But all I can think about is the time my boyfriend and I got a bit too into *ahem* celebrating, and I had to meet his family the next day, so spent the entire time with a scarf around my neck

I tend to rewatch the gaming channel videos more than their solo content, just for the easy bants between them. If I'm rewatching either of their solo videos, it's usually to have on in the background while I'm doing something else. Having said that, their old videos, especially old school Phil give me so much nostalgia, as I've (embarrassingly) been watching Phil since early 2009, and Dan since his first video so I do like going back and watching those every now and then

That is a lovely photo. Such a poser, I can't help but think a similar one by a nude sculpture would be funny.

I rewatch both their solo content probably about as often as the gaming videos, maybe more. Sometimes I want to laugh and watch Dan, other times I'm in a cosy mood so watch Phil.

[offtopic]do you guys prefer the gaming channel or their individual content? i find myself rewatching gaming videos and some of phils videos, like DITL or the Sleepless Night With Phil etc, but only very rarely will i rewatch dans. like i find them funny the first time, but rewatching doesn't really do anything for me. idk.

I wouldn't say I prefer either, I just have certain types of videos that I tend to rewatch a lot: The baking videos (my favourite series of them), the PINOFs, Undertale (great background videos while cooking/baking), ISG, The Donkey Kong series and the DITL videos. And then there are particular individual videos I always come back to, like "Our Awkward Fancy Meal" or "Dreams of the Future" (gotta love collabs with Louise and fetus Phil)
Generally, I'm always way more excited when they upload a video with both of them in it, so technically I should prefer the gaming channel, but I don't know. I'm just not a gamer (sadly) and their gaming channel is the only one I watch.

Late as always but finally I have some time to review tatinof + documentary, and I'm ready for the group watch tomorrow.....

I'm happy that I avoided quite well a ton of spoilers, cos I was pleasently surprised at how good the show was, and I'm pretty sure that it was even better live (still salty about the european tour here).
Hands down to deppy and all the people involved!

I had no clue about the story behind the microwave as the main stage design piece, and even if the idea was a bit silly it worked perfectly for them.

Thumbs up for:

"the internet is here", as many of you already said it was the best part of show. Dan was totally into the song and dance, and even if we know that Phil is not the most coordinated person he was good too.

the stage designer, the set and all the props were on point. As somebody mentions, it was like being inside their laptop/house/brain.

magician Phil: I was ready for some fails there, you know to stay on brand with the clumsyness, but instead he was really good! (Dan's commentary was not necessary IMO)

Thumbs down for:

-Dil's head...terrifying...

-Dan overacting, especially at the beginning. Probably it was my perception watching the show from home, I feel like live it was ok because the overacting was mostly directed to the audience.

-the lighting in some part of the show, like when they enter with trolleys full of crafts, where was the light on the trolleys?

-some parts were really cringe worthy, like old dan and phil twerking, I had the tempetation to skip but I wanted to appreciate all the work, even the cringy bits...aint't I good fan?

DOCUMENTARY

I liked the docu, even if a bit short...
I was expecting more "following" of them preparing the show and not just been sitted on stool explaining (maybe some more footage with voiceover would have worked)...but as Dan said, they didn't know if there was going to be a documentary when they started rehearsing so it's
ok...
Plus I'm a sucker for travel vlogs, so I had this dream about seeing them travelling for real also considering the promo pics, but it was more of a behind the scene/explanation of the show. At least we've seen the bus!

About the #busgate, It was entertaining to read all the different opinions but I know that nothing was going to be revealed...
At the rock-paper-scissor moment I was like "ok....do whatever you want....I don't care anymore..." but I'm still trash...

To end...I'm more of a Phil-girl, so as many of you pointed-out I was happy that Phil was a bit of a show stealer in the documentary...

I do think I rewatch the gaming vids most often, followed closely by Phil's videos. I rarely rewatch Dan's ones, and the ones I do almost always have Phil in them.

There were questions a few pages back and no one's said it, so...

On not Hollywood/London documentary location:

The shot outside the diner establishes that they're in Nashville, TN. There's a lot of shots of TPAC as well, including the huge dressing room with the couches, so they apparently did a lot of professional filming there.

This time frame matches the earlier detective investigation of the calendar by the cereal pouring (the show was May 24), so it's likely the breakfast/wakeup scene was the same day as the diner.

These road shots are also Nashville area (615 area code billboard):


I'm just going to guess the red-white-blue jacket shots from the show were here as well since they only changed them at Dolby and it would make sense if they were doing lots of filming at once.

Also agree with many previous comments that it was better live, but more than anything, I'm happy to finally know all of the official lyrics.

Not personally offended by busgate no matter their personal status. All I know is, if people are this emotional over it, it's just further adding to the barriers of them ever making a definitive statement.

Today we are at this theater looking at props. The disjointedness of the documentary really annoyed me. I get that the set and props and such were rebuilt and maybe slightly different at different venues but I want those details because im a neeeeeeerd!

About the two hotel rooms: Honestly I feel like management or whoever books their rooms for them probably just thought they should get two. Like unless dan and phil went out of their way to go to management and be like "we wanna sleep together dont bother booking us two rooms" idk...like i feel like the two room thing isn't their doing. yes it was their doing to show it to us though so that's a separate story. But Phil was in Dan's room anyway, so maybe he just stayed there lol. idk but i guess my point is that they probably didnt ask for separate rooms, i think the default would probably be to give them separate rooms unless they made it clear they wanted one room. what do you guys think
