few years it was clear who were closet hetero, closet homo and real bisexuals. We had all.

Haven't heard of the Dan denying it thing, but either way, both are perfectly reasonable if they are actually a couple. Martyn (or any good brother, for that matter) isn't going to out his brother just because someone asked him about it. Their default answer will always be no, staying silent irl is obviously going to bring in major suspicion.
