School/college exams in the UK tend to run til about the 3rd week in June...

My uni exams finished last week, not the best timing! I asked him to go back in time and release the video a month ago before they started but no response, sadly :lol:

I'm delighted for the potential of genuine Dan - missing liveshows so hard right now! - but I kind of wish he hadn't tweeted about it if he wasn't about to upload it tonight/tomorrow/the day after, I got my hopes up and am now unreasonably disappointed by the 'within the next two weeks' timeframe.

Agree. I finished my education for now so I don't care that the exam season is nearing its end and obviously I don't care about the studying tips. However, I love listening to opinionated!Dan even if I often disagree with him. He can be speaking about last year's Wimbledon for all I care, as long as he gives his honest viewpoints. Opinions run the world and make it interesting, imo.

... anyway thabks dan for giving me hope for a nice break in my final days of studying. i like a video with some substance whether it's funny or seriously helpful and he's good at both. and i don't think rebranding is going to come from the topics he covers. that's what he enjoys and what reflects his personality and his audience, even if it's a bit exaggerated. the rebranding is more in the content itself, in speaking more maturely and being more polished and open rather than a character
anyway, he's a university dropout with more successful high school grades than i could dream of. the boy's bright and can clearly work hard when he isn't doing something he hates and doesn't have a possible backup (youtube) emerging. he's more talented and successful than my university attending ass can be, drop out or not. it was a wise decision.

Maybe this is a little bit off topic but it correlates with Dan's video so here goes my opinion. Am I the only one who doesn't like these studying tips videos? I know that they can help a lot of people with their studying but I feel really anxious after watching these. I always feel that I'm doing everything wrong and have no chance to pass the exams if I don't do that or that. I know this is kinda stupid because I have my own methods of revising which are working for me but they are usually completely different from the ones youtubers share. I won't probably watch that video even though I am thirsty for new content because I think that it would give me a mental breakdown as I'm in the middle of my finals. Is there anyone with the same problem or am I alone in this world? Just asking for a friend.

If your methods work for you then you don't have to worry that they are different from the ones youtubers share. And let me tell you, I've tried to follow the pieces of advice that youtubers gave but I've never managed to do them entirely because most of the time you have to decorate your papers and notebooks so they are all pretty and it makes you want to study but, let's be real nobody has time for that (and you spend more time decorating your stuff than studying or you decorate them and it doesn't make you want to study more than usual). And ytbers don't go to school anymore so they forgot what it is like to actually pass exams so I would take their advices with a gran of salt.
