I agree with you internetakeover on the possible reason for the haircut but still don't like it.
Wherever they are while they look good phil seems tired to me (maybe for the early rise or he planed to sleep on the plane?). Also now that they are not filming for the doc can we hope for a ditl, pretty please with a cherry on top.

ngl I'd be pretty excited about them possibly doing one liveshow in my timezone for probably the first and last time in my life. for ONCE it won't be 2/3/5am and i won't miss the initial discussion and have to hope someone has uploaded it the next day. which feels even more precarious nowadays with the paid playbacks...

does the tumblr stream feature have playback? and if so has anyone tested it? (sorry don't have a tumblr)

i'm also allowing for the possibility they just won't feel like it, so my expectations aren't completely crushed.

shallow opinion: the shaved sides look great on both of them when the rest of their hair is fuller/thicker/mostly untouched. it's all about balance, man.

That's true. Internet in Australia is notoriously awful. Still, I'm optimistically hoping for either a ditl (pls guys) or a ls. I'll try to brace myself for the worst (no vids, or only a couple of prerecorded ones) to save sanity, though. Low expectations is the phangirl life

I think the shaved sides look ok from Dan's "usual" side but on the other side his fringe ends so sharply in contrast with the shaved sides that it just looks weird. A few people mentioned this particular live show where it looks pretty terrible but I'm trying to imagine how he would look if his fringe were pushed up and...yes... ... hmmm?

A few people mentioned this particular live show where it looks pretty terrible but I'm trying to imagine how he would look if his fringe were pushed up and...yes... ... hmmm?

I could actually see the argument for shaved sides looking good with a quiff or just the fringe pushed back, but yeah - the view from the pointy fringe side just makes the shaved sides look bad to me.

#teamshavedsides. They rule. Lbr, he cannot really get away with the cut from 2012 - he's 25 years old, a fully grown adult with adult responsibilities and a career to develop (some sociologists mark year 25 as the entry point into adulthood.) The shaved side cut is still a bit edgy, but it looks good on him as long as they don't shave them too closely. Plus the style is easier to maintain particularly because his natural hair state is a bit wavy (rack that up to personal experience.)

Flight: Interest choice with Cathy Pacific. The overall flight through Hong Kong is a couple hours longer, but Cathy is an awesome airline. And maybe they're doing a stopover for a day or two in HK?

#true irrelevant facts: i once went on a date with a girl i worked with that i didn't know was a date (whoops), who dated Ruby briefly in their younger years. she had no gossip or opinion on her, annoyingly. (lol)

oh yeah, Shaved Sides side-view is terrrrible. i had indeed forgotten. which is sad, because i love left-side face, and this makes me think he'll try even harder (is that possible?!) to only show the right side of the moon.

HK visit! cute. definitely not a normal layover (you don't generally need to get a hotel over night, a few hours is the deal) so i'm happy for them they're getting to see a few more things and extend this work trip into a mini vacay. though predictably my maternal mind is muttering about the smoggy air and Dan's sick lungs...

edit: Dan is wearing the same tshirt, but Phil has put on his 'good shirt'. unlikely that he's chilly, HK is 32c (90F) right now at 9pm. are they/were they having a nice dinner somewhere (air-conditioned?)

These shaved sides are I don't think I will ever grow to love them.

How long is someone normally super jetlagged before they get used to such a time difference? Like, when will deppy be fully acclimated to Australian time zone or will they not have the chance to be?

To be fair, he's been to all 3 places more than once in the past 18 months, and it does look similar to Doha/Dubai (in that fuckloads of skyscrapers clustered all together kind of way!)

Just delurking to say that I'm glad that they're having a stayover here in HK! However it's not a particularly great time to visit in summer cuz it's incredilbly hot and moist Just standing outside for a few minutes today makes me sweat all over anyway hope they enjoy their stay here and I get a chance to bump into them
