Just wanted to say thanks again for all the interesting responses to my question and for such a civil exchange of opinions, this truly is an excellent part of the internet. (bluewho I might still be coherent but you can tell I've had cocktails bc I'm getting soppy over discourse with internet strangers
)

Before Phil goes live...
has this been talked about? It seems that there was something specific that irked him.
(I went to chek replies on his LGBT reblog and there were indeed many people calling him "danyul", in various cringy ways..

Maybe he checks the comments on all his reblogs, but the fact that he was checking that one is still pretty funny to me...
(Also, this was a couple pages back, but I just wanted to thank everyone who shared their personal experiences in the religious+sexuality conversation. My personal faith is very important to me, as is my sexual orientation, and it can be incredibly disheartening when there's a cultural divide between belief and sexuality. I know it's not been good for everyone, but hearing those experiences is just very, very nice, and I'm glad your experiences have been positive and supportive. )
Anyway, gonna go groom my horse while listening to the liveshow!

And delightfully weird. I enjoy his mind so much -- this whole fruit tangent has me snort laughing quietly into my keyboard.

So far this LS has been really fun. This comment is pointless, I just wanted to say that I hope everyone spams a billion gifsets of Phil very emphatically saying 'manboob'.

When Phil took a water break, I have that exact same water glass on my desk right now (full of water ofc), and he pulled it from off-screen from the same side that my glass was on, and for a split second I thought the universe had been broken.

that was suuuuch a good liveshow. he looked pretty and seemed energetic and happy and was so very phil and i am just happy this human exists and shares something of himself with the world!
in slightly less sappy news: they seem to have a round ceiling!! this picture is not the best quality but when it was moving (quite in the beginning) it really seemed a lot like it. so, round wall AND round ceiling. i more and more begin to understand their statements about the apartment being so weird.

Wait, THAT was a mandarin orange? I've only ever eaten the cut up slices from cans, I've never seen what they look like in their natural form.argo wrote:I liked when he called the mandarin orange a nectarine
I'm excited for the gaming vid tomorrow!

That was a very fun liveshow, he's so energetic and into everything. I like the new plant, it has pretty leaves. Curved room looks interesting, very unusual.
I got a post on my profile afterwards too, never had that before, I don't know if it's an automatically generated random thing. It said "thanks for coming to the show, here's a free clementine (not a grapefruit)" with the fruit emoji.

It looked like a clementine to me, so I did some googling and apparently... clementines ARE mandarins? They're a member of the mandarin family, along with tangerines. My entire worldview has been changed forever...onetruetrash wrote:Wait, THAT was a mandarin orange? Also, I think it's safe to confirm that Phil secretly likes the "clean me, dad" trend. Either that or he's had some serious bad luck with ~accidentally~ reading those comments out loud.

I get so excited whenever we get to see another sneak peek of the duphlex! Gimme the candle haul on DINI pls!
No one here mentioned the llama song making a comeback?
I love DANYUL HOWL with all of my trash-filled heart!
Mods I'm surprised there's no llama emoji? Old branding being destroyed and all that, but for the sake of nostalgia (2011 Dan)?
Off to watch Phillys liveshow!

I really enjoyed Phil's live show.
He was just talking about a lot of random things and I like it when he is in this kind of mood.

Ahhhh Phil at his adorable quirky best
I wonder if someone should point out to him that bamboo grows incredibly quickly and it may take over his entire flat! From Wikipedia:
Not that I think his particular species of bamboo will grow 3ft a day but even still, he might want to move it outside sooner rather than later!

:wtf: :wtf: :wtf:Bamboos include some of the fastest-growing plants in the world, due to a unique rhizome-dependent system. Certain species of bamboo can grow 91 cm (3 ft) within a 24-hour period, at a rate of almost 4 cm (1.5 in) an hour (a growth around 1 mm every 90 seconds, or one inch every 40 minutes).

Oh man, the man boob discussion and the hamster story had me laughing out loud. (I'm still giggling about it, actually.) He seemed in a really good mood today, I do hope the sore throat doesn't get much worse!
I'm quite glad smell-o-vision isn't a thing yet, though, as I probably would've had to turn it off at the fruit bit. I've always had a weird aversion to citrus fruits although watching Phil juggle was definitely a highlight for me. It reminded me of the first baking video, How To Make British Pancakes, and made me a bit nostalgic for a second.

I love him. I missed him. What the hell was he on? And where the hell was he sat?
I was out running an errand when the liveshow started and when I got back he was juggling in front of his bamboo tree and complaining about grapefruit, which same. So I had to go back to the beginning. Was disappointed he didn't mention what room he was in. I'm thinking dining room, maybe open to the living room? He seemed to be sat at a table with that bowl of satsuma/mandarin oranges/tangerines/clementines in arms reach. So yeah.
Seriously though, so happy and hyper and definitely not getting sick. "We're going to start talking about tree houses because I want to." A few minutes later: "How did we get on the subject of tree houses?" I'm paraphrasing but basically that. Going to rewatch tonight. He had me laughing and smiling so many times. "Peck." What a blessing Phil Lester is.
Umm I did notice a few instances where he used "I" and "me" where it probably should have been "we" and "us" most notably being asked to be a part of Markiplier's video. But he added Dan on and didn't refrain from talking about him or anything. I'm not suggesting trouble in paradise. He just seemed very independent. So there goes that codependency conversation.
And yes I was happy to see the llama song on Dan's Twitter, amongst other great mentions (cowboy au, fursona) even though he refused to sing it during the liveshow (can't blame him) and gave that as the reason for ending it. They both seemed in really good moods today.

John Waters made his film "Polyester" in "Odorama." Every theater patron got a scratch-and-sniff card, and was cued to scratch the "odor" that corresponded to a number flashed on the screen /movie-trivia.outerspacehowlters wrote:
