Leaving My Lurker Days

Hi!

I've been a lurker for a year and a half, but today I decided to emerge from the shadows. I'm 25, from the US, and haven't used a forum since the Nerdfighter forums in about 2008. I've been watching Dan and Phil since 2012 after I saw approximately this on Tumblr from PINOF 4:

and basically my embarrassing 21 year old self's reaction was like " Who. is. That." Then when I found out, my second to last semester of college was ruined. My first video of Dan's was the original Internet Support Group and my first Phil video was My American Accent. I've been ever since.

So hi again. I'll be around

Definitely the same situation! I was planning/writing my dissertation around the time I started watching them. I think I even have pictures of my (then) kitten surrounded by reference books while one of Phil's videos played on my computer.

It's easy to do because you are like 'ahh I'll just have a 5 minute YouTube break~' and then 5 turns into 20 and then you're in trouble

And then that turns into stalking this forum...stalking the stalkers - stalkception

ugh yes to all of that ^^^. And I feel like the biggest stalker of them all thinking of it like that, just like quietly reading through every single post on the other forum and on here without saying word. Feels a bit like eavesdropping.

Welcome to delurking! I'm glad I found them after college... I do not envy those still trying to learn things after discovering deppy (and this place). Welcome to the trash can, hope you don't get too buried in the refuse!
