Dan and Phil made a big deal over having separate rooms in hotel during their trip, including Phil filming himself "waking up" alone while it was obvious he was actually up before and put on clothes before filming which in context of the situation was seen as some grand betrayal and not a reasonable thing to do. That was... literally it I think? The rest was quite well received.

tl;dr: i think the moving video was filmed right around the very end of march with the end where everything's boxed up being filmed right before they left on their trip, and that they came back and officially moved into the new place and are acting like they're still packing to throw people off. none of this is important but i'm just that weirdo who likes to have a timeframe for things, so

It seems clear that they did their packing before they left. I would bet money that the movers came while they were gone, and quite possible did some of the less-personal packing for them. And, hey, they probably hired someone to do a move-out cleaning too. What's money for if not to get someone else to do unpleasant tasks for you.

I'm sure they're doing all their unpacking on their own. That's much more personal, and fun, if still exhausting.

It was unsettlingly no-homo/no-phano, in that there was a long intro about Phil getting up and even eating breakfast by himself and then going to see if he could find Dan, who was staying in a different hotel room. This after an implication in something (tweet? liveshow? idk) that during the Aus tatinof they and their crew were doing short-term-stay rentals in suites (because they had no bus) and of course Deppy shared a suite. This was also after seeing an AP video and a liveshow done during the US tatinof that showed them sharing a two-bed motel room in each instance (and the dinof video from that period had an ambiguous room setup). So it all felt very in-your-face (and this was of course before we were treated to how they handled the bed situation in the tatinof documentary).

the possibility of it being 'we moved (without announcing) and settled and now you can ask us stuff' seems not applicable as they have announced the move. and also Dan seemed to calculate in his head sort of precisely when to ask him about the week in march. so..any ideas what is going to happen next? or could that still be related to the move, because at the time of the ls they were not planning on making the video (but from watching it I had the feeling that they did plan to say goodbye to the flat with a video)

so yeah, any ideas?

after tatinof, i honestly have no idea what they could possibly announce anymore. are they making a trip to the moon? they're getting married

i kid but they are such creative boys it could really be anything. i'd say we're gonna read way too much into it and be underwhelmed by a routine merch announcement, but would he really mention it like that? it could have something to do with the move, as you mention, but i'm not sure what he would mention that for either. i feel like we're gonna be surprised whatever it is, since they're so great at bringing things out of left field. (as they tried to do with this moving video haha)

i also feel the rebranding in the air, but not in as intentional of a sense. i think the move will simply give them a fresh slate in their lives, and therefore transfer to their videos. in more of an organic way, like the gradual disappearance of llamas, placentas, and the lolzrandomXD phase. i feel like they'll feel a little bit different so they'll in turn act a little bit different you know. they'll still be the nerdy boys we know and love though, always.

to be honest after the move even the moon would feel disappointment

maybe Dan wrote a book. a proper story/short stories one. they are both great storytellers. or they are planning making a full length movie The Basket 2 and yeah everything seems possible now, even marriage

It can't be a wall I think, look how the crease goes up and then just sort of straighten up, I doubt that would happen with an actual corner

The respite from sleuthing and the trimphant confirmation was nice, now back to work Nancy Drews! But yeah it's probably just a window blind.

Came to say it's likely a pull down window blind but was beaten to it. I have something similar and it has the same plastic thing on the bottom that you pull it down with and can very easily get creases like that if it's pushed in toward the window.
