Aw I'm glad for the Aussies who will get to experience the glory that is tatinof but sad for those in the UK who might have hoped to meet D&P in the UK at SITC. It doesn't affect me as I was lucky enough to meet them this year anyways but there will be people who were desperate to see them at the only UK convention. I don't get why they'd shun that seeing as they've made sure to fit in both the American ones around the tour.LurkingTrash wrote:

re: sitc. I think it's unfortunate that D&P won't be at sitc, but on top of that I almost feel like it's not fair. Youtube conventions are not a daily occurrence and they're supposed to be great opportunities for fans to be able to see and connect with their favorite creators. I've been to Playlist a few times and VidCon once, and I feel like I probably won't end up going again simply because of how much conventions have changed with bigger youtubers not going to them anymore. The lineup at sitc this year is honestly pretty bad and that's unfair to the fans in the UK who wanted to be able to see their favorites. I know this isn't just about D&P but I think D&P are contributing to this problem of bigger youtubers not attending these events and encouraging youtubers to skip out on conventions. It's not fair to the fans who wanted a chance at meeting them. it's not fair to the fans who have counted on sitc each year to be able to go and at least try to meet them. I've been reading through the Twitter tag about it tonight and I genuinely feel sorry for the British fans, some of who have been waiting years to be allowed to go to SITC and now can finally go but their favourites aren't going to be there. The m&gs for tatinof last year were hard to come by so people thought they'd be able to do so at SITC. Like I said, I am totally excited for those fans who never get to see them in other countries as tatinof is an amazing experience. Honestly I agree, it's really a huge let down to those fans who were almost counting on SITC. What you said at the end there is what makes me the most angry. This reminds me of when the gleam team made their own event. i just can't help but feel like not attending SITC is selfish and greedy. I definitely am glad that the rest of the world gets a chance to meet them. In fact I have a close internet friend I used to run a blog with who lives in Australia and I was happy to share the news of TATINOF coming to her this morning. I wouldn't trade worldwide TATINOF for sitc for that reason. But I do think that D&P should say something about being sorry they can't go to SITC or perhaps even saying that they'll go next year. Although the UK itself has lots of chances to meet D&P there are still people there who haven't gotten the chance to meet them and those are the people who it's not fair to. Not every UK fan has been lucky enough to meet them yet. No matter what they do, somebody is going to complain it doesn't suit them (for instance, I'm still and forever will be upset they skipped 95% of Canada and will probably never return, yet here they are planning multiple stops in Australia and who knows where else). People in the UK can wait another fucking year to let them get this world tour over with my god.
