Hate to be the cynical one here, but honestly, I'm pretty sure he's only doing this to troll everyone. His hair became so curly because of the humidity in Hong Kong and everyone was flipping out about it so why not add fuel to the fire? Or it could just be a good hair day for him, who knows. well... quite a few youtubers replied to him saying that he should, esp Anthony who Dan seems to consider a bit more. That may give him a push in the right direction, maybe not 100% change but he might start to wear it more often. Anyway, glad he's starting to like the hair more.

I second that! Personally, I am actually really interested on how he got his hair like that. I'm a fellow curly-haired person, and if my hair does that wavy-thing Dan's got going on, it's for one of two reasons: I either haven't washed my hair for days and I brushed it (gross), or I went to bed with wet hair (and prevented the side I'm laying on from drying properly). I don't really see how the second one could be an option, though, because all of Dan's hair is on the top of his head

I've been in full on lurk mode thanks to Radiohead/family/new beautiful humans occupying all my time for the past few weeks, but hobbit Daniel is enough to de-lurk for, for a moment, at least.

• Add me to the list of people who want to see the other side of the head. I actually think it would look better because the line between fringe & clipped sides would be less extreme with some little curls flowing. I want to see it, Daniel. I need to see it.
• I know full well that there's pretty much zero chance of this becoming a permanent hairstyle choice for our Daniel, for many reasons. I'll share one reason: as someone with moderately curly/wavy/confused as fuck hair, my hair looks fucking great when I let it do it's thing right after a haircut... but it becomes a mess like two weeks later so I give up & just start the ponytail life all over again.
• Whomever brought it up earlier, #shavedhobbit is my literal dream. I don't even care how inappropriate it sounds... I NEED IT IN MY LIFE. achika & I might talk about it far too much.
• I'm sorry, but that hoodie is a piece of shit. I have no issue with Daniel spending far too much on clothing... I embrace Daniel adorning himself with all the McQueen & Givenchy his little heart desires, I'm even moderately ok with the Kanye sack... but this is just some overpriced Hot Topic bullshit that needs to be burned. In fact, I wouldn't even be ok with it if he indeed had purchased it out of the sale bin at Hot Topic for $5. It's just fucking hideous. Daniel, we usually have such similar tastes, but you've lost me here. (disclaimer: I am prone to hyperbole)

I think *au naturale* will appear in the wild more often as he becomes more comfortable with the style, and the DINOF / D&P brand becomes less reliant on the shared straight fringe. This is not to say I like one style over the other - I like both, but I'm drawn to the *idea* of the casualness of wavy hair, with shorter sides. It certainly is an easier daily style.

I think he broke his 6+, and is waiting for the 7 to be released later this fall. He may also have repaired his 6+ and uses it exclusively for personal comms, and dedicating the 5 for business / youtube, insta, etc? IDK, but I find my 6+ just a little too big to jam into my front pocket (which is one reason why I wear cargo shorts almost year-round,) and thumb typing even though my hands are pretty big. The smaller 5 was easier to use one-handed.
