Looks like people did in fact meet D&P at the airport (perhaps? looks like an airport to me) but not as many as in HK

I'm really glad it's not as manic as HK, although tbh that's probably mostly just because it's like midnight on a weekday

Also fancybum I agree there probably won't be as bad of a drought between the gaming vids mentioned and M&G photos and stuff as well, but tbh as liveshows and radio shows are my favourite content of theirs this whole summer has felt pretty rough. I'm kind of looking forward to the whole thing to being over so we can get back to 'normal'.

I hope things get back to normal soon too, I miss the "kinda regurlar" posting in the gaming channel, at first when they announced it I was like "another youtubers with gaming channels" but then I loved it. And I also miss the radio show.

I thought exactly the same when I saw this tweet!! It's got over a million views already though, so not low on views the only thing I can think of is that maybe they're trying to plug the tickets for the Aus shows?

Yes imo they are trying to sell the tickets, how did the shows sold? I mean also the afternoon ones as they are the ones that were announced last minute.
They probably want to avoid to make another promotional video. Now that I saw the gifts that they received it made me remember how for the usa tour they insisted on no gifts , does it apply also here?

p.s.: now tyler doesn't do the august collabs (=no dan+tyler collab)

Yes, they'll survive, yes, it's a public space, but to me waiting at check-in IS the same as hanging out at their door/hotel/whatever. - Somewhere they knew in advance D&P were going to have to be, and no alternative. The only difference being they’re 10 times as likely to be arrested/detained, cos airport.
Massive difference to those who saw them out and about in the city.

This is the biggest part for me about why airport "meetups" make me so nervous/cringey. This is not them running into D&P at Starbucks or on the street this is them doing detective work to find out when/where they'll be at the airport and following through with intercepting them to force a meetup happen. "Can you believe I met Dan & Phil?" yes I can because you found out when they were going to be somewhere and you went there.

No this is not new, going to see celebs has been around since the invention of mass media, but it doesn't make it any less unacceptable, imho. It's an ambush when they aren't expecting one and that's not cool.

Yeah I also think it's their way to promote the tour, but in a more subtle way. The video itself is doing really well view wise, so it isn't because of that.

it's very usual but it's just something we rarely see deppy do, I was confused too when I saw the tweet because I wasn't expecting anything else about the new video but I agree with people saying it's to promote the tickets.

I agree with everyone about the airport situation. I wish they wouldn't but, I do understand why these kids did it. I cannot say with certainty that when I was young I would not of done the same thing tbh.

What I really don't like is the accounts that give Dan and Phil's information away. i am sure no one means any harm but at least people need to think before they post. "Is this the best idea to share this info at this time" I am just glad that everything went fine and again, just goes to show what amazing people Dan and Phil are by the way they responded.

He said a couple of weeks-a month. Although I am now re-doing basic calculations in my head and there is a little more time than I thought. (good job me) How long before the US and AUS tours did they announce the dates though?

I don't know how much of a detective work is when (like I said a few pages back) it only takes you 2 minutes of google search to find out when they're leaving. Nevertheless it is still wrong.

Also, yeah, I checked the tour website and out of 10 dates, only 4 are sold out (including the nearest one on the 12th) so I guess it is worth a tweet of the video again taking in consideration how well the video is doing already.

Funny that they're both there at the same time! Troye had a show here in Phoenix on the same day TATINOF was, but it didn't seem like they saw each other. Probably because spent as little time here as possible (no idea how long Troye was here).
