'WHY HULLO THAR' and "hi there" is the same video, he just renamed it.

Edit: Cue me posting the exact same thing daphenaxa already beat me to, haha.

Here's his tweet filming the video + SERIOUS BUSINESS that went up the same day on his main channel.

("Tomorrow", lol. It took him 11 days to actually upload them, good to know he hasn't changed.)

He uploaded both those on Feb 27th and the next Dini video (Aeroplane Adventures) the day after, Feb 28th, just as he promised in the description.

It IS unusual for Dan to have a video thumbnail that's not in the actual video, and the tags reference a scene that simply. isn't. there. Very frustrating. It's definitely the same video, but perhaps he edited the video as he renamed it to cut a part out...? Youtube does allow you to cut parts out of videos you've already uploaded so it's not impossible I don't think.

Someone with a fresh set of eyes feel free to do some digging on this because bye and I are sooooo done with that bloody video I s2g.

I'd love some sort of clear answer to everything pls.

I just prioritized reading up on the 50+ pages I missed instead of watching the new videos, what am I doing. Nice seeing you guys again, will catch up later but now i will zzz as i have gotten about 2 hours sleep this week x] < 3

Alright, mildly OT but throwback to like 6 pages ago and who Dan follows on twitter, who the boys follow on instagram.
i spent an entire chem lecture going through both their 'following' lists and was genuinely confused by some of the people they follow. That being said, I've never seen them active on instagram aside from posting their own photos, they've never popped up in the 'so and so liked 8 photos' bit if ya feel, so I really can't conclude how much they actually do use it.

I don't find it offensive like some people here. Idk it might be the way Dan has grown up with it. Not defending him in anyway just another side to the story. maybe someone should say something to him in the liveshow on Tuesday and he might try to stop it. If he was talking about a real person, people would be more up in arms about it.
But if it made the young phandom start to throw the slurs around to real life people. I think we would have a major problem.

Add me to the "I don't give two shits about Dil, but I enjoy TS4 nevertheless" and as such, this is right up there as (one of) my fave TS vids.
I love the fact that they're just bludgeoning their way through having little to no idea what they're doing, but we get so many "moments" from D&P every time they play this game I don't even care.

Dan's reactions to the plate, the fire and the abduction were so genuine. I didn't need the opening screech at 7:06am, (that's my own stupid fault though!) but I knew to expect it after his initial reaction to the abduction, so...!
Not going time stamp hunting, but did anyone else notice Phil's copying of Dan's reactions after the abduction. Little glance before covering his face and grabbing the back of his neck? Really jarred me, especially after the contrast in Hazel's vid yesterday. Oh Phil.

Hey! It seems like there's some cool archival/detective work going on, which is exciting! Can't wait to catch up on that.

For now I just want to say that the Sims video was hilarious. I've said it before and I'll say it again: I love the Sims videos; they're my favorite gaming channel videos. So I'm pretty easy to please when it comes to good old Dil.

But this episode was particularly random and funny. The alien abduction was unreal. I'm with jaej: I like Dan's yelling. I find it funny.

I just want to mention one moment that stuck out to me: at like 10:33 or so, when Dan talks about the triceratops by the fireplace, he sounds like 19-year-old Dan. Something about his speaking patterns has changed significantly since then, but when I heard him say that sentence it was really weird; he sounded like he does it in early videos. Idk. I liked it.

Also, his hair. Yes.

Forgot to mention these two very important points

- @ that screenshot of dan daaaaaamn those thighs are thicccccc very nice. He's so beautiful and i can only hope Mr Lester reminds him daily . I also love Dan a lot because he's the kind of person who calls his genitals "naughty area" and says "making love" when talking about sex.

- lex (lexcanroar) isn't innactive, it's just that her main channel is named differently (tyrannosauruslexx)

@ironic those are some inspirational screenshots i kind of want to make an edit of that part of the video in slow motion with some dramatic classical music.

Re the sims video, yes, finally something interesting happening, I enjoyed the surprise but I do wish it was Dil who got abducted cuz I'm curious to see how Deppy will handle male pregnancy. But non the less, the episode was loud and persona-heavy, but thanks to all the accidents I have lotta fun.

Re the stinky hoe comment. It did made me go "em... :/" for a minute. I know he didn't mean anything, he is not misogynistic, but the fact he used the word "hoe" in a derogatory way merely for the comedy factor, really makes me feel a little disappointed. I know he used to be problematic but now he seems to be all "gender role is the worst, i'm a feminist" so i really wished he'd known better.

Re Phil is in control. I personally don't think Dan and Phil are the same type of control freak, Dan seems to be the kinda person who always try to gain more control, but Phil, he is just naturally in control. Phil has a firm grip on his life and he will never let it go. Dan, on the other hand, when he is losing grip of his life, he tries to empower himself by controlling his surroundings.

I enjoy Phil and Hazel's chemistry very much, but I don't have much hope for their upcoming collab, because let's face it, Phil's only gonna be more in persona when it comes to the video on his own channel.

Re Dan's hairline. LOL Dan is having a descending hairline, just as Phil also have a descending hairline, as someone mentioned before (probably jeaj). #Hairbroforlive , suck that Caspar.

This totally got missed but, he IS 24 now (almost 25) And It could be that his hairline is receding a bit but It doesn't mean that he will completely go bald/It wont stop receding. It just happens with age... Some people get gray hairs when they are 18 =X, I have a "bald spot"(not completely bald) on one temple.

Usually hair loss it's more prominent where hair are parted, considering Dan has always parted his hair the same way I think it's quite normal...
Anyway don't worry.... I know many guys the same age as Dan with serious baldness problem, in comparison this is nothing....

My suggestion: stop with the straightening, at least for a while, would help to not stress his hair...(7+ years of hair straightening almost everyday is a lot of stress and damage!!!)

I think it's that in "I forgot that we had a little triceratops on the bar" he pronounces the "t" at the end of "that" quite strongly, and that's probably fairly unusual in his speech now as he's more relaxed on camera, while when he first made videos he would have made more of an effort to sound ar-ti-cu-late, so he would have been using that pronunciation more often.

When he says "hows about we activate all the moodlet things" at 10:24 he definitely doesn't pronounce the "t" at the end of "about", "activate" and "moodlet" anywhere near the same extent. So "that" is probably just a random outlier.

I really liked how everything went wrong in the Sims video. The fact that they started out the video thinking it was going to be a spa day and ended up with Dil starting a fire and Tabitha getting abducted I loved how they didn't know how to react to any of it

Regarding Dan's hoe comments, I live in an area where the words "hoe" and "thot" are constantly thrown around, and it gets the people laughing as well. The thing is it’s the context that makes it funny not the word itself, people find slut shaming hilarious. People find exposing “thots” hilarious. So to me finding the word hoe and thot funny means you find slut shaming funny. I know Dan means no harm when he says “thot” and “hoe”, but it still really bothers me. I expected him to know better. I expected him to know that "hoe" really isn't funny and by saying it even if it's towards a fictional character he is kind of condoning those type of comments. I'm sure if someone let's him know that it's offending people he will stop.

Also, is it just me or were there more "close-up" shots of Phil's face than usual in this Sims video? It looked like Dan was having fun zooming in on Phil's face's during editing?

Is it possible that the stinky hoe is some kind of meme/trend that we don't know about? I think Dan these days, not saying i'm blaming kanye, I think he just use too many black people slangs, it's weird. Like how he say par-tay instead of party, say shiz instead of shit. Not saying he's appropriating black culture tho. But it's weird. No offense to white people, but I think he's just too white, and too british. Imagine if shane dawson do that, nobody would even notice.

Often times you can tell who edited the video by seeing whose face gets zoomed in on more. If Dan edits we get more shots of Phil’s face close up, and when Phil edits it is the other way around. Quite cute.

I also agree with the people on Dan’s hair, when he pushed it aside . Both Dan and Phil would do well to get rid of the fringe, but we all know that is not likely to happen.
