Sorry this is off topic but I just noticed something (that some of you may or may not have been aware of before me you probably already know and have discussed so sorry in advance)

So I've been doing some sketching and doodling tonight and put on some of D&Ps videos on in the background. Cringe Attack came on, and because I was sort of distracted and not really watching that closely, at the 'stealing the pokemon card' sketch of the video, I heard the route 1 music from the games in the background, which in itself I don't remember being in the video before. So I looked up and the whole scene was greyscale with a sort of blur effect around the edges. And i swear for the life of me I don't remember it being like that before? I thought it was full colour?

I mean there are memes taken from that point in the video which are in colour -

And this is how the same part looked when I just watched it -

Nothing very groundbreaking (sorry to disappoint) but it just got me wondering:
a) at what point did Dan make this edit?
b)It must have been at least a year after he posted it to make the change, given that I've watched this video a few times over the years since its upload - so why would Dan suddenly change an old video? Maybe he was just bored and had an idea but if this has been discussed before can someone please enlighten me?

ahh, I love tests like that. I think this was discussed before, Phil mentioned in a ls which type he was but couldn't really remember. (I forgot, of course, which ls and stuff, bad at it)
I think your suggestions for them could be possible.
But I'm not sure about that test. I took it and got INFP-T (Mediator) but I feel more like a ISFJ (Defender).
Though some points are accurate at the INFP-T, maybe I just don't know myself, who knows.

edit: wow, the english version is much deeper and has so much more information than the short, german version of the test. (the test is the same, but the results are quite short in the german version.)
now I've read the whole of it, I like it even more! Mediator is pretty accurate for me.
I'd love to know D+P's exact results!

And it seems exactly the same to me (but, I did notice the thumbnail of the video is a screenshot of the b&w scene but in color, so maybe that's where you got the idea it was in color and not b&w?

I don't think it's possible to edit videos after they've been uploaded, and the ripped version being the same also suggests it wasn't changed, unless he changed it less than 2 days after upload.

Maybe we're being confused because all the other sketch scenes are in colour. If all the sketches were black and white, you might remember that the sketches were black and white. But when all the other sketches are in colour, by the end of the video you've forgotten that the first one was black and white, so that detail isn't stored in your long-term memory. Then you come back to it years later, see the first sketch and you're like "wait why are the sketches black and white I don't remember that!".

That's an entirely possible explanation for why we remember it differently, but I do think it's possible to edit videos after you upload them. I've heard youtubers mention going back in to blur something after an upload. I think I actually remember it being in black and white because I remember it as a "stereotypical black and white flashback" scene. I think anathema is correct in that because the thumbnail is in colour, some people thought that scene in the vid was in colour too?

It is possible to edit videos after uploading them (without having to reupload), but idk the extent to how much you can edit though (or if everyone has that luxury).

I'm an INTP too! And yeah I actually studied human memory quite a bit in uni, and I think a lot of "mandela effects" can be explained by the fact that we don't know how bad our memories are lol I'm sure we all just never noticed it until it was pointed out. I just had a nice little wtf moment when it was mentioned haha

Talking about bad memory, I haven't watch Cringe Attack for months / years so I am not sure whether the sketch is black & white or coloured but I agree with whoever said that we might be confused from all the other sketches Dan made. But Mandela effects sounds pretty cool too. Haha.
