If we can go meta with the conspiracy theories for a moment, I'm under the impression the mod asked themselves that question after lurking or maybe even posting here and getting called out. Just a thought.bedhead91 wrote:http://stopphanproofing.tumblr.com/post ... dicated-to

Dan & Phil Part 16: Old, Hungover, and Probably High
Thanks and have a great day! Oil me
I was going to carry this over into private messages bc I don’t want to drag this out nor do I want to seem like I’m publicly attacking you, eevee. But since it’s a subject that evidently matters a lot to me, and since i've received a few PMs expressing support from other users, I’ll finish up my thoughts here under a cut. anyone who's bored of this conversation, please feel free to skip on by!

I'm just writing this because I feel responsible for the backlash that eevee's post about her experience at Playlist has caused (as it was me who asked her to talk about the situation a few pages back). So, first of all, thanks eevee for sharing your experience, I enjoyed reading it
I, for one, think many of you are taking things a bit far. I don't think Dan and Phil owe their fans anything either (we totally agree here, and no one has suggested otherwise actually) but it would have been nice of them (assuming they were not in a hurry, which we'll simply never know). As simple as that. Did they have the obligation? Of course not. Would it have been nice of them? Yes. (Again, assuming they were not in a hurry, which I admit we'll never know).
I know they do the meet and greets, but this is not exactly the same as just being nice to fans imo, as it's business, they are getting paid for it. Of course they are nice to fans in this situations, but I think there is a slight difference caused by the fact that they are being paid for it. When D and P announced the tour, I remember there was a lot of backlash because of the meet and greets and how this was unfair to fans. We really are well-trained lab rats, as today it seems paying 100 euros for meeting two 'normal guys' is the norm.

Why is it the first time I watch this precious video? Reminded me a lot of this:akui wrote:I guess what that Nicole something girl said last year really offended Dan, so he is still on his Phil defense squad mode.ironic wrote:I've been waiting for this, thank youfelucca wrote:^ ironic it's kind of ironic (...)![]()
I have no idea what does Starbucks's pumpkin spice latte taste like, I need to step up my game I guess.Maybe I'll just bake the cookies, though. That's a good reason to rewatch D&P's video.

That's true, the stalker that he is won't let Phil go that easily.

I already complain when it's 30°. I would not be able to handle 43°. Just thinking about it makes me exhausted.NarrysCanary wrote:43° this is so hot, poor themTicia wrote: At least it's not breakfast food

They don't get paid at playlist though, do they? The difference between a controlled meet up and meeting them in the wild (lol) is that the m&gs are organized and "safe" and youtubers are prepared for the interaction.annetamiau wrote:I know they do the meet and greets, but this is not exactly the same as just being nice to fans imo, as it's business, they are getting paid for it. Unfortunately, organizing that costs money, so it can't be free for the fans. I just wanted to say that this is not about them getting paid versus having to meet people for free, at least for me.
And off topic: Do they really get much money for just the m&gs at the tour? If we subtract the front row seats and the merch goodie bags from the VIP prices, how much is left that's just paid for meeting them?

^^^ ugh what a cute candid shot of Daniel! At least he isn't wearing the jumper!
I complain when it is 23 degrees so I wouldn't be able cope with double that! I hope the theatre has good air conditioning!SquishPhan wrote:I already complain when it's 30°. He does look very cute, but then again Phil takes the best pictures of Dan, so I'm not surprised. Also not surprised that Dan is still wearing all black, even though it's a stupid thing to do imo.NarrysCanary wrote:He does look cute, but why the hell is he torturing himself like that ?fancy_nancy wrote:how cute does Dan look?
But I imagine that the theatre has good air conditioning.

Looks like he just finished saying, "Alright Phil, just take the picture."
43'C is my hot shower, but to be fair I wear black everyday even in my humid mid 30s, what is important air-conditioning at all times
I think Phil will suffer more as the heat will trigger his migraine if he does not avoid it.

First, omg, i live for pictures like that.Ticia wrote:Right now I'm contemplating the possibility of Dan not having any other colour of clothing #SaveDanyul2k16NarrysCanary wrote:He does look cute, but why the hell is he torturing himself like that ?
Second, oh, come on, i have the same problem like Dan (ok, maybe i have some grey, navy blue and white colour in my closet). I hate Summer and sun, but in Summer you get just used to it. There is no other option since half of your clothes are black.
(and i like to wear sweaters in summer too, we both need help)
Sorry for my english.

At least he is finally wearing short sleeves. And that picture is adorable. He looks so small. I live for candids.
