I got logged out while watching the liveshow & I never comment. Guess it might just be younow being shitty as usual? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯confusedpanda wrote:But can a broadcaster censor words in their own chat? But if a broadcaster is aloud to censor specific words, I agree with secretagentphan, it doesn't mean much as it just does get annoying when the chat will spam "phan".

Good grief, that's a pricy posh candle. Sand thingy's damn cheap, though. Weird world.

This is a complete Shit Post btw:
Now to actually have something meaningful to contribute: Dan mentioned the fact that Phil would be "shaking in the corner" from social interaction, that's kind of new, isn't it? Phil is quiet in social circumstances but generally people project social anxiety to Dan, mostly.

Uh, him being so self-conscious is why I don't really like his liveshows and abscond after merely half an hour
It was nice to see him though, and he seemed light-hearted (I searched afterwards to see his opinion about genocide run and meh).

I thought the same thing, though the pressure of socializing in a normal situation is quite different than when it's with a professional trying to address something gone terribly wrong in your personal living space, imo.000dia000 wrote:Now to actually have something meaningful to contribute: Dan mentioned the fact that Phil would be "shaking in the corner" from social interaction, that's kind of new, isn't it? Hi guys, regarding the question of whether the comments on the Voldy vid in that screenshot are real...I'm quite sure they're real.
Here are tweets from the day of the first unprivating that reference them:
And here are tweets from September 2012 (i.e. before the second "leak") that summarize the comments:

I always see nervous ticks in Phil, that's why i'm always confused when people say Dan relies on him in social situations.000dia000 wrote: Now to actually have something meaningful to contribute: Dan mentioned the fact that Phil would be "shaking in the corner" from social interaction, that's kind of new, isn't it? I'm pretty sure it comes from Dan once saying that he used Phil as his social shield. That was in regards to the radio show though, when Phil wasn't there and Dan had the responsibility of taking calls which was usually Phil's job. Dan was visibly nervous about it, like he'd obviously talk to people on the phone in other shows too but Phil always lead the conversations. I guess Phil is also more prone to talking to people at social events, even if only to be polite, while Dan actively avoids social interaction so he dicks around on his phone instead until he's forced to say something.malday wrote:I always see nervous ticks in Phil, that's why i'm always confused when people say Dan relies on him in social situations.000dia000 wrote: Now to actually have something meaningful to contribute: Dan mentioned the fact that Phil would be "shaking in the corner" from social interaction, that's kind of new, isn't it? I've seen more people do it in general for a while now. Gleam probably is catching on because they want a more intimate relationship for their audience. I see right through their marketing antics lolmalday wrote:it could've been a glitch.confusedpanda wrote:But can a broadcaster censor words in their own chat? I think Phil might be particularly uncomfortable with the situation of a repairman coming into the house (I relate). Dan referenced this in his other live show when he said Phil was acting like a meerkat when the gas man was coming over. I picture him in this comic from Introvert Doodles:000dia000 wrote:Now to actually have something meaningful to contribute: Dan mentioned the fact that Phil would be "shaking in the corner" from social interaction, that's kind of new, isn't it? Thanks and have a great day! Oil me
I've always thought that Dan was really a complete introvert, like socializing is mentally and physically tiring for him (he might have mentionned it in a video and it stuck in my head because : same). Phil is easily more at ease with talking and people but a repairman (i.e. a stranger) coming to your house (i.e. a place supposedly safe and well-known) to fix things you don't understand... it is pretty stressful even for the most flamboyant extravert because it makes you feel like an ignorant in your own house. And as much as Phil does seem to be an extravert, he has a lot of nervous or anxious tics. Also, Dan mentionned in "I nearly blinded myself" that Phil is nervous in stressful situations (in the video, when Dan was making them late before taking the plane).Catallena wrote:I'm pretty sure it comes from Dan once saying that he used Phil as his social shield. tl;dr Even if Phil handles social situations better than Dan, he seems more affected by stress.

Re: the aesthetic candle, I couldn't help but think of the joint liveshow moment (can't remember the date or timestamp
) when dnp are talking about Dan's favourite candles and Phil literally quotes Dan's preferences by saying 'black', 'ash' and 'oil' or something. I wonder if he'd already purchased the present by then aaahh. Anyway, great show tonight, loved Dan being so soft and positive and mentioning Phil so so often

I don't know why because I've obviously never met him but Phil seems to me to have a very comfortable northern mum type personality, worrying about being late and trying to offer Louise a kit Kat to cheer her up in the awkward fancy meal thing, so I just assumed he was mildly on edge because there were strangers in his home and dan basically abandoned him to deal with them, I'm having visions of him offering many cups of tea and snacks whilst hovering in doorways as thats the northern mum way of dealing with repair men (I'm aware these aren't traits solely dedicated to northern mums it's just what I associate them with)buffy wrote:I think Phil might be particularly uncomfortable with the situation of a repairman coming into the house (I relate). You don't need Latin to get into law school in England, you need a high boredom tolerance. There is some Law terminology that is Latin however it's always explained in lectures you're not expected to know the meaning before it's taught to you (that's my personal experience anyway)

Dan was hilarious during that live show- it was something special. Additional note: I haven't mentioned this recently, but to mix up the diversity of opinion, I don't believe D+P are a couple. I'm always surprised by the disconnect in my perception and then other peoples' after for example watching this live show. Dan does mention Phil a lot, but that doesn't really give me boyfriend-y vibes?
Anyway, I'm laughing at how Dan gets inadvertantly sexual sometimes- like his 'In the new year I'm looking forward to experimenting with-' and then a double take where he realizes the sexual connotations. Also, 'I don't hear men in the house-' and then a cheeky laugh and a 'context'.

i’m pretty sure dan doesn’t know latin. during the outlast 2 demo (@10:08) phil mentions he knows latin, says a phrase in latin and dan asks “what does that mean?” but the reddit thing is funny regardless.Artdefines06 wrote:Don't you learn latin in Law School?

The only thing I found weird about the fish comment (probably because he's not eating meat tbh) is that he talked about burgers and pizza (if he's vegan) without saying anything but all of a sudden decides to make that comment regarding fish, phrased the way he did too.... that boy smh
Also I think there's a difference between getting anxious from stress/strange people in your house/home improvements ect.. and being introverted and anxious in social situations. That's where deppy seem to differ imo
