Offtopic, but today I decided to scroll on Dan's tumblr archive (?? i don't usually go on tumblr) to the very beginning. Here are things I noticed.

-Dan reblogged a lot more attractive women around 2012-2014 while now he rebloggs more attractive men (2015-2016). In 2011, he reblogged both, though towards the end of the year mostly women.In my opinion, that says a lot.
-His two first posts were bears.
-He usually has a few days to a few weeks of depressing things on his blog every few months.
-He has a mixture of reblogs that were relationship centric and 'omg I'm so sad and single'.
-Reblogged a few times in 2012-2014 about wanting a gf. What do you guys think about that?

btw: Phil talking about his opinions on deep stuff like the universe, death, etc are everything I aspire in life. I would love to hear him waffle about philosophy at least half as much as dan does, he has a very unique mind that i think results in refreshing and peculiar thoughts, he is so smart, i wish he would embrace it more.

Statcounter is a tracking service you can put in certain websites to monitor traffic.

But I used it because on my previous tumblr I had some stalkers from my real life and I wanted to see where they were going.





You will get information like this. What country they are from, their IP (means nothing though tbh especially if you are internet savvy), your browser, screen resolution, windows or mac etc, what pages you visited, how long it took, where you came from (if you clicked from someone else's blog and it led you there for instance)

It's really useful. Most people on tumblr use it especially bc weirdos and creeps are too common. But yeah. You might betray your location or blog or how much you creeped on someone's tumblr.

You can check if they have statcounter by right clicking anywhere on their site -> inspect source -> it will show you the page with all the html and you just hit ctrl + f to search and type in "statcounter" it if it's there the code will come up in the results

It's incredibly useful if you have a suspicion the person is from your real life, or you're just incredibly nosy. I guess some people who are aspiring to reach big on tumblr use it to actually get information from it like what posts are popular but yes, be careful

It *will* show you where you came from. It won't show what words you googled to get to that page, since google removes them. If you came from here, for instance, if he did have statcounter it'd show that you clicked from indepthbants. Or if you clicked from your own tumblr. Just food for thought

If someone has statcounter and you see the page source, you'll see this if you search for "statcounter"



it'll appear in the code. You have to put it somewhere specifically but why waste time looking when you just hit two buttons and search quicker?

. The thing that fascinates me the most that he doesn't even care about what his audience will think about him, he reblogs whatever the heck he wants. I always wonder why he's so cautious about literally everything but his tumblr is the only exception. Maybe because if anyone asked he could blame it on 'having a aesthetic.'did i say that right?
