Can you tell I've finished exams now and have literally nothing better to do but peruse their wikipedias?
[offtopic]same except without the exams. apart from weird socialising going on wikiped crawls is how ive spent most of my life atm, looking at british election maps and political history (underrated historical drama tbh) is the only way to live
oh also im sure you'll have done v well in your exams everyone who has had them [/offtopic]
ugh since im up here education fun did you know that, rather than referring to him by his common nickname the 'grand old man', william gladstones rival benjamin disraeli often called him 'gods only mistake'

I mean, he is clearly very close with them, so why couldn't he go see them often without there needing to be an emergency. Besides, Phil mentioned in his last ls that Martyn had recently moved house and that he had given him a houseplant, so in my opinion it's plausible that his previous 'family thing' had something to do with that. Additionally, as someone already mentioned, it is Fathers' Day in the UK on Sunday.
It's because the trip seems to be a little sudden.. If he had planned a visit he probably would've told us that there wouldn't be a liveshow on Thursday in his own show but he had Dan suddenly announce it instead. Of course it could've slipped his mind but they do usually tell us when they won't be able to make it next time or are postponing. On top of that, Phil basically just came back from a loooong holiday with his parents. Of course he might jus want to see his grandparents and I agree that Father's Day is definitely the most plausible theory rn (though I don't get leaving in the beginning of the week for that.. must be nice to decide your own hours I guess), but that's where the family emergency theory comes from and I don't think it's that weird of a thing to think of.
I don't think the trip was sudden, because he told us at the beginning of June that he would be busy during the week some weeks and that his liveshows would be sporadic and he might not always know what day he was going to be available.

Hmm sounds like something someone with a pregnant wife who's about to pop would say... Also, constantly being 'away' makes it easier to hide the fact they don't live together. I'm officially all in on that theory btw. It speaks to me.

so it was sabrina who was killed when the roof of their new to-be-renovated house collapsed in march? and phil's going to be a single father of 4, living in the basement and keeping his children in that tiny storage room... must be tough, we'll have to be nice to him if he doesn't make videos for a while. thanks for confirming, cherrybomb3, your words are the only way for us to know the truth that has been kept secret for so long. what a ray of hope in this unstable world.

i think not, because if he divorced janice, he's left with 0 wives. unless liam is a code name for phil...
IDK I've seen more genuine videos. As someone pointed out in the last thread, it's likely they planned the abduction, then they pretend not to know a lot about it, don't wanna check if Dil's pregnant/don't know how to, but in the end they both smoothly recall to use the satellite bowl to cancel further abductions. Or did they re-record parts and that is what the description refers to (stating audio problems)? Idk idk I am not a fan of this one.
I agree, it feels a bit planned out, all of this, but oh well, I still enjoyed it.
I feel like they both just fondly indulged each other with things, Phil being like "oh well alright Dan, keep on acting like you're in denial about the pregnancy", and Dan giving in on Phil wanting to do the transformation of the day, that was sweet. Reminds me of that being balanced in gaming videos discussion we had recently.
I always enjoy some good Sims content, always happy when they upload.
I enjoyed watching the Sims vid. It's not one of my faves, but I still found it enjoyable. I'm looking forward to the next one though, should be a good one.

I was gonna say the same thing, obviously a lot of their Sims videos have some staging. Tbh I think this has been their plan for a while. When I first started watching them, the hour I finished the Sims series, they uploaded the one where Tabitha gets abducted and most of the comments were about Dil getting pregnant. I've seen this coming for a while now, I don't know about anyone else. They barely even tried to act surprised. lol
Made me feel better since I'm having a shit day (tho that's just kind of every day but today especially sucks)
Dan was funny about trying to avoid the likelihood of the pregnancy to Phil. Phil was pretty low key all through the video too, even when they were facepalming. Dan's parenty shouting, getting more and more shouty, was a surprise, bit loud and, well, shouty.
They really should have known male pregnancy on being abducted is possible since Phil said he used to play The Sims 2 or 3 and certainly in 2 every adult man who got abducted came back pregnant. But then they also don't know that Dab's homework is in his inventory as it was in Sims 3 (in 2 they used to walk all over the place to find a desk to put it on and if there wasn't one, or it had a computer on it, they'd put it on the floor nearby. It was a daily game of find the homework, even more annoying in winter when it got buried in the snow, thank goodness for the inventory).
Dan was cute in his olive green Gatorland tshirt. I liked Phil's tshirt too, can't quite make out the print on it.
why do they feel the need to pretend they don't know about the alien pregnancy? Why couldn't they just say they tried to get Dil abducted? I just don't get it I would have enjoyed it far more if they admitted they were trying for something exciting to happen (tried to get Dil abducted on purpose) as this charade. Seeing them excited about finally managing Dil to get abducted would have been far more genuine and enjoyable than them trying to pretend 'accidental things happen on accident'. I mean from the whole video the best & exciting moment was the selfie discovery. (at least there was a pleasant liveshow yesterday, otherwise the last video that I enjoyed was the future prediction for Dan one that is already almost one month old)
that was a good sims video! not one of my favorites, but still good. i didnt think the alien pregnancy thing was legit but..i guess it is :wtf: ah well. sims will be sims.
I wasn't feeling the last two or so episodes of the Sims series very much but I actually enjoyed this one quite a bit. I mean, Dil's alien pregnancy is quite obviously staged and the bit in the beginning with Phil acting like he wasn't aware of it while Dan was being extra was almost insulting to my intelligence, but it had some cute bants and we got D&P contemplating whether they could handle another child as if it were real. Bless them. Dab x Evan OTP 4 EVER.

Re. Sims:Staged or not, the bants in this vid were great. I loved Dan's jokes of the constant baby denial with the editing that had the alien fading on the screen (is it just me or has the editing changed/improved? not necessarily improved, but there are more editing effects imo). Also Phil was all over the place with his whacking Dan, v much approved (and was that some stubble I detected? )
Hoping for a lil girl so Tabs isn't the only female Howlter, should be some good, action-packed future sims episodes!
