On the Other YouTubers thread we were discussing Emma's crush on Dodie, which I feel stupid for not having noticed before because it's painfully obvious in their collabs. There's a comment from Emma on this video saying: ''my god my heart eyes are SO unsubtle in this hahaha.''

honestly i wouldn't hold that thing against her at all if it wasn't bc she keeps bringing it up from time to time, if she was truly embarrassed and regretted it she would just pretend it never happened, especially after so many years have gone by and being in a situation like this where she can't properly acknowledge it without making it worse

Waiiit, Emma is not out as bi??? I'm surprised now because I watched some of her vids when I didn't know who she was to the phandom and just loved her hair. And I remember a lot of girly mentions of attraction and I think even something about her being into boys and girls but currently dating a dude?? Or at least one explicit bi mention.

I feel similarly, but I kinda liked it! It reminded me of her older stuff and it seems like she was doing her best to really be herself and not anyone else, and I appreciated that I agree with you about the editing too.

I prefer when she does those sketchy videos whether than the ones in which she tries to justify her past behaviour, like you said, she seems more genuine in this video.

I can understand their frustration a little, even though I agree that's it's still fucked-up and wrong. Charlie doesn't identify as gay, he identifies as bi/pan with a preference for guys, and has always been out and proud. Emma is not exactly ''out'' but she's never given the impression that she's straight, either, and it must have rubbed them the wrong way that Dan was trying to bury his same-sex attraction like it was something dirty and shameful.

lol yeah and by attacking him and making fun of him about it they have contributed greatly to make it look like something dirty and shameful.

also tbh I personally never felt Emma was bi. I think she is typically the type of straight girl to be ambiguous on purpose because she is edgy and cool. Maybe she has kinda a crush on Dodie but more than anything she is massively jealous of her.

It's a bit weird since she's been going on about her jealousy of Dodie for awhile (so she's been fixated on her in some way for awhile). But isn't this kind of the way it was with Dan? Being jealous and weird while at the same time copying him being inspired by him? I said earlier she would date a musician next, maybe she has set her sights on Dodie just to go straight to the source of her jealousy. Like damn, that person is really successful in all the ways I want to be, let me get my hooks into her. Which sounds really creepy, but hey.

I don't know how to feel about her songs, they're ~good but it's the kind of songs you listen to when they're on the radio. I don't see myself buying or downloading them

"oh my god, i'm in love" is it just me or is that a horrible first line of a song, also her voice sounds terrible in that song (Look What You Made Me Do) I don't know, I just don't think it's a good song at all. The chorus isn't that bad but other than that I wouldn't listen to it again.

Let Me Be started out better for me, I didn't mind it at all. The song as a whole isn't bad but I wouldn't call it good either. Ugh.

Do you guys think Emma paid a producer for all this like Trish does? Like just decided she wanted to be a musician and poured lots of money into it? Or do you think they came to her and were like "We can help you get more famous and build your fanbase, this will benefit both of us." ?

yeah you're probably right I just don't see Emma as even having enough money to buy the services of a producer but I guess youtube money will never cease to amaze me.

I have no idea, probably won't sell it out but will almost sell it out. I bet they're small venues but we'd have to look at the venue's websites to know.

Yeah I personally have no problem with her selling her music, but maybe she's trying to be like the DFTBA bunch before the whole scandal who released all their songs for free listening for fans who couldn't buy, and then let fans buy if they wanted.
