OK, pet peeve time: can we stop using the adjective "proud" to describe our admiration for D&P? First of all, unless you a close relative (or associate,) you cannot be technically be "proud" of the boys. Using "proud" kinda signals the extreme youth of the speaker (probably because their parents overuse the word when referring to them.) When Colleen got picked up by Netflix (and Connor Frantas' book slammed the bestseller list,) their fandoms seriously overused the term, so much so it became toxic to my ears. Yea, I'm being a d*ck, but the term i just so cliche now... /rant

I don't know what other people feel so I choose not to speak for them. Personally, I don't feel proud of D+P, though I do feel satisfied when they get recognition through good reviews and such, but that isn't pride. Then again I also don't feel extremely attached to them (tho I admire Dan) and mostly watch them for the entertainment it provides me. Maybe its the way that people pass what may seem like emotional boundaries that confuses you. I'm used to it though through perusing fandoms.

From the photos of them in the coloured shirts, they're not as tired as the previous day. First thing I saw on Twitter just now was a hashtag of whyisphilcrying and they both look wiped and not so happy in the M&G photos, even when they're making a big effort to do a pose or face you can see it, but they still do it all. Good thing they scheduled in all the break days along the way. I can understand them feeling that they've been sharing enough, though party photos would still be nice. I wanna see the full outfit with Phil's fancy shoes. Almost feels like it might not have happened, they've kept it so private.

The green room at Vidcon is better than others cos Hank Green and committee take feedback and action, and a few years ago the feedback was something like the YouTubers having to stay there felt they had nothing to do but hang around between scheduled things.

Re "pride" we could be pedantic about variour words that have changed usage over time, but that's how language works, things pass into common usage and take on a new meaning. I don't go in for Oxford commas at all because the extra comma in the previous thread title was before an and, so not needed at all in a list (in British punctuation vs American) and in some examples the correct usage is actually a semi-colon, but thousands of writers are adamant about them. And semi-colons are seen as prissy these days because commas have become the norm for some of how they were used.

The Zzz video is the cutest. Phil in PJs saying "bedtime" is adorable.

Thoughts on the alternate ending:

So it might sound more exaggerated if you're only listening to the audio since they were in stage mode but actually watching the scene felt about as cringe as the other version. Phil was playing the "just go along with it" attitude while Dan, of course played the skeptical/what-is-my-life side.

Having seen the other version twice already ( ) watching it didn't feel any more bait-y than the other version (cowboy-camping-french girl).

What happened during the missing transcript piece:

Y'all have seen Phil try to do anything to people's face's (see: makeup challenge videos) imagine that but with a piece of frosted cake in his hand.

have to second got in with the free ticket for the 2:30 show dan tweeted about, and the ending really was wild. so much yelling. only redeeming thing was seeing cake fly off the dear boy, what a sight. i honestly felt bad for whoever was going to clean up right when it happened so much cherry everywhere

don't know if this was mentioned but with the free tickets i got they were legit pretty terrible, and when i showed up a lady actually put us in a line and gave us new seats on the house floor. our seats were actually very good, ballpark $60. honestly the top two balconies were empty from what i could see and there were still seats on the stage floor. basically $10 of just fees never felt so good.

[offtopic]the jedward cringe was so last thread but i actually ran into them afterwards and got to sit and talk with them for like 5 minutes and surprisingly not that cringe in person?? they did talk about meeting dodie clark and about some party they were invited to but seemed really interested in the fact my friend had industry connections they even did a meetup in front of the mariott this afternoon they obv didn't have passes... also want the un-irnonic jedward fan accounts to stop following me from the pics... forget it they were cringe.[/offtopic]

I opened up this thread with no idea what the title was about, and wow that ending. Wow. Just as cringeygood as the Cowboys/camping one but I am sad I missed seeing Phil wedding-cake Dan in the face.

I'm so surprised Cat wasn't there! But I agree with someone earlier, we have no idea why honestly and we can't judge her for it.
