I wanted to also note how interesting it was to hear Dan talk about not caring too much what people think of your content in the panel. "You really have a creative honesty when you don't think about it too much." When was the last time he did that? "How to Survive Exams"? Has he grown up since his self-imposed quality threshold? I don't know where I'm going with this but it's just interesting. I wonder if he was just being inspirational for the panel or if he's making efforts to care less.

Generally I liked the panel, the moderator was adequate and chill. were both nice, I loved the new info and some genuine answers (mainly from Phil, though I didn't mind Dan being his on-brand trash self too much). Though they literally only discussed people's first videos, I expected them to go at least a little bit deeper/elaborate how it changed over the time. The conclusion of the panel that I made is it does not matter what your first video was/how it was made.

The 2nd snapchat context is confusing.. I'm not a native speaker, but could Dan be saying "bird noise(s)", not "nose"? It does not make much sense either way..

I was thinking that too, what Dan said in the panel translated to me as "I can make whatever video I want and people will still watch it over and over again" which is 100% true, but not something he should really be saying? And yeah, How to Survive Exams is totally NOT "not caring what people think and making videos i want to make." like come on. That whole conversation in the panel and everything Dan said basically made no sense in regards to how he actually acts? He makes videos that he wants to get popular yet he says he's making videos for himself? ???

I liked the panel overall as well except the guy in the blue shirt kinda irked me, the one on the far right. I guess that's not relevant.

I agree, I expected them to go a little bit further as well but they just asked a huge series of questions that were basically asking the same thing, tell me about your first video. tell me about it again. tell me more about it. how did you edit it. why did you make it. tell me about it.

But Jenna being on it was a huge treat for me because I totally respect her and love her content!

second panel was a lot more fun!! i didn't have the greatest seats though (11 back to the left) bc i was at the other panel my camera died too and i didn't get a full video or anything, just bits and pieces. oh well. it was a fun three days :")

re the snap, i agree that the tone he uses sounds kind of like he's quoting someone, maybe a fan?, but that doesn't make much sense in context of him complaining about something?? but maybe he just said it very casually?? in a couple-that's-been-together-for-a-thousand-years way?? idk i wish we could know what he said afterwards (but you can bet I'm still gonna save this clip as the trash can i am)

Yeah I'm a bit annoyed that the girl decided to record their private conversation... inwould be freaking out if I was her but I wouldn't dare record it. I'm still so curious about the context... What if someone at a M&G made fun of Phil's nose, and Dan decided to "complain" about it and the fan reacted? Unlikely but I'm trying to think of all the possibilities

Uh yeah I agree with the people saying Dan just sounds like he's quoting or repeating what someone said (maybe a fan said it to Phil and Dan complained afterward within earshot).

This would be one of my guesses. Perhaps a fan loudly declared something not so nice about Phil's nose and Dan overheard them and said something about it which they overheard lol. Maybe the whole "I love you and your bird nose" is him being sarcastic and mocking them for their apologetic reaction once they saw Dan had heard them?

Or, maybe the fan had brought something to them or requested something of them during the M&G which Dan found to be rude and he said something about it. Maybe the fan was recording their M&G and asked Dan to say that to Phil about his nose, Dan said no/complained that it was disrespectful and that's what the manager meant when she said it's been caught. As in caught on camera.

I don't think Dan would've actually been complaining about Phil's nose or a anyone's nose in a rude way. His "I love you and your bird nose" sounded like a quote/sarcastic recap of sorts.

Maybe someone "caught" dan saying that to Phil for some reason? Maybe tried to record it or something so he complained? Then he jokingly repeated himself when he was explaining what happened? I don't even know..so many questions but I doubt they'll ever be answered if it was actually Dan saying that to Phil for some reason (although he did sound sarcastic-ish in the video)
It probably had something to do with a fan though, maybe a fan asked him to say it (hence the "oh my god" offended tone) ?

Or maybe we're reading his sarcasm wrong and he felt just felt like announcing his love for Phil and his "bird nose" in the middle of the conversation

And the way the girl's eyes widened when "I love you" was said
