Seems like there won't be a joint live show tomorrow. Excited about Saturday though.

Cancer is a huge dark spot in my family's history (thanks genes) and one I'm afraid of myself (again, thanks genes) so this struck me hard in the heart
I love this song so much, it's so true. I'd be so lost without the internet.

Love is forever

I made it through 50 seconds before the cringe got too bad, go me
After that I just muted it and played something else over it, which brought the whole thing to another level. I kinda wanna play all kinds of songs over it to see what fits best :') I liked the recording studio parts because they kept looking and smiling at each other
And holy shit we're so blessed seeing Phil in black twice in one day like BURN ALL THE COLORS IN HIS WARDROBE.

Aw I love them so much! What a nice surprise to wake up to. I have so much love for them rn, I was very much over tatinof but this alone makes me so happy that it exists and that they are using its success for such a nice cause.
I agree that it is kinda cringe and their singing is not the best but I had the biggest smile whilst I was listening to it and the two vids are just lovely
Also this tweet gives me life

I can't believe I finally predicted something correctlyfrkin-zazzed wrote:My initial thought when I saw the insta pic was that they'd be releasing a recorded version of the internet is here, possibly with the proceeds going to stand up to cancer, seeing as Dan went on that rant about not wanting to take our money for the diss track
Seriously though, I'm so proud of these boys, theyve really done something good here. I was so happy waking up this morning seeing that 100% of the profits went to sutc. They're such sweeties honestly.
The music video is great, I get filled with such overwhelming pride(?) and happiness whenever I see footage of Dan singing and dancing on stage #GetDanInAMusical. The little clips of them dancing along in the studio were adorable, and I appreciated the artsy shots of them sat around between takes as well
Re: theatre night: it's so nice that they went to see their musical director's new show (as I assume that's what it is). I don't know why you're all hating on Dan's starkiller base themed thermal shirt, it's one of my faves of his phil looks so started in that first pic, but he looks so good in monochrome. Can he and Dan swap branding please?
EDIT:
#Confirmed it's not going to be available through streaming sites (idk if anyone else has posted this but ye)

warning this post is +
in the last verse, they pause before singing "mate" i.e. "when you've got lots of followers, who needs a real … mate"—almost as if they wanted to say something else?
(I mean obviously they wouldn't actually do that but let me imagine ok)
also cheeky self-promotion

De-lurking to say that I'm massively proud of Dan and Phil.
It takes a lot of guts to put yourself out there in a genre that isn't your own. Like neither one of them is a professional singer and yet here they are. I mean it's not that long ago when Dan especially seemed really self-aware/self-conscious and now they're brave enough to show their lovely and peculiar show in front of the whole world AND outside youtube. And it's for charity. I'm going to join the long line of people who've said that they feel like they've stanned the right people because honestly. They could have made a fortune if they wanted to but instead they did this.

Okay, so I actually feel kind of bad because I'm apparently for once the only person in this boat.
I'm not a person to cringe often. I very rarely cringe at all, really, and even if I do find things a bit cringey I have no problem getting through them.
But this. Made me cringe. So. Hard. I had to keep pausing it and regaining myself every 5 seconds. I thought that would be the popular reaction considering how many people found Tatinof itself cringey, but I'm also happy everyone is enjoying it. I too am sincerely proud and very happy for them. Cringing really hard, but happy.
I have the audio of the live version saved, and honestly I like it so much better. Of course it's less polished but there's so much more energy? But that's probably just because I'm used to it and it's weird to not hear cheers and claps and instead very clearly recorded vocals.
Still, good for them though. Blow up those charts, boys. Get that charity money--we need it.
Also, I have YTR right now, is there any way I can get the videos to work offline/save them somehow? PM me, maybe?
I'm taking back what I said earlier. Yes, I still can't just listen to it without cringing, but watching the music video while hearing the song, made the cringe go away completely and I just enjoyed looking at them while they were singing. I also bought it after hearing it was for SU2C. Not thought I'd say this, but I will watch the music video again. I'm just so proud of these two dorks. I love them with all my heart

Yay Deppy can be great when they want to, such a nice thing for a good cause.
Did they push the release of YTR stuff to release the song in time for the STUC event? Interesting that both videos are on Dan's main and side channels, and none on Phil's? Yet Phil tweeted out the music video on danisnotonfire? Completely merged lol.
All the footage from the recording studio is very very cute. Their singing is okay (as if I understood anything in music), but they definitely could rely on their voices a bit more and sing louder and in a more confident manner (imo).
I think Dan enjoyed saying "Dan and Phil single", "Dan and Phil music video", "Dan and Phil stage show" way too much haha, living his rock star dreams.
In this vid at 4.45 Phil says "Dan and Phil" in his radio voice and I had a bit of meltdown.
