Dan & Phil Part 34: It's a post-baking universe

That was a lovely ending to it all. The game itself is wrapped up so well with all the characters, it's really satisfying when a story finishes with everything resolved like that. They did well exploring everything again and going back to the main characters afterwards. The way they signed off right at the end was so sweet.

When they began this let's play earlier this year, I didn't think it would take the ENTIRE year to complete, but the journey I've been brought on was fucking amazing. I did not play the game, watch other videos, or spoiler myself in any way to truly enjoy this series. I admittedly got fed up half way through, wondering what direction the game was thinking and if it would ever have any ultimatum, but I'm speechless at how much I have enjoyed it onions may have been cut in my presence While it was slow to get through, I've loved this series so much.

I'm going to have to rewatch the video to really appreciate it but on first watch i really liked it. The story was nice and they were invested it which made it easy to take the journey with them. It's amazing that Dan and Phil can do a play through that takes a year and finish it with a 2 hour video and they still managed to make it really enjoyable the whole way through.

It makes me feel nostalgic and remember how it feels when I first play it. I feel so glad I've keep up with the series for so long, it's so worth it at the end. Dan and Phil makes me so happy and I really love them for it.

Wow. I didn't think I was that invested in Undertale but I'm actually quite sad to see it go. I got a little emotional watching the vid. Really gonna miss all those dumb puns and them doing all those silly voices. Loved the way they wrapped it up at the end though. Very sweet and gave me major feels. I play GW2 and it’s so obvious dan plays it by the way he’s just world exploring and interacting with everything like ffs that game’s perfect for him. I have comments on Dan's competitive-levels and GW2 but I am much too tired

I usually had the Undertale videos playing in the background because I wasn't super into them, but apparently it really dragged me in the last few times because I was gross-crying for most of that finale ( a lovely pile of tissues has covered my feet to prove it). I know they won't go through the other endings so now I have to go find more Let's Plays so I can see what the genocide and neutral routes look like (even though I won't enjoy them because it'll hurt). While I think a lot of the attachment is because of good writing on the game's part, I do think Phil and Dan's voice acting will make it difficult to watch anyone else...I'll always hear the character's in my head with those specific voices now

I didn't notice while watching, but when I was making my timestamps (love yours by the way, so many things I missed, the boys keep on giving) I noticed I was putting down more Dan-centric moments than Phil (as a philophile). and I haven't the darnedest why. maybe he was in a good mood when they filmed this, so he had an attracting aura, I don't know, but yeah he was on-point for me.

Yep, that's it. They record high bit rate full HD video, which means giant file sizes. On my crappy point and shoot camera I can record about 10 minutes of FHD video on a 8GB card, so it seems reasonable for them to have so little recording time, even on a 32bg card.

That's the finished, edited video. Double that file size, for the screen recorder and the camera on them, then add some for whatever they cut out/edit/fast forward through... it mounts up.

Sorry, misunderstood his tweet. But with investment of about 150 quid you can get a card that can handle 10 times as much.

Technically you can, but may be they don't see a point? Up until very recently their videos were all 720p. Plus, their format lends itself to not filming all at once, therefore they could film the talk-y bits before hand, transfer them on his computer, start editing, then film more stuff and so on. Plus a 256GB card is like $200, and it's in it's first generations, so it's still not a stable investment (don't mind me lol I swore off of everything that is younger than 3rd generation after two dead SSD's.)

so get 128 card. I mean come on, look at the bolded part, you can't claim it's easier than simply being secure your card won't fuck you up. Even if Undertale was an extreme case, many of their videos would probably be over 25 minutes in length with all the stuff they can edit out so...
