also, real question, as i have not been in the phandom long, but do dan and phil not generally leave the flat without the other? christ, i honestly thought that stories about how they rarely leave the flat and are always together were exaggerated for shippy purposes.

I feel like this could apply pretty generally to a lot of phandom things even down to the basic concept of believing they're together. You don't quite believe how legit it is until you see it for yourself. But welcome to the phandom, where we don't need to make up the romantic/dependent behavior, Dan and Phil actually do it for us.

That being said, the answer to your question is that yes, they rarely leave the house without one another unless one is away for family and/or work purposes (both of which they've also definitely done together anyway). That or they're running a quick errand/buying a treat, in which case they get one for their other half. It's cute. And gross. And very real.

Agreed. This was my experience, anyway, although I'm a few years younger than Phil. It makes me wonder how his friends reacted to that part of the game. He could've still played it off as a "lol, GAY" joke but I think most guys that age would of made the interaction about a mff threesome in the first place. It just seems like an easier joke that's not as likely to provoke teasing, so I think it's interesting that he didn't do that.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say that maybe some of his friends he made the game to play with were lgbt as well, and maybe he added that with them in mind.

This is so interesting, because, the very reason I (and I'd imagine many others) didn't know what the fuck to believe in the beginning (this was the time Dan and Phil insisted they met through a mutual friend, you newbies have no idea how good you have it) was because the story that made the most sense was just so unbelievable, and like fanfiction. It definitely came off as something someone would read in a fanfiction.

Their story probably has nuances and stuff we don't know about, but the things we do know just sound so unbelievable? This was something that seriously made me doubt phan in the beginning, and also question everything (the gaslightling was so real)

Because I am bisexual, I will chime in whenever someone says something that could possibly be bi erasure or could possibly mean that someone is bisexual. I just need to clarify that bisexuality is real and I get excited when other people are bi, sorry not sorry. Not saying you were trying to erase bisexuality, uglyamerican, I'd like to believe that wasn't your intention, but I am just very sensitive when it comes to this topic because bi erasure is a real thing I have to deal with all the time

Nope, I wasn't trying to "erase" bisexuality at all. It certainly exists in the spectrum of human sexuality, and furthermore imo it is as legitimate as exclusively hetero- or homosexual relationships. I just don't read anything into the MMF vs. MFF threesome choice in this game. From my experience I have seen both, and it wasn't necessarily indicative of later sexual preferences. I can see teen boys loudly expressing a preference for a MFF fantasy to their peers, while quietly exploring a MMF experience with trusted friend.

yeah, i'm incredibly grateful that newbies like me already have bulleted AND analysed summaries of every activity, eye contact, word from deppy but also kind of sad that i missed such a clusterfuck series of events (but also really not because i am weak against any sort of pain).

idk about the fan fiction thing, i'd imagine it's different for each person, of course, but for me, i read and write fic and have done for the past decade and that definitely affects how i see and perceive things, if that makes sense: it seems so impossible that it can only happen in a fanfic but also not, because fanfic tropes is a part of how i think :wtf: . i rarely follow rps though, because mostly it's purely shippy and queerbaiting (pls don't open this particular can of worms again, just literally mentioning it in passing), but it's like, this is so incredible that they actually do this/went through this, no way can it be real, wishful thinking, blah, blah I MUST GO DEEPER, and make up my mind if there's substance to find.

I think I'm judging you more for keeping up with j2 bc it's so irrelevant now. Also, with that background, I can see why deppy seem so different to you than other rps. it's really not much of a reach to believe they're canon after those ships (although, I totally think jensen ackles is bi, and had a fling with misha collins and his wife)

I don't know if anyone already mentioned it but Felix uploaded a really long interview a few days ago where he talks about lots of stuff, and I found some of the stuff he said about his relationship with Marzia really interesting, especially because of some possible similarities with deppy's relationship and more specifically an argument in favour of voldy's veracity:

He basically said that he used to sent her videos of him and that he uploaded those on his channel as private videos, and also that he used to spend time making those videos as if they were normal videos on his channel so they weren't just quick messages. He even says that some of those videos are still privated on his channel, which he comments that it's dangerous.

Even though it doesn't prove that voldy was real at all, it actually proves that youtubers used to sent private videos on their channels to loved ones, which is something that I've seen some people completely dismiss as something that "noone would do since it is stupid and dangerous" while discussing voldy. So at least we can now agree that it wasn't uncommon at all for youtubers to do such a thing in those days, which in the end serves as just another argument in favour of voldy's veracity.
