Interesting stuff. I really liked this video. Yet I could sense that Dan was in a different mood than in the other Gamingmas vids (perhaps more dinof-y?). I liked it though. I liked Dan getting real about Phil being a morally corrupt person.
Also idk if I've mentioned that I love the trend of Dan calling Phil a 'bitch' or 'bastard' playfully. Idk it just makes me laugh every time, and it makes Phil laugh too

Phil saved the video for me but Dan was pretty obviously pressed about something. I don't know if this was filmed today but if t was then I'm glad we didn't get a live show because I can't take Dan in this mood.

I'm pretty sure it was probably the more zealous phannies- the allusion to nobody bothering him, how horrible humans are, people wanting 20 minutes of staring...
Sounds like he is irritated with people trying to say they know him and his business ..but I could be reaching

Well, gamingmas was fun while it lasted. We were on such a roll. What Dan said at the first button press really soured my mood. Oh well.

...It's a joke. He's being sarcastic. Heck, I love my husband and spend every moment I can with him but we make jokes like this all the time. Don't let a joke ruin your mood, the rest of the video is really sweet.

Phil is really into this immortality thing.

Yes, he's mentioned wanting immortality enough in the past, that when the question came up, I knew he'd be interested. Still, his little palaver on choices being important made me smile. I resonate with Phil in that. He's deeper than Dan (who admits he's a basic ass Nihilist).

Also, Dan saying that Phil was all dark and twisted totally fed into this trope that exists in this one fic (by justhavesex on AO3) that I've yet to see in any other fan-media, where he is twisted and macabre. Loved it, though I don't actually perceive him that way.

Anyways, not my favorite video (too short!), but I enjoyed it.

I have to stay till 5:30 in school every day, and it's really hard. Stress, exhaustion, and school in general is overwhelming.

To come home knowing that theres a video waiting for me makes me so happy. For that I thank them both, by making my day easier


Edit: I can see some of you are unhappy with a video when there are less phan moments, that's silly. If they're not together (as I think), which is a possibility, it shouldn't shock you if they act in a friendly way, I think.

lol #phandivorced confirmed. in this episode: dan is moving to a deserted island, phil gets the channel, dan is murdered by phil multiple times...

i'd have liked this video more if i hadnt already seen like 10000 of these by markiplier. anyway ,it was interesting to hear some of their thoughts, but i feel like dan was supressing smth idk. i liked that phil went deep on that time question lol, show that smart side of yours!
it felt a little heavy on the acting (persona) front, but i guess we can't get relaxed letsplaylike videos like a yesterday one all the time.

um...I think you meant me? I'm not unhappy there are less phan moments, I'm unhappy there is literally an antiphan moment. I just feel like it's a bit of a step back.

I didn't really see it as a joke but obviously it's not 100% serious either. It's just annoying that he'd say it so seriously, even if he doesn't mean it.

5/10 for me. Nothing that I especially enjoyed about today's vid. The discussion about the questions was interesting, but I'd have liked them to be deeper. Granted, this is about as deep as the button gets.

Phil always seems so intense about wanting immortality, it's a bit shocking. The fact that he mildly considered that question is incredible, given I (and many others I know) could NEVER be talked into living forever. Everyone you love dies off slowly..... No. Thank. You.

He's probably making a joke because the reason he isn't doing a solo show is because he's out tonight "having a life" so to speak and knows the phandom will find out why he hasn't done a show tonight? Idk, he's got a very sarcastic sense of humour which does tend to come across as tetchy sometimes when it's not always meant in that vibe.

Wasn't that fussed on today's vid but I think that's mainly because I'm quite pedantic and got annoyed they kept reading the consequences wrong which irked me more than it should lol also, if there's drilling noises I'm assuming they've filmed it during the day and obviously they rang phils mum so that wouldn't have been too late, I think they must have a decent stockpile of vids waiting to be edited so hopefully we will get the full 24 or 25 vids

It was an ok video. Not the best but ok. I do agree with papierklemmen it did feel a bit persona like at some bits. Especially from dan, it was a bit extra in some parts to me. But other than that it was entertaining to watch. The glasses bit was probably the best part of the video for me.

that was an alright video. it had a different vibe, not necessarily a bad one... but- you know when one of them doesn't seem particularly in a good mood (dan, in this case) and the other one tries to compensate by being extra entertaining? yeah, that's kind of the feel that this video gave off.
dan kind of had this sarcastic undertone, and even though i'm a frequent sarcasm user myself (the worst thing i've ever said ), it's sometimes off-putting.

7:30-7:36 made that vid worthwhile for me so here i go with a truly ridiculous overanalysis of six seconds... love sassydan's affronted look when phil asks where he's gonna swim to (also love phil's tone of voice when he asks that) and then his little "i don't frickin know." then when dan says sperm whale, a seemingly random sea animal, it tickles phil. and you can just see the moment "sperm whale" registers with him, he turns to dan, raises his eyebrows as if to say "oh a sperm whale, huh?" and it looks like he refrains from actually saying something, but his amused, knowing face and little laugh speaks volumes.

then dan makes eye contact with phil at the exact amused, eye-brow raising moment and literally stammers mid sentence. seems like he's both realizing/considering what he said and is also momentarily distracted by phil's flirty face, but then chooses not to acknowledge it because how even could he acknowledge it? and while it was such a perfect chance for phil to make an innuendo and it was obviously on the tip of his tongue, i think it says a lot that he settles for just a cheeky "alright" and a smirk, and then it looks like he physically reigns himself in/sorta straightens up.
a telling moment all around--telling how amused phil was and the type of amusement it seemed to be (cheeky, teasing, unsurprised), telling how dan both did react but also deliberately didn't react, and lovely how phil respects dan's boundaries.

also yeah, dan was definitely in a grumpy mood and also seemed to be pretty tired. that's one thing about this gamingmas streak--they can't take a day off because they're feeling off or frustrated with one another. got me thinking about how much their livelihood, business, and brand depends upon them getting along with one another.

I liked the video well enough. It was really simple but I enjoyed hearing them talk about why/why not to press the button. I especially liked Phil's "don't play God" talk (and his glasses. And his sweater. Just, Phil in general tbh). I rolled my eyes at the island comment, but only because it was very on-brand and after their recent new-branding behavior it was seemingly out of nowhere. But what can you do.

One thing I did find... interesting, though, was 3:48. Dan's comment about solid eye contact and then the head tilt+zooming in on his face just felt very weird to me. To me it totally felt like he was shading heart eyes howell or w/e and it made me feel really weird. I don't know, I'm not one to say "Dan shades the phandom all the time!!1 Oh look Dan hates shippers!" (and I still don't think that, even after this) but I definitely got shady vibes from that comment and the wide-eyes-at-camera look.

I liked the video, but it certainly wasn't my favorite. Dan honestly just seemed a bit under the weather to me. Agree with iggy that it led to Phil trying to overcompensate. I like that Phil took the questions seriously and went into a bit more detail with his explanations. He saved the video for me, tbh.

I'm also wondering what tomorrow's video shall be (and when it was filmed).

Also, I love Phil.

eevee, I think it was just Dan trying to stay on brand. It just sits funny after the more natural Dan we have been seeing over the last 12 games.

Tbh I think Dan was lashing out with the desert island comment and the 'people are horrible', but not at Phil. I just think he was frustrated about something. Its not just branding- Dan is also a socially anxious person (not to diagnose or anything).
