Forty+ minute long videos are so damn satisfying, oh my god. I would handle those weekly with ease.

- Are they aware that they are gravitating towards each other's personality types? It's so blatant that they must be aware. Phil specifically said he likes the dad with hipster music tastes, who is awkward and talks too much. Dan said he likes the wholesome dad and then talked about Mary as #goals.

- Two good family mentions from Dan: his grandma still followers him on twitter and reads his tweets, and he specifically said from his experience the moment you stop living with your parents you love your family more.

- Phil being excited every time Mat comes onscreen is delightful.

- A lot of cute togetherness in their commentary on things: they're late for everything, they'd both rather go to Bed Bath and Beyond than the Hot Topic ripoff, Wine Dine Mastermind sounds like something they'd watch, Dan relates the cooking show with yelling to when they started watching Steven Universe thinking it would be relaxing but it wasn't.

I mean, sort of, I posted it but the Danthony video came out seconds later and it got buried. I certainly thought it was interesting, although we can't really say its DnP related seeing as we have no idea what Tom does or does not know, and both Tom and Mark have their own fanbases and relationships to talk about. Its an interesting topic though, and I appreciated them for talking about it so openly.

Now, onto the Dream Daddy video.

Dan, try to contain your enthusiasm about robert please. Your drool actually escaped onto my keyboard and I had to clean it up lol.

Honestly they don't really seem into any of the dads, which is fair. I'm a bit sad because I've watched some other playthroughs and know that they are deeper than they all seem at first impression, and dismissing them as too jock or too stuck up or whatever is denying yourself a good experience. I guess life can be like that too. Reminds me of how they treated Eliza when she just wanted to come to Dil's house and talk, but now that they know her better they care a bit more.

I thought it would have been when amanda went out on her midnight thing. Someone I watched had it then because she pushed him to go out when he said he was staying in. Maybe its based on the father-daughter relationship? I was curious on my the dadbook thing didn't come up either, I thought it was supposed to be right at the end of the bbq? I havent actually played the game though, so who knows what weird editing things all the youtubers are doing.

Loved the video.
I think a big part of why I enjoy these videos so much because I have no idea about the actual game, so I'm really invested in the story. I need to rewatch the video again to have a proper opinion on it (other than OMG they are so cute), but I was just melting the whole time because of Dan helping Phil pronounce difficult words and reading when they clicked too fast. I know they've mentioned that it's difficult for Phil to read when the text goes too fast and I just love how Dan does it automatically without the slightest teasing.

But also, come on Phil, you could have said sh*t once, but noooo! You had to make Dan read that line.

It was still a nice and pretty relaxing video, but I would be very okay with them not playing it anymore. (Though I definitely think they'll keep playing it).

Amanda had her sleepover with the two Emmas and Dad went to the bar to let her have the new house to herself. Based on Mark and Jack's Dream Daddy at least the dadbook happened the morning after Amanda was late coming home.

I really liked the video. With all the shit going on in the US and some stuff with my health I needed a break in the form of a dip and dot video. Also I hope that all the Spanish idbers are okay. I am sorry for the tragedy that occurred. I personally don't expect Dan and Phil to tweet after every tragedy. I didn't tweet after any of this shitshow of a week. Just because they didn't tweet does not mean that they didn't do anything or don't care. It's not like anyone is using deppy as their sole source of news. I'm interested in hearing more points of view though.

Apparently, there is a choice to go to sleep or go watch the game (at the bar). But they didn't show when they made the choice in the first part.

Very cute, very long, much dialogue. I did zone out a bit toward the end, but I'm tired. I'm very positive that everyone was wanting them to play Dream Daddy only because they were hoping for more of an insight into D&P's sexuality/attractions. A gay, daddy dating simulator? DIP n PIP MUST PLAY IT!(1!1!) #gaydads When the phandom pushes, it shoves.

I was initially excited to see them play it because I love any and all LGBT representation, and it's not as if I'm not dying inside curious about their relationship/sexuality etc. as well, but... I'm not totally in LOVE with their playthrough of the game. I mean do like them, and I'm glad they're making them! But there's not as much cute banter/domesticity as when they're playing other games.

I don't think they're uncomfortable, and I could be reading them wrong, but to me they just seem a little more selective with what they choose to comment on, and maybe a little stiff? That could just be the style of the game not allowing for much chit-chat, though. It is a very text-heavy roleplaying style game without much room for commentary, which makes me sad. Haha.

Does anyone else get the impression that Phil is even more guarded/careful in what he says than Dan? Hmm. My tinfoil hat may be on too tight today.

I've wondered about that a lot too actually, especially because he tries to express himself a lot through his clothes and dumps a lot of money on designer brands. I think the latest pastel sweatshirts which have print on the sleeve had more of his influence than phil's and they were actually inspired heavily by the brand Vetements.

also note, dan's sexual fantasies sweater and the Drink from me and live forever jumper are both from Vetements. i think everyone know's this but i just feel like the new jap merch is just a MUCH geekier verison of the vetements shirts. also maybe the reason why he won't let go of the japanese font bc he thinks it's "cool" and his merch would look boring without it, the whiskers are overdone and cringe anyways

I hope they come out with some shirts like the galaxy one that aren't just t shirts of themselves on it, I have a t shirt but everyone always ask me who it is. Something I can casually wear without explaining would be nice. I love Savannah's no fun ringer shirt, looks like something you can actually buy at a store.

To be fair, I had a look at her merch, and the shirt Dan wears is the best available, and only by just. The shirts look borderline Pyjamas/tacky shirts from Primark. Sticking random words on a shirt isn't that artistic. I'm more interested that he seems to be a big enough fan of Savannah to actually promo her merch in a video. I know they sat beside each other at the BONCAS, but (out of curiosity) has Dan actually ever spoken about her or her videos before? Savannah's videos are the epitome of the kind of angsty, self-depreciative aesthetic that Dan strives for, so it doesn't terribly surprise me. If I want to be mean and cynical, I say he does it because it makes HIM money

A thing I found interesting was at the end of the Dad BBQ, when all the Dads were speaking, one after the other, Dan did the voice for every single one. I know that Phil does the voice for Dilddy, so it probably makes sense whilst reading for Dan to provide the answering voice to Phil's more constant protagonist/narrative. However, it's just disappointing, especially considering that Phil was very close to pushing the main Dilddy-person onto Dan to narrate. Dan really dominates the voices and I wish Phil had more weird voice opportunities, Dan seems to be struggling to really differentiate the character voices now

Something occurred to me while watching this: I'm not sure I would lose any enjoyment from watching this game if I chose to watch another youtuber doing it. I find that most of my enjoyment (if any) comes from just the game itself, and very little from deppy's interactions with it. This isn't always like that, they've done many Undertale videos that I loved, but their enthusiasm in this is just subpar to what they're capable of. It's just passable. I don't hate it, but there aren't any stand-out, stellar moments that I can pull from this video. Other than the moment Dan pulls a raspberry using the crook of his elbow and I spent the next ten minutes attempting the same.

But he didn't know he was married until this episode, when the wife showed up.
Like others have said he went for the wholesome personality, which resembles Phil's (or at least his persona).
