Wow, this was underwhelming Maybe it's because I neither watch Mark and Jack nor most of the other YouTubers, but it just seemed like a bunch of YouTubers unnecessarily popping up during a "fight" that could have made an epic video. I didn't even watch it until the end because the sound was so bad and I didn't understand enough. Who knows, maybe it actually is good when you know what everyone is saying ...

i think they were supposed to be in some alternate "dark side" universe and all these other"dark side" youtubers kept popping up and interrupting them. however, much of that is totally lost in the way it was executed. it could have been such a great concept as well - there should have been more of an introduction or something.

i have a feeling that they're going to postpone uploading because of tomska's sketch, which really bums me out it's so weird to think that just this time last year it was the norm for them to upload this infrequently (or frequently, depending which way you look at it), even they were still in the middle of the tour.

im hoping for a dream daddy video but that seems like it's a long way off, hopefully a golf with friends will be uploaded soon too

I love Mark's video and I barely watch any of the others either. I follow Jack and Mark on Tumblr, though, so I've seen fan art and a few other posts about these dark sides. I've only seen one or two videos with the main characters, but that feels like enough to get what they're about. It's really fun to have all these other dark sides coming in trying to vanquish them, I'd be intrigued for them to be developed more (I'm easily inspired to write or draw something of my own, but by gods I've been trying to hold off writing real-person fic. At least this would be of fictional personas). I loved the editing especially how the grey and red looks on Mark.

If I was more critical, there could be more to it, Brizzy and Phil's personas are pretty cute and we know Phil could be way darker, and the ending comes from a cute left field. The sound effect at the end is kinda gross, though that's the point of it, it's really the most horrifying part for all the evil the whole thing's trying to be (having said that, Dan's bit was spooky).

I think it's funny how Dan's bit was on green screen but the background ended up being his old room. Two things: I don't know whether the background was Dan's idea or Mark's, but I like to think there was really no reason for Dan to shoot at Vidcon when he could have done it at home, but he just wanted to be with Phil while he shot his (and I like to think he was too possessive to let Phil go alone).

Also, if Dan didn't want to show his new room so much that they used his old room in the Markiplier video, then why did he do his ls from there unless all the theorizing on here is true.

One other thing I haven't seen mentioned yet is that DAPGO is nominated for book of the year at SITC. Guess if they win they'll have something prerecorded like for TABINOF. How is the winner chosen?

I hope Phil's uncertainty was just a slight delay in them playing Dream Daddy and not a complete no. I really don't want this game to make it into the pile of games they won't play even though there's so much hype (see Life is Strange).

now that i've actually played the game and watched markiplier play...i'm not sure it'd actually be that interesting? (which obviously hasn't stopped them before...), like the amount of gameplay time and space to bant isn't all that much? And I don't know if I want 4 or 5 episodes of the same lolol you said daddy jokes.

I laughed a couple of times but it wasn't as good as I hoped it would be. Dan's bits were better than Tom's -

I liked it when he said he'd reached the limit of his quota of social interaction and put the box on his head and when he threw the gun at the alien!

I love him in that shirt but wish it wasn't quite as long

I liked it, it made me laugh a few times. Was wondering how the alien bit was going to get introduced, wasn't quite expecting that. I agree that the jokes were kind of cliche but I still liked Tom and Dan's delivery.

Yeah I sorta agree with you here. The main reason I still want them to play is to see what daddy they create lol. I've been watching jacksepticeye's playthrough and the game really isn't that interesting (too much talking for me). I hope that if Dan and Phil do play it, that they'll either make it a live stream or skip past some of the talking. If they don't decide to skip the talking, it'll probably take as long as it took for them to finally finish Undertale to finish the game. Who knows though, maybe I'll enjoy their playthrough anyway (I actually liked My Horse Prince), because I certainly do likewatching them play games more than Jack (even though I love Jack. I just think he talks too much sometimes). I saw some of Mark's playthrough as well (Jack's taking longer to upload, and I'm impatient ok) and I had to put it on 2x speed because that game is just. too. slow!

maybe tinder rejected the finished video and that's why he said he couldn't upload, but then they got some...other funding...i have no idea how video production works...and decided to...cancel the sponsorship and...upload nevertheless...that's why tom could suddenly upload it again? i realize that this is not a good theory, but the two tweets made it sound like the video got rejected again and then something changed, so i originally assumed he had to change something in post-production. however seeing that it wasn't a spon after all that doesn't make any sense -- the way the first tweet was phrased really made it sound as if it was something out of tom's control, which wouldn't be the case if it never was a sponsorship in the first place.

sorry this post is all over the place, i've looked at a screen for too long today. i agree with the opinions on tom's sketch in general -- liked it but liked rejects a lot better, and also thought dan's lines/deliveries were funnier. might also be a problem of being oversaturated with bad pick-up lines after dan's video though.

i wonder what had to be changed due to tom's important line being missing? also, we had all pretty much figured out the just of the plot before seeing it, so i think that may also have made it less exciting.

i do love that bit at the very end after the credits! i almost clicked out before, but remembered tom likes to add a cheeky last frame.

Could be because I don't go out much and therefore any pick up line - except the very stalest - would be fresh to me, but I laughed so much at this. Great delivery too. I'll be showing this vid to a lot of people who aren't otherwise fans of either, simply because it's hilarious.

I was wondering what it was that seemed a bit off to me and I think it was exactly this. Maybe because the other scripts were rejected, Tom used another idea he had and added Dan to it? It was a solid video but it was definitely average and could have been better

I actually think this is a totally valid and accurate theory, because this totally seems like it should have been a Tinder spon. I feel bad for Tom if it was a last second rejection though. Like, Tinder... you know what kind of videos Tom makes. What were you expecting?
